Absolutely beautiful scenic place to explore. Free parking. It is quite a walk to the lake from both sides around the lake but a very enjoyable one especially when the weather is nice. The watch deck at the top gives a beautiful view of the whole lake. Experiencing a sunset at that time is absolutely breathtaking. Families have come and visited this lake but have to be very careful with kids because of the steep slopes. The path can get slippery and muddy when it has rained.

Not pink, but there is a lake here. Picturesque lookout. Interpretive panels explaining the story behind the name, the colour of the lake and why this lake is rare. FYI There are stairs here and the trail around the lake is one-way due to Covid-19 restrictions.

A very refreshing getaway place where you can hike for hours away from the city crowd. And the view is so mesmerizing. There are a lot of parking spaces available and if there is no space, you can also park on the side of the road.

Stunning scenery, there's a shuttle bus from the estate nearby. Ends at 4 : 45 pm be sure not to get stuck :) limited parking (13 spots) otherwise. A portable potty is on site. Great for biking too.

The Pink Lake lookout is a captivating destination that offers a unique experience within Gatineau Park. During our visit, we were immediately intrigued by the history surrounding the lake and the intriguing reason behind its name. In addition to the lookout itself, we discovered that there is a trail below, enticing us with the promise of further exploration. However, due to our attire not being suitable for hiking, we decided to forgo the trail on this occasion. Nevertheless, we were still able to appreciate the beauty of Pink Lake from the lookout point. The view from the Pink Lake lookout was absolutely stunning. The tranquil waters of the lake, surrounded by lush greenery and framed by the picturesque landscape of Gatineau Park, created a serene and awe-inspiring vista. It was a moment of serenity, where we could appreciate the beauty of nature in all its splendor. While we may have missed out on the trail below, our experience at the Pink Lake lookout was still highly enjoyable. It provided us with a chance to connect with nature, learn about the lake's history, and simply revel in the peaceful ambiance of the surroundings. For those interested in hiking and exploring the area further, the trail below the lookout is certainly worth considering. Just make sure to come prepared with appropriate attire to fully enjoy the experience. In conclusion, the Pink Lake lookout is a must-visit spot within Gatineau Park. Whether you choose to delve into the lake's fascinating history, embark on the trail below, or simply take in the mesmerizing views, it's a destination that will leave a lasting impression. Don't forget to bring your hiking gear if you plan to explore the trail and fully immerse yourself in the wonders of Pink Lake and its surroundings.

If you go to pink lake with family and friends, must try the trail which is almost 2.5 km long and takes almost 1.5 hrs. It's one of the best trail in Gatineau park. You won't feel tired with different view of the lake.

Stunningly beautiful views of the lake. Trail mostly hugs the lake's shoreline, and consists of stairs, boardwalk, gravel, and packed dirt sections. The main lookout is close to the parking area (which is small). There are other viewing areas along the trail. Note: the lake is not pink in color. The name comes from the surname of European immigrants who settled in the area.

Awesome place for a warm evening summer visit just outside DT Ottawa. Highly suggest visiting the lake close to the sunset as it's beautiful and mesmerizing. There are multiple lookout points around the lake giving an awesome views and spots for photography. It was nice learning many unique things about this lake. A must visit for anyone who is in Ottawa/Gatineau area.

Our experience on a Friday was great! We went yesterday. We believe the main road to get there might be closed as the parking lot was empty. Thankfully, we got to Pink Lake by parking on the side of the road (gps took us right there) and walked about 500m in the forest 🌳 (which was gorgeous). Others had done the same but it was quiet yesterday. With the beautiful sun out the lake was showing it’s beautiful famous teal color. The hike i’d say is rated intermediate as there’s a lot of stairs and areas of natural branching. This location is not stroller friendly nor wheelchair friendly. All the beautiful trees surrounding the lake provide nice shade during the hike. Bring a lunch, there’s a lot of beautiful spots to stop and enjoy the beauty of nature. However, please protect the area and keep your trash in your bag 🩡. We were sad to see plastic bottles in a few areas which are very hard to reach for whoever maintains the property. Let’s take care of our planet 🌎!

Pink Lake in Gatineau is a captivating natural oasis nestled within the heart of Gatineau Park. Its tranquil waters and lush surroundings create an inviting atmosphere for visitors seeking a peaceful escape. The trail that winds around the lake offers a picturesque journey through diverse landscapes, from dense forested areas to rocky outcrops that provide stunning vantage points. As you walk along the trail, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the lake's vibrant green waters, a sight that feels almost surreal against the backdrop of nature. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply seeking a moment of serenity, Pink Lake offers a unique and rejuvenating experience that celebrates the beauty of the great outdoors.

We went on a rainy day and weekday but the route was not open. The signs were confusing, had to drive like 5 km detour to the central info place to ask. We did a 3 to 5km walk and the walk was smooth. Great place for bikers.

Nice little spot, great view and moderately challenging walk around the lake. Just the type of low cost time out that alot of folks are looking for, particularly in this post COVID world.

While the majority of people biking up here wear spandex, I cycled on a cruiser bike with my dog in her basket. It was hilly, I was a hot mess but we made it. And the colours of the trees in Autumn (Thanksgiving weekend is always stunning!) was worth every calorie burned. Looking forward to coming back via shuttle, to walk the lake loop (dogs aren’t allowed sadly).

Nice Look out! A great trail towards the lake. The lookout itself does not have space to accommodate a lot of cars. Definitely space for hikers and cyclists. Great views and loved the climb back up! :)

Where do I start ... It is spectacular ! Fantastic trail around the lake and sooooo many spots for great pictures. Don't wait , take your loved ones and head there for a great time. Don't forget to pack a nice little picnic. I enjoy food while in nature and this is the right place for that, too. Enjoy !
