👍 The prawns were good, fish and chips and seafood paella were average. However, for the cost of the fish and chips I was expecting a slightly larger portion. Their meals are more of a quick bite size. If you have time on your hands then go for it, because the waiting time to be served was at least 2... The prawns were good, fish and chips and seafood paella were average. However, for the cost of the fish and chips I was expecting a slightly larger portion. Their meals are more of a quick bite size. If you have time on your hands then go for it, because the waiting time to be served was at least 20 minutes when there were maybe 4-5 people ahead of us. And then an extra 15ish minutes for the food to be served. They've got a tent up by the docks for people to sit and eat, but it's limited seating space. Overall its a good experience, but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're after a dinner or lunch, personally I think it's better suited towards a quick bite or a snack.

Whats not to love about freshly cooked fish, calamari and muscles from a floating grill boat. I mean its so fresh you can almost feel bad that is was swimming about not long ago. But lets talk about the taste, you come here to taste the fish, not loads of seasoning or buckets of batter or even the chips. lightly battered and very little to distract from the fishy goodness. Portions are generous for the price and the outdoor plastic seating, remember, you are closer to the ocean and action than the people in the 3 times the price restaurant up the pier. Its fish and calamari from a man in a boat by the pier, its not fancy and it doesn't need to be.

I had a snack -Potato Cakes They were the worst and the most expensive. They were over cooked and not exactly the right size for the right price. Really no flavour

the fish received was raw went back to ask about it they said it wasn't, their excuse whiting skin is like that, umm the flesh was gummy and transparent still, they picked through it and said they would re fry the fish. Chips so over done so dry, if they can't even cook chips not going to trust that my fish is not raw. Don't like to begrudge a small business but double check your fish is cooked, not good food for an expensive price.

Come here for the mussels. Other things on the menu is just alright. Others that wouldn’t go well close to the water, probably don’t order.

Extremely fresh seafood in this fish boat. They sell cooked food as well fresh mussels to take home. Their paella is the best, not only fresh mueesls on top, mussels also inside paella. Portion is not big, but heaps of seafood inside, worth the money. Their fresh mussels are way better than bought from market, very clean and fresh. Take little effort to cook after bought home. Very cheap too. Love it so much.

I tried the oysters and paella. The paella rice is exceptional that it keeps crispy as it was made after order. The fresh mussels are meaty and tender. It only provides take away (some tables by the boat) but it's good to take them to the bench by the sea and enjoy the food with breeze.

Mussels were beautiful, any other opinion is invalid. They were fresh, sweet, succulent and juicy. Molto Benne

Gerrys Muscle Boat is just that, a fishing boat turned into a wharfside Cafe that turns some pretty good food. Got some chips, potato cake and some muscles and all where fresh with great taste and ready in 10 mins. Couple of bench tables near by to eat, whilst watching the tourist helicopter land.

Driving around Geelong and saw a sign for fresh mussels. Yes please! Got 2kgs and the seafood paella. Definitely a must have! Paella is mouthwatering with a very generous amount of seafood. It was raining so we couldnt eat outside but next to a nice seaside view i would recommend.

Had the best steamed mussels and chips here yesterday and had the calamari and chips before. Also, the guy there is an absolute champ! We also had a good talk about fishing and even showed us the huge fish that he got. Will be back for sure ❤️

Muscles were fresh, but unfortunately, they were not properly cleaned. I would have liked them slightly bigger as well. The dish was, unfortunately, served cold (supposed to be hot). It was still good. Calamari and chips were ok. Lacking a bit of salt and also not hot when it reached the table. Lovely setting.

Best steamed mussels we’ve had at very good price. Both options of seasoning with red wine and white wine are great 👍

Nice food, portions a little small but great for an afternoon snack. Good location and quick service.

A small fish and chippery based out of a boat. The food was fresh and very tasty. Portions are individual with the prices being good but not cheap. We had the garlic mussels which were amazing, as well as whiting, calamari and chips. While as I said everything was actually good, both the calamari and the mussels definitely stood out. Very often with fish and chips the calamari is overcooked becoming tough and rubbery. This was the opposite of that experience with the crispy battery protecting the tender juicy calamari. The mussels were similarly cooked to perfection. Eating on the open dock was a delight and actually added to the experience. I would definitely highly recommend, though it's best to get in early as they tend to keep things fresh so often sell out toward the afternoon.

Ordered seafood paella, calamari and fish and chips around 12.15pm on a Sunday. Waited for about 40 minutes as they were very busy! Food was very fresh. Love the calamari and fish and chips. The paella was ok - needs more umami. Rice was cooked perfectly though. Enjoyed our food overall eventhough it was a long wait.
