An excellent dinner with a great old town ambiance - both inside as well as their terrace. The staff all speak English and are helpful and they have translated menu's as well. It's a good idea to make a reservation in advance for their peak hours. Highly recommend the cheese fondue and veal with rosti.

This was recommended to us for fondue and did not disappoint! We all agreed the Alpine fondue was better than the original. Loved the outdoor seating.

This restaurant is open on Sunday which is awesome! The food quality is good and so generous we couldn’t finish it! They have a wide selection of wine, cocktails and ice cream! The prices are bit high! They accept American Express!

It took some good time to get the waiter's attention, despite having announced myself and my sitting on the outdoor area. I asked for a glass of water, never came until I asked again alongside the bill. Fondue was really great, and decently priced for the city. But food is not everything you're looking for in a restaurant. Service is a big part too, and it was lackluster on that front.

Horrible service! Food is just ok, a clear tourist trap and they are proud of it! It is unfortunate as the restaurant location is perfect and the younger staff seemed having a better attitude 😉 I will definitely NOT come back or advise this restaurant for anyone. Switzerland- Great location in old Geneva and equally good food. The escargot was somewhat flavorless….however, the main course of canard confit was beautifully prepared with great sides that the one piece was filling. Serve was sporadic. A cigar from Casa Nuevo on the other side of the cathedral made it memorable!

Delicious gaspacho soup. A wonderful Geneva style salad. A scrumptious sunshine salad. Fondue is on the menu, but we didn't order it. Great service. Prices were reasonable, perhaps slightly higher than other places. A quaint location in the middle of Old Town Geneva.

Lovely restaurant located in the center of the Old Town. Traditional decoration, efficient and friendly service; the food was very good. The fondue was delicious and my husband loved the veal he ordered. Very enjoyable experience.

Wonderful meal! The Salade Genevoise tasted light and flavorful. The Gaspacho tasted great...as did the Filet de Perches au Beurre Citroné. Service was efficient, pleasant, but not overbearing...just what you'd expect at a Swiss brasserie. The restaurant sits on a quiet street, with no motorized traffic after the work day ends. So it is a quiet place to rest and enjoy a good meal.

This is THE place for authentic Swiss experience. Great food and local wine. I've been eating here for 30 years and come here every time I am in Geneva

Visited recently whilst on holiday, absolutely beautiful restaurant with a really traditional and romantic feel. The staff are helpful and friendly and most importantly the food is amazing! Highly recommended

Stumbled on a whim as originally had hopes to go to Papon but had no reservations for lunch. Lovely kid friendly resto with several pub style options. Kids had nuggets and tried the fondue!

Love the fondue. We ordered the mushroom and bacon set for 2 and it comes with a side of potatoes and bread the usual for swiss fondue set. A simple yet delicious meal, with the cheese not overly salty or overwhelming. And this is coming from a non-cheese lover. We came by a weekday lunch hour after xmas week and was almost turned away due to no reservation, luckily the outside tables cleared in time. So please call a few days ahead for appointment as it seemed really popular. Btw the kids fish meal is really tasty too.

Food is generally fine. Cheese fondue is rather average though. The service is definitely lackluster, dragging down the whole dinner experience. The wait service was long, we were ignored by the lady waiter for long while who seemingly prefer to chat with the local guests than serving the visitors. Half way during our food order she left without any explanation and never came back... Price is definitely on the high side, considering the above.

Nice restaurant Also cosy to have a drink with friends or dating Calm street next to the famous canons I trully recommend the cheese fondue "moitié-moitié" Dare to see and say "Hello" to the dragon 🐉 in the toilets #Dungeon&Dragon Service is a little bit slow (blame it on Swiss lifestyle) and professional (adding light at the moment, parasol ready in case it would rain) Apparently a lot of celebrities already went through this restaurant so if you want to feel like a star follow them here

Location is the best, in the heart of the old town where you can both eat and enjoy the vibe. Food was average, the fondue was a bit disappointed as I feels very watery, bread was either too hard or too soft like they dip the hard one in the water. Service is nice and ok but when it gets crowded we need to wait 15mins for the bill.

I had the typical classic fondue, it was very tasty, I liked it. The price is for the classic 26 CHF per person. Dessert is also good, homemade but too small for me.

Nice spot in old town with outdoor seating and history. I like to take friends here who are new to Geneva to get a unique experience and good food Dined here several times over the past 12 years and it does not disappoint. I love sitting outside and absorbing the atmosphere and history around the restaurant. Cobbled streets, government buildings, and energetic people. Fondue is as good as one would expect in Switzerland. That means it's great ( it's the only thing I've had when visiting Hotel de Ville, aside from when stopping just for drinks). Wine list focuses on local wines which I appreciate. Service is always helpful and with the assortment of locals and tourists the staff is always friendly and supportive.

A very old restaurant and bistro, as old as Old Geneva in the seventeenth century. It seems that it was known to army officers because the main decor in it is a large collection of army officers’ hats, the atmosphere is nice, the food is normal good. and the service is excellent, and the cheese fondue dish is great

Cheese fondue bread could be much better, The bread was hard and dry. Cheese was not exciting either.

Very good hamburger and beer, I didn’t try the fondue but my friends confirm it was great!

Went there at about 4-5 pm which was not a rush hour. Many tables there were empty and we asked to be seated. Old waiter yelled at us that it is full and we could only get a drink. It was so rude, not saying sorry or being at least friendly. We were shocked and right after we left older couple went in and were seated immediately.. Which to me seams like you assume young couple would not spend as much as older people? Too bad. We went to restaurant next door where they were really friendly! :)

It’s a topical restaurant in Geneve. It’s in old Town and here you really feel like in another time or time stoped here. I love the Interieur and the spirit here. Service is very relaxed. The food is really nice. If you want a typical night and food and old town energy come here.

This place was recommended for the Swiss classic dish, fondue, which I hadn't had before, and it didn't disappoint, it was delicious, though it is a bit pricey, that's just Geneva for you! The staff, who initially came off a bit nonchalant were very nice and helpful. It's a quaint, traditional style place, and the crowd was a mix of tourists and locals which is always good.

Beautifully restored building with outstanding service. However, portions are small (I had the seasonal roe), little accompaniement, oily spätzli. Overpriced according to me.

The food is tasty, the location is great. They just need to improve the service a little bit but evething else is fine. The foundue is also decent 🧀 and the price is reasonable for the area.

10/10. Wonderful traditional and peaceful Swiss restaurant in the heart of old Geneva a stone's throw from the Cathedral. The service was extremely polite and welcoming. The desserts were exquisite and coffee was delicious. An absolutely lovely place to have a drink. Set beautiful on a corner of a cobblestone street with smart red, black and wooden furniture. Must visit!

Great location, a stone's throw from the cathedral. Prices are reasonable to Geneva and the location, and food is tasty. However, the service could have been much better - no efforts to speak English, despite asking, and very little attention to customers was paid.
