I'e been hungry form shawarma for over a month. Went to Amiral for the first time at lunch time and it was EXCELLENT. Will return for sure. Too the chicken shawarma. Garlic sauce is very good and lots of chicken in the sandwich.

THE BEST SHAWARMA PLACE in Ottawa/Gatineau area I tried! Ingredients are always fresh, food is delicious, meat is high quality and they don’t skip on grilling your sandwiches or meats! Potions are massive and for a solid price! Service is fast! Employees are professional and SOOOO NICE AND FRIENDLY! 10/10 every time we went there! Their rice and potatoes are also delicious, and the hummus is just WOW! Your food is always served looking good and not a messy mountain of food! Love love love this place!

One of the best Shawarma places in Ottawa. There portions side is huge. What ever you take you may have to eat in two sittings. I would recommend going for a sandwich over a plate, as there right combination of meat, humus, sauces and salad in each bite will satisfy your taste buds.

Whoever’s working tonight sucks. We paid for extra meat to share the chicken dish since there’s usual enough for 2. Today we received less meat than a single portion normally comes with and we paid for extra!! The falafel balls are rock hard and inedible. Waste of money since they ended up in the trash. Tomatoes were not added as requested. Usually pretty good but tonight was a bust

I went to this cafe to try it not the shawarma next to it. The shawarma resto and the cafe share the same space so it's kind of a mood killer. The decor was created by someone who obviously has no idea what a real cafe is. Maybe go and visit moca loca and mulligan. It looks cheap and generic. Also plastic fork... really??? I ordered a crepe with chocolate and received the most disgusting outrageous thing I have seen. Someone chopped up and murdered some poor crepe and.made spaghetti out of it then spritzed some ready cheap chocolate sauce over it. Also the girl mixed up my order though there was no one there. Also ordered the smoothie and again this poor girl had no idea what a smoothie was. I had to throw it it was this bad, some milk and badly chopped mango pieces inside. please fix your menu, I can make all of these at home, but would be happy to have a cafe nearby.

Great staff, very generous in their portion, food is always fresh, it's good for a quick bite, or something when you don't know what to eat.

Hey you, yes you! Hungry reader, why are you reading reviews for a shawarma place. Even bad shawarma is delicious, and this place makes the BEST shawarma I've tried in all of Ottawa and Gatineau. Stop reading and go get a delicious chicken sandwich and some of their potatoes right now (the toum is also spot on) Kudos to the staff and management of this business for being super consistent in their food, its always great. So . Much. Delicious. Food. They have generous portions and the meat and potatoes taste superb. They give a variety of sauces when you order the family combo. There is enough food to last for two meals. We ate at Many shawarma places in Quebec and were mostly disappointed but this stop in gatineau was remarkable. The staff is very courteous. Plenty of room to dine in.

Delicious food! We had two vegetarian dishes: assiette falafel and assiette végétarienne and both were very big - had to take it home to finish. Tasty and fresh!

So we've been homeless for the first time ever for about 2 weeks now. We went and spent our last 15$ on shawarmas... BUT they gave us free potatoes and made sure we were OK!! The food itself is BETTER than shawarma palace in ottawa!!! 10 out of 10 will recommend amiral to EVERYONE!!!!!

I am a newcomer, but one of the first things I did was to ask for recommendations on places that had a good Shawarma in Ottawa. Surprisingly fresh and delicious. Chicken shawarma can often be dry, but these guys know what they're doing. The chicken was moist, tender, and tasty. Will be coming back.

I had a SUPER DELICIOUS small chicken shawarma there today ! It was juicy, made with very fresh ingredients to my liking ! I took the 'combo' with a salad and drink. The salad was crispy fresh! This is the mark of a place which truly CARES to deliver top quality! I loved their new coffee corner which has a nice sit-down atmosphere ...where you can get coffees and hot drinks, pastries, desserts and even scrumptious pancakes! So, now you can even go for breakfast there! I will definitely stop by more during this summer! The place is air-conditionned, it is very clean, the service is excellent and warm. This is a win-win place to go! You bet that I am going to make it a point to encourage this business !

It was my first time trying this place, I made a chicken shawarma plate order through doordash. The plate was very delicious, the rice was fluffy and chicken was moist and crispy. The Hummus is one of the best I’ve ever tried. And the portions is great. The plate overall was very delicious and visually appealing too!. I had to call them and thank them for the delicious meal. Will definitely order again. Highly recommended!

Went by to pick up a coffee and snacks. Found mold on the bottom of my croissant. the tart smelled like it had been in the fridge for weeks (picked up the scent of other food). I'm disgusted.

Great shawarma, we order from them all the time. The portions are indeed immense, the plates are big enough for 2 adults to be full. The spices are delicious and not overwhelming, and when we come in person we can customize the order even more. Good work everyone!

A very disorganized operation. I made the pick-up order online and arrived at the indicated time on the app. I checked in with the cashier, and he said they had not started the order yet but they will get to it soon. I understand they were busy so I waited as they finished up the other orders. Another 20 min passes and they are now taking new orders from walk-ins and they still have not started my order yet. I spoke to the "manager" and he doesn't even seem to be aware that there were awaiting orders, but he did finally start the order. I specifically reminded the cashier that there was a baklava in the order but instead got a date square. The icing on the cake I guess. There were 4 people working in the front and they all seemed very lost. I strongly suggest not to order from a delivery app as they do not have any systems in place to deal with them.

Extremely dirty place, all is sticky around you, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or maintained in years. There is even broken glass everywhere like the actual door and glass wall are broken with all their pointed edges still there! I surely do not recommend. I am not sure how they received all those positive reviews but it surely is in no way close to a Lebanese shawarma restaurant’s cleanliness and taste.

Really great chicken shawarma sandwich. Great quantity but most importantly, quality of the meat: nicely crisp on the outside and juicy inside. Generous sandwich for less than $10. That's a rarity now.

I picked up a plate from the too good to go app. Honestly, the chicken was disgusting. I was served pieces of chicken that was probably hanging outside the whole day. 80% of the chicken were hard bits that I had to throw off.
