Housekeeping fails every time. Dirty bath, floors not mopped nor swept. Items from previous vacationers left all over. Front desk is inconsistent with courteous clerks as much as careless and rude looking young ladies with no smiles. If you still worry about sanitation and cleanliness it will be a disappointment. We have been there 6 or 7 times in 3 years and it's declining very fast. Pay for the extra at Hilton Casino and you'll be sure not to be treated as a cheapskate. We paid 576.00$ for a two night stay in one of their biggest rooms. Never again. So sorry Ramada Plaza, we liked it the first time but you took us for granted.

Unfriendly staff. On arrival I was placed on a geriatric floor, 2nd. I didn't know there was such a thing at hotels. The floor was dark, dingy, and it smelt bad. Great place for horror or thriller movie. When I returned to the front desk to complain, she claimed that I booked that room and laughed. I stated, that was not the picture advertised. I was then placed in the room advertised on the 3rd floor. It was much better but awful and scary experience. I will never go back!

For sure, one of the worst hotels I have ever been at. Safety hazards, very unprofessional staff, and location is not premium as well. We needed extra blanket as when it was sleep time we found out, the sofa bed didn't have any blanket or pillow. The person working at night said I am alone and I can't do that. When insisted that you are supposed to provide the basic service when someone pays for a room and how are we supposed to sleep without pillow/blanket, he started saying crazy things like "Why are you shouting at me" (no one was shouting), "I am afraid" (Why? Because a guest is asking you for basic accommodation). Then he said remind me in half an our which we did and he said he will bring the blanket and pillows but he never showed up or sent anyone. Others were also lacking basic professionalism. They simply said "Sorry" when they didn't provide basic requests. Like milk carton was empty at breakfast, and when asked for it, they simply said "Sorry" we don't have any left. Really? No milk at breakfast for cereal or for kids at 8:30 am? It was so weird. Like they were working because they had to and had no interest to do anything even their basic duties. The entire place had a very lazy vibe. In another incident, me and my wife were walking in the hallway and the cleaning crew was running in the hallway with an extremely big bin containing towels and stuff, and he didn't slow down or change direction and straight came toward us. If we didn't jump to another side at the last second, it would have hit us and seriously injured us. Another example would be their elevators which is lacking "SENSORS". Yes, you heard it right. It closes on you, even if your hand or body is between the door. Simply crazy. Awful, awful hotel. The only ok thing was the room itself. But I highly recommend to avoid this place at all cost.

During our stay at this hotel, we unfortunately experienced a series of highly negative incidents, which I would like to outline below: Elevator Incident: One of the elevators was out of service, leaving only one operational. Regrettably, this remaining elevator presented a serious safety hazard. As I entered, the doors abruptly closed, posing a risk of trapping my hand. The elevator continued its motion, forcefully pushing me until I had to quickly jump out, with the doors showing no signs of pausing to prevent a potential accident. Insufficient Blankets: Our room lacked an adequate number of blankets. Each time I requested an additional blanket from the reception, the staff responded rudely, explaining that they were the sole employee on duty and therefore unable to fulfill the request. Breakfast Shortcomings: Despite being charged for breakfast, our experience was far from satisfactory. When we attempted to have a glass of milk, we discovered that only two milk bags were available, both of which were empty. Upon bringing this matter to the attention of the hotel, we were informed that they had unexpectedly run out of milk due to an underestimated guest count. However, it's worth noting that there were fewer than 20 guests present in the restaurant. Overall, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, characterized by unsafe conditions, unhelpful staff, and inadequate amenities.

First time I write a review, usualy never do but this Hotel is the wrost I've ever seen. Got some of my stuff stolen while I was away by the room service because of a problem in their system. Customer service did not help and blamed me for this....they even sent other customers in my room 3 hours after I made them aware of the problem. AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Overall this was a decent place to stay. Slamming doors from adjacent rooms can be a distrubance until people settle down after midnight. Front desk staff were excellent. The hotel is only a 50-min walk to the Byward Market, which is actually quite enjoyable.

