We spent one night in this hotel and honestly, it’s more than enough. You mostly spend your day outside. The room was clean, the bathroom as well. Towels are included, same as soap. You could use the same soap for your hair. But that is one thing I would avoid. Bring your own shampoo. I tried this, but it left my hair super dry and full of knots. Otherwise, the atmosphere of the hotel, the halls, downstairs was pretty nice.

EDIT 01/03/2023: After a nice call with the General Manager of the hotel, they decided to gave me a full refund for my stay. I have received the transfer today. They also confirmed the bedbugs in two adjacent rooms and they have taken care of that. They also told me that they will improve training of cleaning personnel to detect signs of bedbugs early in the future. EDIT 13/02/2023: I was informed by the hotel that a pest control company will check my room, as well as common corridors and other rooms for signs of bedbugs. Original review: This is my second attempt to write a review of the hotel. First time it got flagged as spam (I later learned that Google did that, not the hotel). Please, consider avoiding this hotel. As of February 2023 they have a bedbug infestation. It is also next to a construction and it gets very noisy early in the morning (every morning you will hear a drill around 7 or 7:30 am). I cannot share the bedbug photos directly here or my review will get deleted again.

I had an excellent stay here. The staf went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. I got a lot of good recommendations for cafe’s and restaurants. I recommend this place to everyone. 10/10

We stayed at the end of May 2022. Chose the location as just outside the town centre so thought it would be quieter. When we checked in we went to our room to discover right outside our window was a huge digger that was clearly in the process of digging out a channel in the road. It was a Sunday so obviously no work was actually going on. We went down to reception to ask if it was likely to start up again on the morning and we were told by the receptionist that she ‘didn’t know’ if it would!!! So we asked if there was any chance we could get a room at the back of the hotel. She managed to find us one. What she neglected to tell us though is there’s an apartment block being built at the back, two cranes, the whole nine yards. Work started at 7.15am and 6.30am both mornings we were there. And it was LOUD!!! Obviously the hotel isn’t responsible for the building work and we had little issue with the actual hotel but didn’t appreciate being lied to because judging by some of the comments on here the roadworks have been going on for months!! So maybe offer ear plugs in your rooms for unsuspecting customers!!??? If booking anytime soon be prepared for construction noise as nothing looked near completion!

This hotel wasn't bad at all really, the staff we're very nice and the place was very clean and modern. We found the commute into Ghent centre was about 23 minutes on an E Scooter so that wasn't so bad. My only real issue I found is we didn't have a TV remote in the room. We arrived by car from the UK and was a little confused with the parking, you need to drive into the hotel just before the reception doors! 18 euros for 24hours.

Nice hotel for a visit Gent. Double bed shoved up against the wall , so difficult to get in for wall side person if elderly. Air con a bit annoying. Good car parking but 18€ per night. Good breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Nice bar and reception area. About 15 minutes walk to the centre of Gent. Good bicycle hire service at 10€ per day

We were English speaking visitors and all the staff were friendly and approachable. The location was superb as it was walking distance from the city center. It was an amazing guest experience overall. My husband and I left feeling very satisfied.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. It was extremely clean, and everything is like new. The neighborhood does not look welcoming, but it's safe and a short walk to the square. The staff is excellent, and breakfast great. The room is on the small side, but very cozy and has everything you need. Great value for the price. Highly recommend.

Nice place to stay in Gent! We stay for a night, but it is a nice place to stay for longer period! It takes around 30 minutes to reach the old city by walking, but you can enjoy the walking through the city! There is a big underground parking for the guests of the hotel! Room is not so big, but for travelers is enough for two persons. Very clean hotel and room!

affordable. A clean hotel. I would especially like to thank Ms. Tuba at the reception for her friendliness. I can't say the same for the gentleman in the breakfast room, but in general the employees are caring and friendly. You can play table tennis and table football in the lobby. One of the missing aspects could be bidet faucets in the toilet bowls. Daily room cleaning was good but could have been done better. We stayed safely. I recommend it. Breakfast was 8 euros on booking, 15 euros at the hotel. Parking is paid outside. 15/18 euros per day at the hotel. You can enter and exit as many times as you want. Take these into consideration when purchasing a hotel online.

Really good value for money. No frills but no complaints either. The room was very modern and compact but had everything you would need for a base when out sightseeing. The hotel isn't in the center of town but the centre is walkable in around 15mins and the hotel is close to a train station. We also really enjoyed the breakfast! Overall really good value for money and I would recommend.

