A very good place to visit. Do not miss on that one. Air is pure and trees mask traffic noise and you may find rabbits wild turkey and deers all over the place all year long

The beach area is clean. The water was warm and swimmable and limit was set at 1.6 meters so all of my 4 children were able to enjoy and play in the water. Sand beach so they had fun building their castles and whatever they want. Washrooms were very well maintained and super clean and there were also changing rooms. Lifeguards available. Paid parking. There is also a play structure and a cafeteria. We enjoyed our beach day!

Not too many people. Nice area to picnic and has a playground for kids. Dog friendly as well. Great area to bike, hike and swimming with a lovely beach in the summer. Clean change room and washrooms. Gorgeous around the autumn, as you can see the beautiful trees changing colour. Very close from the Ottawa area. Can bike to parliament hill, 6.3 km.

nice beach along the lake. trail is also very well connected with parliament and other places. best time to visit sunset and sunrise. I went on Wednesday afternoon and parking was 50% full so it's busy. highway close so noisy but quiet near washrooms. route marked for ppl for canoeing and other water activities. don't use all trail for directions not accurate. use Google maps

Such a calm and relaxing place to visit, bike, walk, run. It is well maintained with a lot of green areas, the lake and river are right next to it. You can also do paddle or swim in designated areas. The ambiance is very nice to just relax and disconnect for a while

It was a nice time to hang with friends here. Nice views and sand was alright. It’s nice that there was a bike path nearby as well. Water was not the greatest, but overall a nice beach. 🏝️

A very nice park, full of cute wildlife. Amazing nature, so peaceful and quiet, a perfect space for relaxation and meditation. The trails are very well maintained, clean and beautiful. The lake is very clean too, perfect for swimming or kayaking. There is a shelter, playground and facilities. The area is great for a family picnic and very relaxing

A wonderful place to swim! Really lovely accessible beach that caters to all kinds of beach goers. Amazing that it is so centrally located too. Generally, the police and NCC have been keeping motorized craft out of the lake but sometimes they slip through and you need to swim with a dry bag/something visible if you go beyond the roped in area.

A unique inner city beach experience which, until COVID was unusually quite, clean and family oriented. Naturally, because of the pandemic growing crowds have slightly run things down.

Great place to enjoy bbq and picnics! There are multiple trails to enjoy. The water is not that clean but people do swim and enjoy!

  • 4/5 Ingrid D. 1 year ago on Google
Nice picnic with family. Too many bees at the picnic table, and some rowdy older kids on the playground I was worried would knock down my 3 year old niece without thinking. Otherwise a nice place. There is a beach. The water was warm, and the changing rooms/bathrooms are more clean than you'd expect from an park bathroom. At least the ladies bathroom is. I can't speak for the men's bathroom.

  • 5/5 Andriy L. 10 months ago on Google
Oh what a beautiful place. Careful where you park since some parking lots are free and some not. You can rent kayaks, paddle board, good breakfast on spot and shade from the hot sun.

If you're looking for a great place to see the full moon in Ottawa, the hills around the lake at the city's largest park offer an excellent view. It's recommended to stay there to witness the magical moment when the full moon rises from the west over the lake. Additionally, the park's trail around the lake and its beach are enjoyable features worth exploring.

Decent in city lake. We are very lucky to have this little lake so accessible. Beach is very narrow. Perfect for kayak/SUP or Open water swimming. Available parking from both sides of lake.

There is a playground, beach (with lifeguard), large, clean restrooms, volleyball courts, picnic areas, walking/cycling paths, and parking. There is a parking fee but it is not too expensive. Great for family activities. The lake is a popular location for paddle boarding.

Lake Leamy Park is a good place to enjoy outdoor with family and friends. It has a beautiful big pond with bike path around the pond. There is also beach area for swimming, many tables for picnic and BBQ. There is a giant parking but you need to pay $9 for the day.

Very nice and clean area. Lots of tree to gave shade. Perfect for hot day. Have picnic benches and structure too. Life guard on duty. Beautiful place . Clean water . Visited twice in a week. Not far away from Ottawa just 40 mins drive. Lots of parking. Bring your boat canoe and life jacket to have a ride along with a beach day.

It's a perfect place to relax and ride around. The long stretch around this lake is perfect for biking or electric longboarding. I did have a fairly nasty fall do to not paying attention to a gravel spot in the middle of a forked path, but the lifeguards at the area were very quick to patch me up. Upon arriving at the beach, there is a beautiful open field with plenty of benches to sit. overall, a beautiful place.