Our room was nice and the staff were doing their best but this hotel is over-run by anti-mandate protesters who are rudely and disrespectfully not wearing masks in the public spaces and not properly social distancing. This is still a pandemic and this hotel is not a safe space for anyone who might be vulnerable to COVID-19. The hotel owners are profiting off the protests and not doing anything to make the space safer.

the rooms aren’t clean and in need of some new furniture cause they seem used and abused. some renovation on certain walls are needed nothing major just some little holes where something once was.The hallway seems like the hallway of depression not sufficient lighting and a awful carpet. One great thing about that hotel is that your 3 minutes from casino( maybe not so great for some ;-).

2 incidents happened during our stay at the hotel: 1) When we returned back to hotel around midnight, we found our room door was not shut. The hinged lock bar was left in a position that the door was blocked to shut. Luckily, nothing is missing from the room. Next day, I discussed this issue with front desk, who showed no sign of taking ownership of the issue. I asked for someone whom I could talk to. It was unfortunate that the work hours of the manager/supervisor did not work with my travel schedule. So, I ended up writing a note and left it with front desk. I saw a phone call from the hotel calling back but I missed the call. However, no voice message or further follow up from the hotel. We left the hotel yesterday. 2) We came home late and found the beds were made. But, the towels were not exchanged; one set of towels went missing; shampoo and conditioner (sample size) were not replenished. So, it seems cleanup service came but did not do a complete job. In summary, for a family travel, this hotel has good location, free parking, and good price. However, do not rely on cleaning service, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, towels, etc. I will not go back to this hotel again.

Check in is 4 and upon arrival the lobby was filled with guests waiting for there rooms. It took 1.5 hrs to get our room which is unacceptable as we kept getting told it would be 15mins. They were writing names on a list like a first come first serve yet our name was forgotten and when we kept asking we were told rudely 15mins. We had dinner reservations so I actually had to start getting ready in the lobby. Very disappointed with our stay and will not be returning.

The staff are wonderful but the reservation system they have is poor and they lost our reservation twice and then tried to charge us extra for various things that they did not say in the booking. Overall I cannot recommend staying here due to how disorganized the booking, checkin and check out are.

We booked a room for two days to attend an event that took place in the Casino du Lac-Leamy over the weekend. We were billed 200$ plus taxes and fees per night, which included a room equiped with a king-sized bed, a Nespresso coffee maker with a few pods, a television, two leather recliners, a nice electrical fireplace and AC. There were ceramic in the bathroom and wooden floating floor for the rest. The hotel was advertised as across the road from the Casino, but it is two intersections away, about a 20 minutes walk. At least, parking was readily available at both places. The room was clean but the air was a bit too hot and dry on arrival, which made it hard to breathe at first so we had to turn off the heater and put on AC. One door of the closet was half-stuck, which made it hard to fit our coats inside with the iron and ironing board blocking the way. The bathroom was clean on arrival, however, not all our used towels were restocked for the second day and the toilet wasn't properly cleaned. The bath doesn't have a hand-held showerhead and the whirlpool feature was not working. The mattress was to our liking but the sheets were rough and the bed frame squeaked. Our room was on the third floor, near an elevator and a staircase. There was a lot of noise during the evening on our floor and it continued through the night, making it hard to sleep soundly. The staff were informed of that and came once, but the noise came back louder not long after. We were asked for "breakfast coupons" after we seated with our meal in the morning. The waitress informed us that we could procure them at the reception for 12$, or pay at the table for 14.50$. Considering our previous experiences with similar hotels, we were surprised that breakfast wasn't included. If we had known before, we would've gone to a local breakfast restaurant. Overall, we were a bit dissatisfied with our stay.

Renos definitely needed, as my mattress had no protection and not pretty to see. No hot tub, and pool was cold and questionable. Booked with Wyndham made to look like you're getting breakfast free but they charge $12.00 and even I had to buy my own coffee for $2.50. Very unacceptable. But it was close to the casino which was fun.

