Staff was not friendly and kindly. Nurses like government hospital’s attendants . They don’t deal with patients very well. They just like models. They just come with doctors and they act Like a doctor. Doesn’t show any kindly or friendly look not only nurses but also cashiers and pharmacy staff. It is better to go a government hospital.

Doctors never comes at time of appointment. We've been waiting for 2 hours and so sign of the doctor yet. The management must act in this issue. They cannot let their customers to loose some valuable time

Don’t buy or get any medical packages. They can’t handle it and just it like a government hospital. Some young nurses (Room208 and 212) have very poor hospitality for patients and they have no polite words and habits. They acting like a government hospital. Really it is equal to government hospital never like a private hospital. Matured nurses are very polite and they know how to handle patients and how to talk to patients and customers. In pharmacy side, first we have to select medicines and again we have to go cashier for medicines payment. We cant pay money for medicine to pharmacy what a joke 😂. OPD doctor is joker man 🤪. He also don’t know how to talk to customers. He also acting like a government doctor no polite habits. But the admin staff is over all good but some times not good. The medical staff was totally worst. I never chose this hospital again.

Very bad service in vascular unit. Have to wait nearly one hour in queues for the deposits and bill settlement, time wasting like government hospital. In the hospital we can see so many staff but only two cashiers in the unit that will cause the queues. Appoinment charges are also higher than other hospitals in the area and doctor is not come to the time. Poor management.

My baby was with low birth weight & hence the Doctor recommended to give her a multi vitamin and an iron syrup for 03 MONTHS. The pharmacists of the hospital has given an antibiotic instead of the iron syrup. It has to be commenced from 14 days to the baby and luckily she has refused it & we stopped by day 1. They are very careless and playing with the human lives. Highly disappointed

What Im about to mention here is a serious issue you are having in your hospital and it should be rectified as soon as possible.Many patients are having a very bad experience at your Vascular unit. This issue puts the health of the patients ingrave danger. All the time doctor's arrival to the channel is delayed more than 2 hours. And this morning also im at the vascular unit and its been almost 4 hours since the appointment time which is 6 in the morning. There are almost 100 patients waiting outside until the doctor arrives. Those people has to stay with their wounds open which can cause infections very easily. The small piece of bandage nurses put on the wound untile doctor arrive is not goingto prevent infections at all. Also as the appointment time is 6 in the morning most of these patients have come without having their breakfast. So the poor patients have to bear wound pain and the hunger also. Do you think this is acceptable. This has to rectified. The doctor is professional and he has healed many patients and I really respect him for it. But this issue must be addressed as soon as possible. Please at least reply to this and let us know how you are going to solve this issue

I Booked the doctor Ranjuka Ubesiri ,for treatment to my father via online and appointment time was 3.30 PM , doctor came 5.00 PM, its very unfortunate how these private hostpitals waste our time even for paid service, all these need ti address, all our time are important and we get a service for what we pay. And doesnt recomment this hostpital service to anyone, its very unefficient from doctors to all staff in counters.

I have stayed twice here first time in a DLX room and this time supper DLX, I must say that it's Excellent service and well managed hospital highly recommended. Only negative fact thet there billing possess is not customer friendly.

Our patient was diagnosed to do a venous duplex scan for a left leg. It was mentioned in the prescription clearly. But the staff member at cashier counter Had not billed for that since there were some more tests; which she included in the receipt. Then we went to do the scan at the doctors' room. We were asked to go and correct the receipt. Although it was hospital mistake, we went downstairs and got the reciept for that duplex scan also. Meanwhile our patient was sent out of doctors' room saying they cannot do the scan without paid receipt, although the Radiology consultant had the prescription from the VP. At the cashier we were given a receipt for the duplex test for both legs, but we only needed scanning for left leg. We again asked about it and they didnt bother about that. Also, cashier asked from us about the cost of the scan, which was ashtonishing for us. Hospital cashier database seem to be without the price for that scan. Then we went again to the doctors' room. Meanwhile had to wait since next appointment numbers were taken into the doctors' room. Then at there, we again asked if they have billed for both legs scan. Again the nurse near the doctor asked us to go and correct ourselves. We rejected since it was hospital fault. Then they corrected the receipt in handwriting for one leg scan. Due to hospital mismanagement, we had to goto the cashier three times. Absolutely pathetic to see the low quality of laboratory test procedures done by Ruhunu Hospital. You will be charged for all the scans and tests, but maybe without any need to do so. Never recommending this place to anyone due to high prices, and low quality procedures.

Well organised and clean hospital. They offer wide range of medical services including ETU management, surgical services, maternity services, laboratory and many other. They have large rooms offering at a very economical price and the staff is friendly and work with a good attitude to serve patients. One of a best hospital in galle. Highly recommended.

Managment and coordination is like government hospital. Processes are not working properly and there are more than enough staff but no supervision I think. Bad experience with RAT staff, accounts staff and minor staff specially.

I was so delighted with the modern facilities & the new outlook at the hospital as a patient. Nursing staff was so kind & very efficient. As a in house patient admin staff was so helpful to go extra mile & sort my problems. Regularly they have checked my requirements with a care. On my request they have provided me an individual wifi router for my usage as per my urgency. Newly built rooms are very comfortable & in down south it’s the one of best hospital. Last week it took about 30 min to get medicine from its pharmacy even there were only 3 people in the queue. Really slow and don't care about the people. But good to have doctor appointments. Though there are so many nurses in the staff, we don't receive the proper service as customers. They just talk around. We don't receive any pleasant answer even we ask something. Specially, the nurse who talks to the patients of the Dr.Krishantha Jayasekara is so unkind. Her works are not proper. We don't feel comfortable here. This is the way from the reception. Unpleasant, unkind, not helpful. You can't expect any coming back of the customers due to this condition.

