Like I had some numbness in my body after a car accident on 15/12/2022 Due to the numbness, my upper front teeth were also numb As I am a K.D. Pathirana professor, I met Muhuwa and made an appointment I told him the symptoms that I was very uncomfortable with He didn't count any of that and he was in a big hurry When I showed him my x-tray reports, he took them and kept them aside. I was surprised by what Mahu told me He told me that I had developed a mental illness after the car accident😡 After that I realized that he was not observing me properly😥 Then on 31/01/2023 I went to see Dr. Nishantha Gunasekara at Galle Ruhunu Hospital. He listened to me very carefully and he told me that I had a pinched nerve in my spinal cord. I am taking the medicine he gave me and I am feeling better now. Innocent poor people who see this letter are requested not to go to Galle Asiri Hospital. They scammed my money (dr K.d. Pathirana 😡 ) Covered my illness I kindly request that patients who want to take medicine for an illness do not visit this station

I admitted in Asiri hospital -galle for 4 days to take treatments for Dengi fever. As usual I channeled Dr. Lekamwasam who I used to take medicines normally. She paid a great attention on me and the nursing staff also highly dedicated. The food they provided also tasty. Overall for the admission I give 5-stars. But for the OPD facilities are not in the satisfied level and almost all the doctors are normally delay.

My biggest disappointment is doctors never comes on time. The hospital administration must carefully look into this matter. The customer satisfaction will go down day by day. The other matter is parking. There are no enough parking slots in the hospital. There are no enough toilet facilities to patients who are waiting for doctors consultation. Service was very poor. During the pandemic to do PCR test I have contacted person call Sanjeewani at Asiri hospital Galle.She does not know any service etiquettes.She has done a blunder when coordinate the request. She doesn't know any idea about their customer. They go behind the money. She doesn't have any basic human skills. This hospital management should understand,if they keep this type of unprofessional staff with out proper training, in this competitive environment, will not able to survive hospital business.

The quality of care here is laughable. I am extremely disappointed at how I was treated by the doctor. I came early morning yesterday because I had a severe fever, sweats, and body ache. I got a blood test done to rule out Dengue since it is going around. After my blood test they made me come back an hour and a half later, annoying because if you're feeling sick the last thing you want to do is run around all day.. but anyways, I came back and was positive for the flu. After getting my results they then made me make another appointment 7 hours later to see a doctor to get my medicine. Also annoying of course.. I came back to see the doctor who then prescribed me a medication. I went to the hospital pharmacy and they didn't even stock what I had been prescribed. My friend ended up running around to 5 different pharmacies to try and find this medicine for me. After having no luck, we returned to the doctor to inquire why he would prescribe something that was unavailable. His response was a chuckle and he said "just look around for it". I am absolutely repulsed by his behavior. I still have no medication. Luckily because I am going and healthy I will be okay, but he could SERIOUSLY be putting people's lives at risk her with this horrendous quality of care. Not to mention I paid thousands of rupees to come back and see this doctor for a prescription I can't even find. Absolute bs.

Like the other reviews we also want to agree, that the patient management is absolutely poor. We waited so long to come to room number one. After we seated in front of the room, we waited again for a long time. What is the difficulty to come punctual? Locals have to pay 2500 Rs, Foreigners 3600 Rs… Furthermore it was very hot in the entrance area. It’s not worth the money. Basically: not the best hospital we visited here in Sri Lanka. (And we visited a lot.)

Friendly and helpful people at the entrance and the reception, the hospital itself looks nice, clean and well maintained, but the doctor being late for over an hour is really not acceptable for a private hospital where you pay for consultation in advance. Can't tell anything about the quality of care, as we left after an hour of waiting and being continuously told that "the doctor is on his way". Judging from other reviews, seems that it's happening regularly, too. Waste of time and money.

Friend of mine was sick recently, this country is on its arse at the moment but the level of efficiency getting him registered and treated was exceptional. It is a private hospital so be aware of costs, it is a business after all. Very clean and is manned by helpful staff with good English. Some of the top consultants in the country work there.

Had a grain of sand stuck under my eyelid and was referred here, ophthalmologist only saw patients after 8 pm and I had to wait for 1.5h, but Dr. Seneviratne did a great job removing it quickly and prescribed antibiotic/antinflammtory eye drops. The customer service was good and the nurses are kind and kid friendly,l chose a normal room because others are full,there are 3 different kind of rooms They are, Normal rooms Semilucury room Luxury room The normal is good too,the washroom inside the room is clean,there is a menu I have put in photography, that menu is only for the people who are only the people that are coming to stay with patient it says if the patient eat them and something happen they will not take any responsibility there are meals for the patient the money for patient meal is included in the room charge in the menu the food is a bit expensive I stayed in room number 205 there the televisions some channels did not work I contacted the hospital ward then they said they will fix it but they didn't came and the washroom is locking from inside everytime we can open it with a small peak that is all