The room was pretty good, nice bed and great size. We went to the restaurant for dinner and the waitress didn't refill our water glasses, even though there was only another person in the restaurant at the same time. Also, we were 3 people and for 2 people the food came early while the 3rd one, came 15-20 min. after, which wasn't a good experience for the whole group. In addition, the name Casino at the end of the hotel is kind of misleading, since I thought that there was some casino within the hotel.

Nice hotel. The beds are a little soft but in spite of this fact, my wife and I slept well. The $12 breakfast is a little basic but it is a good deal. There a few hot items and they will make you eggs according to your preference. The staff are friendly and professional. They have free WiFi.

One of the more unique rooms we have stayed in, was unaware and shocked over the staircase leading to another room. Our room itself was spacious and clean. Pillows are too soft for my liking

Decent enough place, great price through Expedia. Room was a decent size, beds comfortable enough. Location was convenient to most sites in Ottawa and the area. Lots of food and stores nearby. Tiny pool, hot tub closed. And the fact that they charge for the breakfast they serve, they should be ashamed asking for money for that. Next time we're in Ottawa area, we'll probably look for a different place. Didn't hate it, giving it 4/5 but there just wasn't much reason to return.

Decent room. One bed was broken but did okay for a night. No microwave in the room, Bistro is superb, and the food was delicious. Portions were sufficient. The location is perfect for casino - walking distance.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel I'm still here right now. On both nights they had construction going on in the room next to us. Banging starts at 8 am to wake you up, and even when you call to complain they ignore you and allow it to happen. I am literally laying in the bed right now awake even though I got back very late and need My sleep before my long drive home. I am so annoyed and upset with this hotel i will never spend another night at a ramada hotel as long as I travel and I travel a lot. So disappointed ...

Upon entering the room, we checked the beds to see that they weren't changed. A/C was broken. When wanting to change the room, they refused at first and wanted to check the proof. We arrived at 6pm, left the AC on and we came back to a hot room. We took photos of the dirty bed, broken mirror, etc. Awful service from the front desk. Long wait to change room after a long fuss with them. For 576$ for two nights is a rip off. Spend your money elsewhere.

Racist behavior by the management and front desk. Told me and my child that the Ramada routinely does room inspections before allowing check out. I've stayed at countless five star hotels and never encountered this, so I was surprised. I found out the next morning that it was a lie. The Caucasian Quebecois that were staying there on tours were not subjected to this "absolute Ramada policy."

The downside of the hotel was cleaning services. The handle next to jacuzzi had hair stick on it. The facial tissue had 3 pieces left. Otherwise it was OK. The bed wasn't too hard neither too soft. The lazy chair was best. There's ironing board, iron, safety deposit box, cold fridge but no slippers. The jacuzzi works well.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Nothing worked. Ice Machine on our floor was missing, drink vending machines were empty. Pool was disguting and full of scum and dirt. Hot tub was broken. Restaurant was only open for a few hours in the morning and evening so no lunch. Restaraunt was over priced and the food was bad unless you like indian food. No lounge, no gift shop. I heard a guest ask at the front desk if there was any place to get a bottle of water and was simply told no. Thy hav no concierge or information amenities close by. Our room floor was dirty and sticky, the view in our room was of a litter filled hill and the freeway. The staff was uncommunicative and barely spoke english, and never smiled. We asked for extra pillows and was told no, untll my wife who is in a wheelchair argued the need for them. The bathroom doorknob in our friends room literaly came out of the door the first time they used. Avoid this place at all costs.

The staff respond fast to any request. Rooms are kept well. Not much of a view but good location. Gym is decent, pool is small but nice, dry sauna is a nice addition. Breakfast is $12 for all you can eat toast, scrambled (or you can order), sausage and soft pork are so so, French toast is yum, taters and beans are OK.

