I was looking for a blue sapphire for my mom and a blue green sapphire for myself. There are a lot of gem and jewelry shops at Galle but Safri at Cara Jewellers did not disappoint me at all and I can strongly recommend this store! He gave a very good service and ensured that I can select the sapphire I was looking for! Once the sapphire has been selected he helped me to define the look of the ring and gave some good advice. He took the time for me and I did not feel rushed at all. When I saw the ring 1,5 days later it was even more amazing than I’ve expected! I still cannot stop looking at it. The pendant for my mom was already a finished handcraft which I selected in the store with an amazing dark blue sapphire. It also looks amazing! Both sapphire stones received a certificate. I felt very welcome and very well consulted by Safri. In case I’ll travel back to Sri Lanka, I’ll visit Cara Jewelles for sure again!

When visiting Sri Lanka in Jan 2019 we visited Cara Jewellers in search of an engagement ring. We could not recommend Safri and his team highly enough. The service was second to none. After picking a beautiful blue sapphire they made my ring exactly as I wanted. We also had his and hers wedding rings made. Even though we had left Galle, the rings were delivered to us over 1 hour away. In December 2022 when I wanted an another ring I did not hesitate to contact Safri. He was extremely helpful on helping me work within my budget and made me a beautiful pink tourmaline ring. It was shipped to Ireland very promptly with no issues. Highly recommend Cara Jewellers if visiting Galle or looking to get jewellery shipped internationally. 5 star service

Can recommend this place. Looks legit and good customer service in the store. We also had contact through WhatsApp when we left and he explained again some things around stones etc. they also delivered the bracelet to our hotel which needed to be shortened. We spend 90 minutes in the store. We bought a couple of rings, necklace and bracelet. They have many different designs, stones, and can do everything you ask for in a coupe of days. imho the prices for gold are expensive and the stones with „the best quality“ also seem a bit expensive. Silver and stones with apparently not the highest (but still good) quality do have good prices. So I recommend to definitely ask for different kind of stones etc to get a good feeling about the broad variety they have - which is a good thing! Some customers only want to have the most expensive thing and some want to have the best deal. If we are in Galle again - we will visit this store again :-)

Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Picked up the most amazing royal blue sapphire ring with my wife on our last night in Sri Lanka. They stayed open till late in off season so they could re-size the ring before we left. The certificate went missing (adorable story, little daughter caught on camera playing with it while her dad was about to head to hospital for the birth of another child) but they were very kind and apologetic and when found, they even mailed the certificate to us in Australia. A+ would visit again. Thank you!!

We decided to buy wedding rings in Sri Lanka and I think we were really lucky to find this store and meet Safri! We’ve spent a day searching in other stores and were ready to give up the idea, but in Cara Jewellers we found what we needed - great quality, reasonable price, friendly and responsible owner. Rings were ready by the time we discussed and Safri was ready to help with everything. It’s really important that the owner is taking so much care of the customers and is so responsible for products he sells.

The choice of jewellery was really good- also some unusual unique designs- very helpful and personal service. Highly recommended.

We were recommended Cara Jewellers by another local offduty jeweller and I’m really glad we went there. Safri was really helpful and professional, and it was easy to communicate what I wanted for him to create a ring within my price range with a beautiful blue sapphire I chose. He finished it overnight and came in early the next morning so I could pick it up before we left and the ring is stunning. As a gift it comes presented really nicely and my mum loves it. We went to a jewellery workshop the next day further out of the city and they confirmed it was an authentic stone, great workmanship and a fair price given the expensive market in Galle Fort. There are some dodgy shops around but Cara has a good reputation for a reason and if I’m back in Galle I’ll definitely visit them again! Thanks again Safri!

Price, quality, staff and owners? They are all 5 stars. Ordered a customized wedding ring to replace my old one (a trendier design) and had my other ring remodeled. The results were lovely and recommend the quality of their Sapphires & Diamonds without hesitation.

I bought a beautiful Blue sapphire ring and my sister bought lovely Pink sapphire earrings. I have never seen anything like it and we did a lot of looking at a lot of different stores all over the country. Highly recommended.