I HATE THIS PLACE ! I am currently being held against my will as they refuse to let me leave after a 6 day admission because they messed up and dismissed the 3rd party dealing with our foreign medical aid and now we have to pay an OUTRAGEOUS amount cash upfront …. I am a solo 21 year old female traveler and they have not once ounce of consideration for the challenges I have suffered from this hospital and this illness. I have been here for 6 days after a severe infection that spread to my blood. I’ve been in excruciating pain and been dismissed of that pain and forcefully held down when cleaning the extremely painful wound. The administration here is outrageous and unbelievably disorganized with new people telling us new things every 2 minutes which has led to extreme confusion. I thought that this experience itself count get worse considering how sick I was but the hospital itself made sure to put the cherry on top. Hopefully I’m not locked away in some cell here by the time the next person comes because they’re holding me still … mixed bag of nice nurses and doctors and just plain dismissive and rude ones good-luck with the pick of the draw.

This place has a good channelling service and consultants covering all most all specialities can be channelled . Treatment after admission is also very good with a friendly staff and environment . All needed investigations can be done with in the hospital as well. Rooms of admission are very clean and comfortable , has air conditioning and attached bathroom. Overall one of the good hospitals with regard to outlook as well as the service.

Couldn’t recommend more. I would definitely have another appendectomy here. All jokes aside, for what was a very stressful situation (appendicitis), the ward staff, doctors, everyone involved were awesome. Special thanks to my surgeon, Dr Wijesundara who was absolutely fantastic. Calm, very informative, and completely understanding of how stressful the situation was for me. Also, the ward staff were fantastic and super patient with me, and the food definitely exceeded expectations. My sincere thanks to everyone involved in my treatment.

Great hospital. Got here with severe infection - “last minute”. Immediately was accepted by .Ms. Dilshani and Mr. Ashoka and started to feel better. The staff is super professional and friendly. Saved my leg with a smile. The room and kitchen also contribute to the experience. BTWthe food is one of the best I had in SL. Big hug and many thanks to the team who made my stay and got me standing on two legs, literally. It is ok. As usual all doctors are late for their appointments. If this is a private hospital then they should have some standards and make sure their visiting doctors all come on time. So many patients left to wait for long hours without any explanations or sincereity.

Terrible & dissapointed Its really meaningless to admit here for any illness. Employees are very careless, even cordinator does not knows what is process of the hospital & what are the steps should be go through.. Not recommented! I was admitted in the evening, after lot of byrocracy and quite unfriendly staff. Next day, They did some ultra sound, blood tests, but doctor came to see me after 3pm!! And the results from tests they told me after 5pm. That was totally useless to stay in the hospital all night and all day, they didn’t give me any medicaments, any treatment. If i knew this, i could come morning for scan and blood, and afternoon for results, without paying crazy money for room, which was outdated and not the cleanest. They just try get as much money as possible from you. Quality of care is poor.

My husband and I had full body health checks at Asiri Hospital, Galle last week. Sanjeewani, the Wellness Centre Manager was waiting for us when we arrived and she co ordinated everything from start to finish. We had chosen to do a very comprehensive and full package of tests, but even so everything was so smooth and stress free with very little waiting time between tests. We were so well looked after and all of the nurses, consultants and doctors we encountered were so kind and were happy to discuss the tests with us. We did not feel rushed at any time. Also we thought the cost was very reasonable and competitive for such a big range of tests. We were surprised and pleased to discover that almost all of the test results were ready by the end of the same day and were discussed with us in detail by a doctor before we went home. Thankyou to the professional team at Asiri who made what could have been a very stressful day easy and a positive experience. Highly recommended.

The worst hospital I have ever been in. And the most expensive! I paid 600,000 lkr for four days there, which is 2000 euros, and the medicine (antibiotics) alone is said to have been more than half of the amount. For generica from India and Pakistan! I asked in a pharmacy how much these antibiotics cost, a pack 7500 lkr! Those are mafiosi there. As a foreigner, please never go there but to a government hospital! Much better care!!! I have also filed an ad and I want to go to the embassy too. 2000 euros for 4 days, cheeky to the power of ten!

Horrible experience. They charge foreigners with ridiculous fees and the service is terrible. I had to come three times to see different doctors and although they call you to confirm the appointment time the doctors come whenever they want. One doctor was delayed one hour and half, the next day one hour, and the other doctor was delayed for almost two hours. Why do they give you an appointment time then? And if you ask if you can come later they tell you “NO. Doctor only available at this time.”