This hotel is wonderful, we loved the young and relaxed atmosphere. It's an excellent idea for anyone passing through Ghent and anyone looking to enjoy a comfortable stay close to the city's attractions. The rooms are spacious and the entire hotel is wheelchair accessible.

The breakfast buffet has quite a good (self service) assortment and friendly staff taking care of refill / cleaning. Room was very basic/compact but for long weekend stay with good restaurant and facilities in Gent we only used for relaxing after diner and spending the night. Also in my opinion this is advantage, because lobby (with bar and snacks) was most of the times very crowded with people so the rooms were only used for sleep time.

We had a small, but very affordable room considering the accommodation prices in Belgium. It was clean with a comfortable bed, TV and a nice bathroom.

Friendly modern hotel with plenty on offer for the price. The room is small, with a pull-down bed out of the cupboard serving as an extra bed but the TV services provide plenty of choices and apps to keep children amused. Breakfast is extra (15 euros) but offers a wide selection of English and continental options. The hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from the city centre and there is a reasonably priced carpark adjacent with the hotel has many spaced allocated to and allows guests a direct lift into the hotel. The main train station is 5 minutes walk away as are a selection of medium sized supermarkets. The room was clean and well kept and the hotel had a very modern vibe to it. Definitely recommended and worth looking into if you are visiting the city.

For A Solo Travelers, this Hotel will Surely Suitable, the Modern Hip Design and the Minimalist Style is very Good for those who loves Cool Lobbies and Snacks everywhere this on is for you , I really enjoyed my staying and it’s so near the train station. Plus the Staff all are very friendly.

Friendly staff, clean room with air conditioning and a fifteen minute walk from the city center. The TV had a casting option built-in, awesome! Curtains really darken the room, so we were able to properly sleep. It's Ibis Budget, so we're not expecting anything super fancy. Just good value for money.

Not a nice experience as I expected. We paid a staggering 145 euros for a night - only to have almost nil facilities (no water kettle, basic cups). Someone almost barged in the room without any notice. Overall, price performance ratio did not fit

We had a nice stay at the hotel at the beginning of April. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bedlinen are clean and equipped with all basic necessaries (towels, hairdryer, soap, shower gel, warm water, WiFi, and TV). In the lobby you can buy anytime a snack and drink. This is a budget hotel so the rooms are very small and there are no extras like a mini fridge in the room but this is why they have such affordable prices. For travellers without or with one child - it is perfect for a few nights' stay.

The rooms are small, and that’s fine because it’s a budget hotel, but the comfort is not there even if the rooms is supposed to be to 3 people, the shower is see thru and the door don’t close, the bathroom door neither and there’s no room for any baggage

Small compact type room. The bed had outlets and a shelf with a USB port but it charges so slowly that it's a bit useless. You can hear most sounds through the windows/walls which I imagine would be worse when it's busy season. Easy short walk from the train station and max 30min walk from most places in central Ghent so great location. Still building it/the area though

I have, so far, been hear 8 days of 11. (+) New and fresh rooms, nice staff, good breakfast, new towels now an then. (-) Things i miss in the room: glass or cup, remote for TV, shoe horn, cleaning at least some day in a week, new sheets in the bed / week. (Cleaned the floor by my self today)

It was an overall good experience, though the rooms were very small. It was good for a Solo trip. However if planning to go with family or friends you might rethink. If not claustrophobic then it's good and cozy. There is a safe room below also if required to keep luggage. The staff were very friendly and good. Happy to help and support anytime. The morning Breakfast was good and a good variety of food was available....It was a good experience. I was also guided by the staff for where to visit and time etc.

Great staying experience! Very clean, no problems of noise whatsoever, very rich breakfast, courtesy and professionalism from the workers.

We had a very nice time here. The room was very big (because it was suitable for handicapped). Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Helpful staff told us how to reach the city, which is within walking distance (15 min). Also Gent Dampoort station is less than 10 min away by foot. Overall great value for money.

  • 3/5 Kels M. 2 years ago on Google
The room was nice and clean and the overall look was fun! I know budget is in the name but that is no excuse to have such extremely thin towels.

