Such a wonderful little eco friendly shop. I just happened to stumble upon it while walking the streets the other day and I will most definitely be going back. Such a great concept and the owner was super delightful as well! 10/10 recommend giving it a try :)

It was lovely to drop into The Filling Station again recently. I haven't been in Galway City Centre all summer so I had to stock up on a few items. There is always a friendly welcome when visiting, and time for a chat. I picked up my usual favourites, delicious cranberries, orzo (for school lunch salads), really nice demerara sugar and then upstairs for washing up liquid and hand soap. I always go for the Sonnet Rosemary hand soap. Really nice fragrance. When I came down to pay, Frank, the Sonnet sales person had just arrived, and we had more chat about his quality products. Its great to meet someone who is so enthusiastic about the products they are promoting.

Located right in the heart of town, this shop is a fantastic showcase for how you can practically go plastic free. I was particularly delighted because I found my favourite bar shampoo (Irish brand Three Hills) upstairs, where household cleaning products & personal care items are stocked. It's worth calling in just to have a browse of the beauty section upstairs. As for the food items downstairs, I was very impressed by the range of goods, and the ease of service - they had even laid on small fabric bags to allow customers who'd forgotten their own bring bags to load up on beans, say. It's a fantastic concept - I hope it takes off!

Lovely shop with a very very wide range of products. Looking for anything zero waste, you name it, they’ve got it. Take your own containers and fill them up. Don’t forget to check the upstairs area :)

Such a wonderful shop and a great shopping experience. Its hard to find environmentally friendly options in most shops but in here there's absolutely everything you need. The refills are particularly great and of great quality, I love the shampoos and conditioners. So happy this place exists, it's like a gift from the eco gods 😂

What a fantastic shop. Just bring in your empty containers and refill them with anything you need for your home, from rice and spices to laundry liquid and soaps, to name but a few. There are also some very useful, eco friendly and reusable personal products, such as reusable cotton buds, make up remover pads and wipes/liners etc. All products are eco friendly. Because I shop here on a regular basis, my bins are way less full than they used to be, thus saving money on my bin charges. A trip in to this shop helps you reconsider your lifestyle choices, all making for a more environmentally mentally friendly home.

Brilliant shop. Like a lot of people, I am trying to live more sustainably, but on a student budget, this can be quite challenging. The concept of refilling old recycled containers (which they also provide for free if you forget your own) removes the expensive price barriers that often belies sustainable shopping. Genius! You can find everything from spices to laundry detergent, local honey to shampoo. They also offer 20% to students on Thursdays!

Organic and recyclable stuff at one place. Could find spices, pulses, oils, soaps, shampoos, chocolates, bamboo products, etc!

I was at The Filling Station earlier this year and, as a nomad, keep looking for something like it everywhere I go. It has so many things that are great for your body, the environment, and for smooth and environmentally smart travel. They also have a great variety of items. I highly recommend!