On August 4, my son had to undergo a surgery on the index finger. I stayed one night in the hospital. The surgery was done well. But the removing suture part was not done properly. Two nurses done the suture removing part. I had to wait for couple of hours for the correct bill from 6.30 p.m to 8.30 p.m. Though i had the bill it was not the correct one and I had to reimburse some monies on the following day. This is alright. But the pathetic part is though the nurses did remove the sutures on August 14, several parts of the sutures were also there in the wound. After 10 days I got to know the pain on the wound of my son's finger, and noticed that some suture parts were there. I took back my son to the Asiri hospital on August 24, showed the finger to the relevant surgeon. He wanted me to go back to the operating theater and got the work done. He telephoned the theater staff. My son complained of paining at the time of suture removal I did not utter any word relating to our pain and went back. My son had to bear additional and unwanted pain due to this unwanted act. My time and money were wasted due to this careless act. May such things not happen to anybody who come to Asiri Galle care!!!! Points suggested - I would like to suggest a proper light to be fixed at the suture removing point. Rashika Gamage

I'm so disappointed by the in-hospital medical care of Asiri Hospital, Galle. - Admission process takes so long. - Rooms are not well maintained. - Poor intercommunication & coordination. - Get many hours to prepare the bills & finalise. - Not enough parking facilities. This is not the standard we expect from Asiri Hospitals. Anyways I would mention that they have some good staff members who are dedicative. Overall Poor service compared to the charges. Parking facility is limited for patients, inside parking slots keep vacant for doctors. Seems it is unpleasant because all patients paid hospital and also doctors. Most of doctors will not presant ringt time. Therefore long queue of patients are waiting for their doctor in the evening.

While visiting SL on a holiday, I developed symptoms for Covid-19 and tested positive. I was in Galle and it was quite unexpected and traumatizing. Especially because I’m fully vaccinated and in good health. I reached out to Asiri Hospital in Galle right away and they immediately jumped into action. Within an hour, I was sent to their Intermediate Care Centre at the Amari Hotel. They coordinated all necessary insurance paperwork and accommodation needs requested by me. The medical treatment I received was highly effective and enabled me to make a quick and full recovery. The staff and medical team understood that I was alone and a foreigner, and did everything possible to make my care comfortable, professional and quality focussed. Very impressive and well organized system! Thank you for taking care of me.

They are cheat! I wanted a PCR test report from them for my flight from Colombo on the next day. On the day before they said, they have specific schedule for sample collection and asked me to come next day. They confirmed me that if I can come at 7 am then they will deliver report by 10pm, on the night of my flight. I went to Asiri next day before 7 am and gave my sample and came to Colombo. They were supposed to email me the report and it also supposed to be available in their website. To my utter surprise it was not emailed or uploaded until 11:30 pm. I tried to call them but my roaming number having problem with outgoing call. Then i asked my hotel manager to help me. He also tried to contact their call center, talked to different people but nobody could help. Then I planned to go early to airport and reach their outpost and thought they might be able to contact and get this done. Thankfully the airport staff were able to contact and get the report uploaded in their site and I got the printout from there.

Highly disappointed with the experience had today. Dr.K.D. Pathirana's session was arranged to 5 p.m. but dr has arrived 7.20 p.m. waiting will be ok for 1 hour. But 2 1/2 hours is not reasonable. If the doctor usually get late, management has to adjusted the time (pls don't tell inaccurate time to people about time of doctor's arrival) . Every one's time is valuable. And also only one staff member for carrying wheel chairs. I'm inconvenienced much of that experience.

Service is very poor. The doctor hasn't arrived even after 2 hours from the supposedly starting time of the session. Still waiting in the lobby where there is no A/C . Won't be coming here again

OPD: the worst time management Comparatively all the doctors do not visit on-time ( most of the time it will change from 1 hrs to 3 hrs ) please refer to all the reviews, more than 90% mentioned it with evidence. Most nurses do not provided kindly and flexible service..Simply they do not care about patients. Admission: Front desk staff provided helpful service Room: Not bad Safety: Emergency evacuation plan mentioned in the room's door to be developed and updated.

I stayed two nights following to a bad cough associated with severe asthma Service is excellent , Nursing staff is very kind and helpful They looked after me very well Facilities are very good .Cleanliness is well maintained. Thanks to all Physicians and Nursing staff

They completely ripped me off. They over-charged me and are completely overpriced. One antibiotic injection cost 8000LKR and they put 6 on my bill, where I only was given three. They added many extra items on the bill and they even charged me 40$ for gauze…as if I have lost a leg. I called them today and asked their pricing for a night and they specifically said that for foreigners the pricing is more. My weeks medication I got from the pharmacy outside was 4000LKR (including antibiotics) and in the hospital they tried to charge me 62000LKR for my meds for one day. Make sure you ask for a detailed bill and don’t let them convince you otherwise. The main doctor was in such a hurry he had one foot out of the door while coming to see me and barely spent 3 min. The nurses were lovely and caring in the ward I was in.