The advantage of this hotel is that you can just walk to the city center of Ghent, and the checking in and checking out was fast, but the rest are not crazy and not too worth it. You have no good choices for breakfast for 9 euros (no options for non-Belgian or non- European travelers). You have to pay for the parking (all night for 12 euros and you can't directly go to the hotel with your car, so you have to park in the streets, check-in and comeback with your car) and the most complicated part was going to the hotel because the road was under construction. The Belgian roads are complicated, even at some point, Google map can't recognize the good road.

Clean and modern. The room is equiped with the strict necessities, but it is a budget hotel after all. Breakfast is great!

  • 5/5 Shantanu P. 2 years ago on Google
Got what we expected. Rooms were rather spacious. Value for money. Location is also good for sightseeing as the city centre is just 15mins walking distance from here. From that sense, it would be more convenient to stay here than at the central station as it is farther from the old centre.

  • 3/5 Pratik D. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are ok. Considering it was budget, the quality did seem budget. However it was a bit overpriced compared to other "non-budget" hotels. The shower area wasn't well designed as there would always be water leaking on the outer floor after a shower. The choices of breakfast and housekeeping can be better.

They mentioned parking available but they charge when you wanted to Check in. They didn't mention it in their site. Parking fee is 15 Euros. Once you Check in they give you the keys but to Check in we need to park the car. Such a friendly hotel. Family room is 8 sq.m. no cupboards. Not a friendly staffs. I definitely don't recommend this. I don't want to give even one star 🌟 but there is no lesser than this

The staff and people were very good. The rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast. Well, we know this is a budget hotel, and the breakfast reflects that. The menu was the same all the days I was there. The location was put it mildly outside Ghent. Very limited public transport to reach the place, in case you did not have your own transportation. The location did not feel safe.

This is a budget hotel, so do not expect soft towels or luxury toilet paper. But it does offer a clean, cleverly laid out room close to the city centre. There are rental bikes available; we used them and it's a convenient way to travel around town. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff was very friendly. The location is good for a stay in Ghent and very convenient as is super close to Ghent Dampoor Station. The breakfast was good, with a great choice of food such as fresh bread, croissants, yogurt and jams. The room was small but had everything you need and the shower was great. Also the bed was comfortable. The only negative side is that I found the room a bit dusty.

The hotel is very beautiful and does not have the extreme luxury of luxury hotels. In my opinion, the hotel is a place of relaxation and relaxation and there is no reason for it to be too flashy. Of course, some may disagree with my opinion.

I’m very happy with the room its very clean. I enjoyed the great breakfast and small but durable rooms with everything you need. Excellent and helpful staff. Thank you so much for the gluten-free bread every day in the morning because that’s an important plus point for me personally. You need to be careful with the temperature of the water in the shower though because you can burn yourself easily. I think the water temperature is enough to 😆brew a tea. I have read some complaints about the windows not opening. Sorry but that’s on you. I didn’t have any problem with that. Good thing is they’re completely soundproof.

The Location is absolutely Perfect, everything on walking distance. Not to mention the staff is superfriendly and quick to respond to one's needs. And the Breakfast was nice. Will for sure repeat coming to stay here i learned they are expanding and getting bigger types of spaces as well enough reasons to start planning my next visit... i'll be b@ck

Very expensive for the room of an unbelievably small size and a location very far from the city center. To add, if you have a baby, the cupboard inside the room will be converted into a bed which means literally the family starts cramping inside the mouse hole. Coming to the expenses part, for this totally useless cot-turned-bed, I happened to pay 16€. Breakfast not included and the cost for it is another 10€ per head. Parking is 14€ per night. I parked my car behind the hotel for free. I do not recommend this place for sure.

  • 1/5 Ahmet K. 1 year ago on Google
Very bad experience overall. There is no window in most of rooms and air conditioner is definitely not working. I have discussed with the reception and they assured me there is no problem and air conditioner working perfectly, but it is even impossible to breathe in these room since there is no window and no air conditioner. We have changed room but shower in both room was disgusting, the water does not go drain and always there is a pool in bathroom after shower, no way to prevent this since the design of bathroom is enabling this. So after a shower goodluck for using the bathroom. Rooms are very very small even for 1 person, forget about 2. At least bed and room was clean.

  • 3/5 Souad I. 2 years ago on Google
We weren't sure what to expect when booking this accommodation, but we were pleasantly surprised. No traffic, construction noise, or drunken escapades got through the glass, meaning I slept like a baby the entire night. Convenient location, competitively priced and a well equipped. The staff were friendly and keen to be of assistance.