We stayed for 2 nights and gotta be honest here, it just wasn't that great for the price we paid we expected much better. We would not stay here again. Staff is nice but super slow in getting you what you need. The rooms are mediocre. The beds were ok but not very comfortable. The ac is put in the wrong place above the bed and I'm pretty sure i caught a cold from it being in that position, it wasnt working properly. No microwave but a small working fridge. Staff didn't refill our coffee pods, there were 2 used ones sitting in the placement for them. The bathroom light didn't turn on the next day. The pool we were hoping to really enjoy but due it being so small and a bit dark, we just swam for the kids. The sauna was decent and the gym as well. Overall I don't know how it's rated so high as not a hotel we'd ever pay so much for in the future.

the room was filthy dirty and no one bother cleaning up. we found previous left over feminine hygiene items and a pair of pants from previous god knows when. (we accidentally kicked out both items from underneath the beds. the 2nd night they took all the towel sets away n left us with 1 bath towel....FOR FOUR PEOPLE. what, they expect us to be that environmentally friendly to have all 4 ppl share ONE TOWEL?!! that's not what bugged me the most, when we came back fro outside, our room door was NOT CLOSED PROPERLY and anyone could've just open the doors!!! one of our members didn't have a key and just pushed the door open. place is also super run down for the price u pay, i dunno what we're really paying for.....

We had a great stay at this place. The owner of the hotel was very supportive. The AC in our room was not working properly. We went to the reception to complaint about it and the owner over heard us and he asked his staff to give us a new room which was actually a 2-level suit. It turned out to be the best stay during our trip. Thanks to the owner and entire staff.

Hey Ramada! #dobetter I'm STILL WAITING for my refund. I've called multiple times and Nassim (director / assistant supervisor) has not returned ANY of my calls. We booked our one-and-only family trip of the year through Expedia on Jul. 12 only to discover that on our arrival date (Aug. 4) we were told that you DID NOT have a suite for us. The first receptionist didn't even motion to find us an alternate room only until it was escalated to your acting supervisor that evening, Marieve. Marieve had explained that there was an "explosion" in our room which is why it wasn't available anymore. There was NO call beforehand to warn me, no initial offer to put me in another room as a result. Then, looking in the computer, she found me two rooms and would offer that I wouldn't be charged for the extra room. How'd that happen when the first receptionist told me there weren't any rooms available? Umm...I was travelling with my wife and four kids and those rooms weren't even conjoined. We had no choice to concede with one room. When we got to the room, it was hot and humid. The air conditioner didn't seem to work as a piece of metal that would lock the remote was unhinged from the wall. When I called the front desk to ask about the non-functional air conditioner, I was told by the technician that the hotel regulates a standard setting and it couldn't be adjusted. It was colder in the hallways than in this room! Given that this was going to be our only family trip for the year, I couldn't bare to go on with this situation and stay in this hotel. We left and checked out early Saturday morning with the promise from Marieve that our security deposit would be refunded (within 3 to 5 business days). I even called you, Nassim, twice that afternoon to ensure we were going to be refunded. The ladies at the front desk didn't even motion to give me a receipt because they told me to talk to you. We were supposed to be there until Aug. 7. Going from no rooms for us and no willingness beforehand to accommodate a room that wasn't available, this hotel STILL charged us the FULL amount and has NOT been refunded. I'm still fighting this until I get my FULL REFUND. If your expectation is a run-down hostel, dingy and air conditioners not working, it's perfect for you. Definitely NOT for us and never coming back to a Ramada again.

This hotel is very overpriced for what you get, and they will overcharge you. The rooms are shabby. Jetted tub did not work, the beds not very comfy. The pool looked nice in the pictures, but is very small, and shallow - only 109 cm (3.5 feet) deep like a large tub. We had already decided to never go here again... then the price changed - TWICE. We were told one price when we booked, a higher price when we checked out, then found out our card had been charged an even higher price than the second price. When we called to inquire we were told that there was nothing they could do - we should not have been quoted a lower price and we were given the wrong receipt, and we should have noticed. The entire experience was questionable...

I was pleasantly surprised our room was a nice size with a fire place that was on when we arrived, coffee maker and whirlpool bath! I also got the CAA discount and found the ladies at the front desk very pleasant and friendly. Despite the fact we don't speak French they were happy to speak English with no attitude. We will be back.

