They turned nature into a money making machine.. you pay approx 8€ pP for a 10-15 minute tour with a group of ca 70 people. The tour is in Italian and English (so while the guide speaks Italian you just wait and can’t even see anything because of the crowd) I just wanted to see a cave in its natural state, instead I saw anything that shouldn’t belong there: light installations, metal doors, cables, and yes even a bin.. the hypocrisy of them wanting to “preserve nature” is real. Really really sad for someone who has standards.

Unfortunately the cave was closed due to "technical issues" (a rockfall). We were told it had already been closed for a month and is likely to be for at least another two weeks. The website should be updated to explain this as lots of people were turning up. We had googled it and made a special trip to visit so were disappointed. The swimming pool was empty of water too so the only thing to do was go in one of the cafes.

Beautiful place! We went there at the end of May therefore the area was not as crowded as it is bound to be in July and August. We had to go down a long flight of steps to reach the entrance of the cave. The view was breath taking and the water colour memorable. Once we reached the big cave, we had to walk a bit further to enter the small cave and see the beautiful natural pool inside. Highly recommended but if get a chance, go there in May/early June or September, avoiding the high season as there might be a queue to get down to the cave.

Great experience. And our guide was even kind enough to talk in English too. Such a beautiful spot by the water too. Don’t bother paying to go to the pool. You can swim off the ocean here by the caves.

A beautiful experience, the guided tour didn't have an English option but all the information was in the brochure so there was no problem. The grotto was wonderful, this really is a lovely way to spend half an hour, very atmospheric and giving a very real connection to the history of our species in this plant.

The place is amazing. The queue maybe is not that worthit since the explanations are going to be in italian, if you don't understand. We lined for more than 1h and the cave is beautiful, but not sure if it is worthit, part of the way is closed. If you are short of time, don't pay to visit the cave, just swim to the cave and see it from outside. You will save some money.

One of the best spots for nature adventure! This natural cave is the outcome of centuries of water sculpture, deposition of calcium carbonate makes this incredible view of stalactites and stalagmites. Ticket is 8€.

We visited this beautiful cave on the sea after the middle of October. It was very quiet the guide was great and the cave is very very pretty. The whole visit requires a ticket for 6€ which includes a guide speaking Italian or English. The entire visit takes about 30/40 minutes and in my opinion is doable for all ages.

Unique experience visiting this grotta. The visits are guided which makes it very interesting . Highly recommended. A bit dark and slippery but still pretty easy walk inside.

It's intersting, however we had to wait some time and the visit was in a very big group. The explanations are interesting, but without them it would not be great. Nice but no must-do.

Amazing place. Carpark nearby or you you can park on top of the street and take very long steps down (and up after visit). Entry to cavern is almost on sea level and path going on side of the cliff. Very special experience.

Surprisingly awesome grotto with an amazing history and incredible natural beauty. A wonderful guide who spoke in both Italian and English - she was fabulous! A small tip at the end was greatly appreciated and very well deserved. Great value for money - particularly if you can join a small group, as we were lucky enough to do. Highly recommend!

It's simply an amazing place, not only the cave but all this part of coast. The cave is incredible, stalactites and stalagmites are an actual spectacle of the nature. I suggest to book the boat tour starting from Marina di Castro to see also the other caves on the surrounding

L unica nota positiva é il bar all' ingresso. I bagni che sono ancora praticabili. Possibile portare i cani.