She was getting hard to breath while in there when we informed the nurses they remember they forgot a medication for her. Then her saturation keep dropping and they said its not serious just dont panic. But we discharged her forcefully and took her to colombo general hospital in one of their ambulance in night. But their ambulance driver is drunk and he cant even drive. He kept breaking suddenly when he is feeling sleepy. and the oxygen cylinder was not full when it was loaded to the ambulance. It emptied halfway to hospital. And when we arrived at colombo hospital there is no oxygen and patients saturation was dropped to 65. ...DONT EVER ADMIT TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU VALUE YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES LIVES....

Not recommended! Ruhunu hospital pvt ltd is very close to Karapitiya Main hospital. Because of that it has a reputation in the area and most of the doctors from Karapitiya hospital available here. Recently, the hospital was developed to newer facilities with an attractive environment and called it as Ruhunu 2.0. Though whatever developments came in to to place, it is unable reach the quality and standard up to a hospital situated in Colombo. Simply because of their staff I would say. As example, on 20th January 2020 when I seated next to the operation theatre I heard, a nurse shouting at a patient. The patient had come for a catract surgery. The patient had asked the nurse for the possibility go to the toilet. It was not in the middle of surgery. However, if it is not possible she would have told her nicely. Up to date, as I had heard only government hospital nurses behaved in this manner. It is unfortunate that to experience these after spending thousands of money. On another day, around 4 am cane to the hospital. At the entrance I was asked to stop by the Nurse, saying only one person is allowed to enter with the patient. I did not raise any concern understanding the situation of the Covid 19 pandemic.I am fine, if it was for everyone. It was only for selected people. Later I saw, 3 people together entered and happened several times. I was asked to wait outside where no chairs were found. Though there are chairs at downstairs near x ray room, the area was dark. I could understood, if this was a crowded time. It was early morning around 4 and that is how their staff treat the customers who pay their salaries. Even at cashiers, they double check from you whether the payment is done by card or cash. If payments are made by cards, they add the surchage according to a percentage of the total bill like a retail store. In retail stores also that does not happen anymore. Anyway for the same doctor, once I had to pay a sum of Rs.2,180 and after a week I was charged Rs. 2,200. I do not know how they have calculated. No clue from cashiers after inquiry also. Suggesting you to find a better place!

Had a worst experience at Xray unit today. Usually I tolarate small incidents happen because all are people and busy. The incharge of xray unit talked me very poor way and his job is not acceptable.never recommend Ruhuna to anyone.

This hospital & some doctors exploit the patients in all possible ways. Do not consider this place as an option if you cannot afford a Rs. 50,000 bill (without doctors charges) PER DAY! And the doctors charge will be a another Rs. 10,000 ++ for a single visit! The most frustrating part is that they would say that the room charges will be around Rs.4000 per day when they get the patient admitted! It is not fair to charge more than 10 times higher price in the end! People, Beware of this type of disputes!

We have admitted for C-Section delivery of our baby.our experience was good.Dr.Lanka dasanayake (VOG) and his staff are highly professional and efficient.As well as Dr.Dilani Dehigama (Consultant Pediatrician) gave good care for our little one.Nursing staff on the 3rd floor gave valuable service to my wife and our baby.As well as their room service and food quality are good. Worst private hospital experience so far. Went there for an IOL (intraocular lens implant). We paid to have the surgery in a private hospital fearing a government hospital might be more risky in this covid situation. But it was completely the opposite when we went there. We did not get any accommodation for the period of the surgery preparation which was more than 5 hours despite of the high price we paid. (We assumed we would get a room since that is normal in other hospitals in my experience) They had asked all the scheduled patients of the day to come at the same time making unnecessary queues at all preparation steps. We had to go to multiple places and stand in queues for pressure checking, checking in, rapid antigen test and payment for checking in. Had to stand in each queue for about 1/2 hour since all the patients were there at the same time at the each queue. Some had to wait longer including many old patients. Staff had zero care about social distancing and covid guidelines. They did not give any clear instructions to what is going to happen next which caused everyone to gather near the theater waiting for any news on the next step. Furthermore there were no sanitizers available in the waiting areas which I think is obviously a must. Bathrooms did not have any soap. One I went to didn't even have a working bidet shower

I was always seen on time for my appointments by Prof Krishan Silva who is an extremely knowledgeable and competent Dr- I can’t recommend him enough. I came to ruhunu hospital vascular clinic conducted by well known surgeon to show one of my relatives.We came from very far distance area called bibile passara by paying over Rs.35,000 for hired vehicle.when we came to that clinic,over crowded patient(over 100 patients)were there.situation was really a mess and it was very very difficult to control the patients and their care takers.we were really disappointed seeing the crowd.Then one fully bold headed with moustache manager of the hospital came to the clinic are and he was able to control the situation and made it everything in order and fare manner.So fortunately we got the opportunity to meet the doctor and got expected treatment.If not we would have to waste our hardly earned money. Sadly we are not aware the name of that manager and we wish to extend our sincere gratitude to that manager and to all staff of the ruhunu hospital.Ruhunu hospital we are so proud of you and wising you all to archive your future development dreams.
