I apologize in advance, but I don't know how this Y gets such a high rating. I have joined twice, and both times left because I found it dirty, dark/dingy/depressing, and equipped with machines that don't work like they are supposed to. The music in the weight room is often jarring, alternating between rap and rock. The staff is usually grouchy or given to an "I don't care" attitude. I have worked in gyms before and belonged to two other Y's in my life, and in my opinion, this place is awful. About the only good thing I can say is that if you can't afford anywhere else and really need to get some kind of exercise, well, at least it's there. I would strongly recommend you find somewhere else to go.

I was surprised when they share my financial situation and invoices with the trainers. They hold the certificate of achivment till the invoice get paid in full. I think this actions are accepted from commercial services not the Y. I feel they should not be registered for non profit. I feel bad about what happened, although I was their customer for over 5 years.

The pool is great but the lap swim hours and "summer hours" could be better for those with jobs. Great weight room. Locker rooms could be a bit cleaner and newer, for the money. Family memberships are very expensive.

The price is right! The weight room is very good, ellipticals are good too. People say the pool is good I don't use it but there is a sauna too. Many different classes are available also.

Nice place, big A-frame structure slated for expansion if they can raise matching funds. Good staff. Wife started classes with very qualified trainer. Old exercise rooms filled with modern equipment. We are new members.

I visited the Geneva family YMCA while visiting a friend in the area. This place had a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff as well as other customers. I loved the pool, the classes and the people that made it so easy to come and join them even if for a person not in great shape. I also felt very welcome because everyone seemed so curios about me. I very much enjoyed my two weeks' visit to this nice YMCA and hopefully will get another opportunity to do so again one day.

I was invited to attend a friends and family event here the Geneva YMCA. It was very enjoyable. They offered free hotdogs with a bag of chip and a drink. You could also get a bag of fresh popped popcorn if you wanted it.. They had picnic tables and blankets space out throughout the yard for families to enjoy there food or just to sit . The pool was open, the playground was available along with a bounce house and other games to play. It was a very fun night I must say and I look forward to attending eith my kids next year, Lords will.

YMCA is a great place to go. I look forward to going each day. The weight equipment helps me work on getting knees feeling better. I would highly recommend the YMCA for anyone.

Excellent when I bring my son there I know he is taken care of. All the staff are great.

Excellent why staff is wonderful 😀 And members are either retured or good old down to earth 🌎 people. To me the place is spotless and cleaning staff are excellent.