Always a pleasure. Great service, Clean and the bed is very comfortable. Our #1 hotel when I have to go to Ottawa, Gatineau and Montreal.

The price was reasonable for a room and the rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds and pillows. I was taken aback when I came to my room after 4pm on the 2nd day and it was not cleaned. When I called the front desk I was told that the rooms are cleaned every 3 days. How is that possible if a person stays for 1 night? The rating I am giving is based on the service. Could have been a 4 or 5 star if the service was better.

There are couple of issues that disturbed us. 1. The receptionist was very rude and very difficult to whilst trying to get our room charges corrected. My wife spoke with her first and she basically dismissed her twice. I later went and confronted her and she tried the same approach with me. I took a stronger position and she got upset that I was raising my voice and she didn't appreciate it. I told her that I was sorry, but I didn't appreciate her attitude to resolving my problem. She finally started to make a more concerted effort to finding the problem. She told me that Booking.com had not informed the hotel of the correct pricing. She said the pricing she had was 2 nights at a higher price and 1 night at a discounted price (the correct lower quoted price) based on having the 2 previous nights. So then she said she would correct the overall pricing to match what I was quoted by Booking.com. There is much more to the interactions with this person that I won't go into, but we ended our discussion on a more cordial note and at check out all was correct as quoted. But I still don't believe the mistake was with Booking.com. 2. We didn't read a notice left on the lamp table and didn't realize how the towels and room service were conducted. Didn't realize no one would come into our room to clean, make beds, replenish towels, or replenish coffee supplies. Definitely our fault, but that could have been easily avoided if the reception had made it 'very clear' that we needed to read the instructions left in the room. I have travelled extensively in my past and I normally don't read much of anything left in the room for guests because it's usually not very pertinent to my stay. In short, a simple misunderstanding that could have been easily avoided if someone had just made a quick comment to us at check in. We were told it happens all the time and not to worry about bothering anybody for towels and coffee. Other than that, the hotel was clean throughout, our room was excellent, and we would definitely stay there again. Kind regards.

Free Wi-Fi and parking. Conveniently located next to SuperC, good for long-stay travellers. The interior design and room style are pretty old, not modern. The room was big enough, but not too bright. The bathroom is spacious with whirlpool bath tub (the kids loved it). We booked via Hotwire, so we had to pay for breakfast (10$ for adult, 5$ for children). The pool was relatively small compared to the hotel size, but we came in the morning and had the pool just for ourself. The showering and changing room is next to the pool, including sauna. Overall, our family had a great experience!

At reception for my reservations, I did not get the 3 next to each other rooms that I had requested on Aug 5th for Sept 4&5th for a 60th anniversary celebration. I had called that morning to confirm was told everything was O.K. Raised my concerns and receptionist was rude, nothing she could do nothing, fully booked. When I got a baggage trolly to bring up the baggage the elevator was out of service. Asked the other receptionist if there was another elevator was told entrance “C” no elevator, back to desk was told entrance “B” no elevator, feeling really upset, went to the 1sth floor asked a cleaning lady she said entrance “A”. At entrance “A” you have to go through a set of doors, down a set of stairs, in an area the size of a phone booth, maneuver a trolly through another set of doors to the elevator. This hotel has one small operating elevator located in a basement, accessible only from the outside to service all the hotel, no easy task for struggling old folks with baggage and people with walkers or wheelchairs. A real fire hazard. Whoever designed this hotel should go back to architect school. It’s built like a cruise ship with access from outside, good thing it was not raining. When I got there all 3 rooms had no sofa bed, no bathrobes as I had requested. Called to speak to the supervisor, was told not to rely on confirmation e-mails as sometimes the info and pictures sent where not actual of what I had requested, that I should have paid more attention in other words my fault, I asked how did she expect three adults to sleep in one bed. I insisted that the 2 rooms 302 and 303 have each a rollaway bed, she said she could get one but had no other, I insisted and 2 was sent up. Of course there was not enough towels for three adults! To top it all when I checked out I got billed three different bills for same rooms. The supervisor had said she was grating us free breakfast for my troubles but when you add up all the bills I’m paying more than my confirmed reservation so nothing is free. Thank God for the restaurant at the Hilton and the good folks at the Casino to save some of the weekend. For anyone going to the Casino better to pay a bit more and book at the Hilton and in the near future the new Holliday Inn next door. Sent to Wyndham 7 Sept 2021

