B&B: it is excellently located near the Duomo of Gallipoli. The property is a 1600 building with loads of oroginal features such as wall and celing affrescoes and epoch doors, etc. The furniture also mirrors the antique charm. The room we were given was veey spacious with a Baldacchino bed. The bathroom was big and airy too. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also satisfactory. The only negative things I can say are, the water in the shower didn't have much pressure. Secondly and this is not strictly tied to this property only but to all properties within the fortified walls (historical centre) no cars can go in. So if you are going by car you have to park at the marina car park and costs eur1,50/hr. Then you have to walk almost a km with going up a long flight of steps or uphill road to get inside the city. This have made me give a star less. Parking situattion should be clear on booking website. Restaurant: The B&B palazzo type property, also houses a restaurant run by the same family. The food is very exquisite with a number of local dishes. The service is great so proces are very reasonable. I highly recommend to lunch and/or dine at this restaurant even if you are not a guest oft he B&B.

We received a warm welcome from the family proprietors on arrival and the house is really charming. It has lots of original, historical features. There is a decent restaurant on the ground floor that has a wide-ranging menu, with tasty pasta and fish dishes. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection to choose from. This is a great value B & B in a perfect location in the old town. The owners were very attentive and willing to go the extra mile. I would have no hesitation in recommending the place to others.

The food is not bad but really nothing special for the price. Service was really at a minimum level. For now, it was the worst experience we had in el salento.

The owner and the staffs were friendly, the included breakfast was well done, but the room that we were in on the top floor felt kinda ghetto due to bad lighting at night time.

The most reasonably priced restaurant in the Old City after much searching. While the service was good, the food was average to good.

Really, really unique place to stay. Roof top terrace, everything very antique, super high ceilings, nice breakfast. Next to the cathedral so you hear the bells frequently quite loud. Very much recommended!

Fantastic location. The staff is friedly and goes the extra mile to support anyone. Please remember that you cannot drive into the historic centre, but the staff will arrange for an Ape to move your luggage. The parking is at less than 10 mins walk.

Popped in for a casual lunch and the food was really good - ate the local pasta and caprice salad - all home made and very tasty - they have their own home produced olive oil on the table infused with lemon or Orange - dip some bread into it so yummy! Definitely recommend - thank you - also waiter speaks good english!!!!

Slow service and uneatable food. Overcooked pasta and bitter/harsh sauce with pasta vongole. Tomato sauce tasted like ketchup. Scampi overcooked and completely dry. We almost didn’t touch our plates and when I told the staff about the overcooked pasta and the harsh sauce, they didn’t even offer a discount.

If you are doing Italy on a budget, this place was fantastic! The manager was very accommodating when our group needed to switch rooms and everything as very clean. The building was very old and beautiful.

Very nice place to stay! It is an old palace and the atmosphere is great just like our hosts! The restaurant and breakfast were great and I would definitely recommend this place for a stay! I would definitely want to come back!

👍 Abbiamo soggiornato un paio di anni fa.Effettivamente è difficoltoso trovare il luogo a causa di una stradina sterrata molto disagevole e il GPS ci ha fatto girare per localizzare il Trappeto.
