Beautiful mangrove boat tour with Krishan for sunrise. 🌅 You could observe many animals (many different birds, monitor lizards and monkeys). A crocodile also lives in the river. 🐊

Had a wonderful tour on two boats, very knowledgeable guides. Pointed out heaps of birds, mammals, plants and fish. Lovely trip up the river too. Jungle is fantastic further up the river you go. 100% recommend

Very good views and a good chance to see rare animals along the river. There is almost no other boat traffic on the river. Guide is very knowledgeable but sometimes hard to understand. Some stars lost because I don't know what's eco-friendly about a petrol engine and pulling off lily flowers. Plus for the fact he did not 'have any change', while the trip was already very expensive.

My wife and I enjoyed a marvellous trip, enhanced further by the knowledgeable and experienced guide, Krishan, whose personal love of nature is very obvious. He arranged collection and return to the hotel via tuk-tuk and refreshments after the trip. The absence of large commercial tour groups is reflected in the rich diversity of life on this stretch of the river. Very highly recommended.

Very good time spent on the boat with Umara who took the time to show us many animals that inhabit the mangrove. Finally we were welcomed with a coconut to enjoy on our return.

As someone who has done a lot of kayaking, this was still a very unique experience in the amount of various bird species we saw. Krishan was a great guide and overall an amazing experience!

It was a wonderful trip with many exciting animals. The guide was great and knew a lot and had a lot to show. He has a great eye and spotted every animal. You have to get involved and just enjoy it.

As someone who is afraid of the water and doesn't know to swim, I was quite daring when I called up Eco friendly river safari for a canoeing appointment. But Krishan was super friendly and took me through the process. I initially booked a sunset ride around 5 pm but had to change it to a sunrise one the following day at 6 am, due to the rains. They were super accomodating and ensured my safety throughout the experience. They take personal efforts to keep the river clean and their knowledge of the birds and animals around is truly impressive! I totally recommend this experience cos I would do it again myself!

The river safari was a great experience, can only be recommended! Very nicely run and we saw lots of monkeys, monitor lizards, birds and flying foxes!

Krishan is very knowledgeable and we had a great and relaxed trip up the river. He has a very keen eye for birds and we saw many including the startling white tail streamers of the paradise fly catcher as well as purple faced langurs. Well worth the trip and only 5 minutes walk from the Jetwing Lighthouse.

Good location between Galle and Hikkaduwa, along the way there are many birds, monitor lizards, beautiful views.

A beautiful morning spent cruising down the river spotting all the amazing wildlife. Krishan is such a wonderful guide & so knowledgable about all the local wildlife, flora & fauna. Highly recommend this authentic experience.

Excellent trip through the mangrove with Umara, who knows the fauna and flora perfectly. We stopped as many times as necessary to admire the landscapes and animals around us. As we got on the boat, we were offered fresh water and on the way back we were able to enjoy freshly opened coconut water in front of us. Thank you again for this beautiful moment!

We were four people who went for Kayaking and these guys were very professional and helpful. We were scared of doing it still they came with us in motor boat to give support. Very comfortable and reasonably priced. Highly recommended

great experience with a great guide. A very knowledgeable and friendly guide escorted my girlfriend and I on two hour boat tour along the river. A wealth of wildlife: birds, monkeys , reptiles: were identified and seen at close quarters. - The boat was comfortable and had a removable awning in case of rain or direct sunlight. The views are remarkable and I can not recommend this highly enough. The friendliness of the guide conductor who after the trip offered a tuk tuk ride was just an amazing person. Thank-you a million.

It was the perfect river safari! There were 2 of us. We have panorama view and boat without roof. Our guide know every kind of bird, tree, flower. He said many interesting information. We see many birds. That man drive the boat slow near birds, so we can see their so good. We smelled the leaves of cinnamon, try fruit and in the end our guide made handmade present for us. We liked it so much! I advise go to this place, because narrow river more beautiful!