Front desk not very friendly. Also my wife accidentally left her new leather coat hanging the wardrobe. We called them about 5hrs after checkout and well before their check in time They said they were not responsible for items left in room. We asked if they could check with cleaning crew or check if it was put in lost and found. She said she would check but never called us back. Which leads us to believe that one of the employees is walking around with her 1100.dollar jacket on. Even though the room we had was nice. We won't be staying there again.

Slow service at reception on a busy day. No proper management on quietness of public areas like corridors. Lots of annoying and loud noises by other guests who were using the public corridor in first floor as a playground for their kids, talking very loud, kids crying. I will never come to this hotel again and do not recommend it to any one.

Guy working on February 11th at 2:58 am was sleeping behind the counter snoring. Tried yelling to wake him up, he didn’t for 5 minutes until we yelled louder. Was about to pay after finally getting rooms sorted then he randomly changed the price, then he said no beds were available. Didn’t have a name tag, very rude and have tons of attitude. Never want to go back. wish i could give 0 star.

My father had prepaid for a lovely room for my wife and I to stay in for a getaway but they had overbooked the hotel and we along with many others stood around waiting for over an hour - being given responses like “your room isn’t cleaned yet” and “the system is down.” We ended up leaving and filing a complaint/refund request. Only prepay/reserve here if you don’t mind not getting a room and waiting around without any meaningful answers (they said it would be 15 minutes until we were in our room). Hopefully this review will help the hotel stay underbooked so they can honour their reservations in the future.

Don't book rooms for your wedding party here; it's not worth it. Not only will they not give your bride the wedding suite they paid for in advance (and not have an answer for why it's not ready oh but it'll be ready when you've already moved into another suit), but also their outlets barely worked and the swimming pool only seats ten people, if they're standing still. No breakfast included, but there's continental, which is 10 dollars for adults and "maybe" five dollars for kids so who know what that means. The beds are comfortable but it's better to find another hotel for good pr management and if you want anything clear cut.

Disappointing Stay at an Old and Neglected Hotel Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at an old hotel in dire need of renovations. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this establishment had seen better days. I feel compelled to share my honest feedback to warn others, as my stay was marked by constant noise, a lack of attentive staff, and subpar services. Let's start with the physical condition of the hotel. The building itself appeared worn-out and neglected. The rooms showed significant signs of age, with peeling wallpaper, faded carpets, and outdated furniture. It was evident that a renovation was long overdue, as the overall atmosphere was far from welcoming. The noise levels within the hotel were truly unbearable. Thin walls and insufficient soundproofing meant that every footstep, conversation, and door slam echoed throughout the premises. Sleep became a luxury, as I was constantly disturbed by the commotion both during the day and at night. If you value peace and tranquility during your stay, I strongly advise against choosing this hotel. Overall, I must emphasize that this hotel does not meet the expectations of a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The outdated facilities, persistent noise disturbances, and insufficient staffing all contribute to a disappointing experience. If given the choice, I strongly urge prospective guests to explore other accommodation options in the area. It is my sincere hope that the management of this hotel takes these criticisms constructively and takes immediate steps to address the pressing issues. A thorough renovation, investment in soundproofing, and an increase in staff would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. Your travel experience deserves better than what this establishment currently offers.

We paid ~$500 for two nights. I won’t comment on the location as I didn’t mind the commute to Ottawa’s major attractions. I am only going to comment about the room. It was not well kept at all. The floors were sticky and dusty. On the second day, we asked for housekeeping but no one came. The TV was broken. We were told there is a microwave in the room but there wasn’t. Upon asking, the staff brought one for us (which was nice). I don’t think I will be staying here again.

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. They compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it.
