Stayed here for four days. I much prefer having an apartment over a hotel - everything you need but none of the fuss. Our room had a small kitchen, minibar, and Netflix. The complex has a small terrace at he back which was lovely in the sunshine. Owner was friendly and helpful.

Despite the fact that our room was not entirely finished, it has been a very pleasant experience. Lovely building, character throughout. Location perfect and welcome parking facilities. The small nuances left around, the easiness of checkin and out has left us feeling at home from the 1st minute. One small tip. The room comes with a complete list of things to go and see, like the jazzclub. A map on the layout would be of great help to see which are closest. See you soon again!

I loved this place, it’s like having a rental apartment in the great spot in town. The staff are very helpful and dog friendly. Just walk outside and you’re in the Nederkouterstraat where it all happens!

Great place to stay on a quiet location, real close to the city center! I spent some time in the lounge and got a chance to see some of the rooms and I, as a Ghent local, would definitely recommend staying here. It’s within walking distance to the city highlights but also to many bars and restaurants. The big advantage is that’s in a quieter area, away from all the tourist stuff, and has a nice view on the river behind from the garden. Private parking on site is offered and the location is easy to access by car (LEZ). Taking the tram from the main station or park & ride (Expo) would also be convenient. Big plus is the amazing host, Babs, who will give you a warm welcome whenever she’s available and will be happy to share all the local secrets with you.

The Hide is such a gem of a place that I had to leave a review. It really is an otherworldly hideaway. What stroke me the most is the attention to details in the room. We stayed in the Flâneur room and loved the suspended bed, the beautiful bathroom and all the amenities at our disposal. While Barbara, the owner of the place, was extremely helpful and was willing to trip over herself to offer us the best stay possible, it never felt invasive at any point. I would highly recommend booking your next stay in Ghent at The Hide if you want to experience a city trip like never before!

Stylish, clean and comfortable. A unique concept, in a good way. apple TV, with netflix included. Well equiped kitchen. All locks and lighting are electronic. The location was excellent. A 10-15 minute walk to all the sites. Bus and tram are steps away and the train station is a few tram stops away. There is a grocery store next door and many restaurants steps away. Do yourself a favor and try Oats All Day for breakfast or lunch. Communication with Barbara (and Sylvie in her absence) was excellent. I highly recommend.

If you're looking for something next-level, this is it. Was back for two weeks, stayed in the Parea, gorgeous appartment with 2 bedrooms, each its on bathroom, fantastic bath tub (!), fireplace (!), huge terrace, big couch and Netflix. Barbara, the host, was exceptionally kind again, surprises here and there. Superb location, smack in the middle of the city center, more views, bars, restaurants and shops you could ever visit. In love with this place (but I'm sure that was quite clear by now).

This place is amazing. Not a classic hotel, but an adventure, a number of stories, with magnificent spaces, carefully curated culture and objects, smack in the middle of town. Highly recommended if you live next door on on the other side of the planet, come spend at least one night here.
