😠 13/7/22 Foods are great however one of the lady with short hair( hair length below ear) wear light green face mask not friendly and approachable. Offer desert is a good gesture however when dishes clearance never offer until we about to wear our face mask to go then only ask to offer. F&B is service... People often mention dishes, service, sashimi,

Edo Ichi is by far one of the best Japanese Restaurants we've tried so far! From service to speed to taste, everything here is top notch Service: Our waitress attended to our table fairly quickly. Also served us and recommended us some of the best dishes we've ever tasted. A crucial part of out experience truly. Speed: Our food came out approx 9 mins after we ordered and it didn't even felt like 9 minutes because the drinks came out right after we ordered which is super fast despite the restaurant being crowded! Food: We ordered> - stir fried beef rice - garlic fried rice - Cheese baked octopus balls (takoyaki) *must try!!! - pretty sure it's called saba fish (if you're not a fan of bones then it might not be for you) - Half a Blackfish Sashimi (i dont know the name of the fish) *One of the best sashimis I've ever tasted - Sushi Bento (pretty much a bento with fried prawns/eggplant, sushis and Sashimi. If you are not into sashimi then dont try the blackfish one but if you are you MUST!!! The cheese baked takoyaki however is a must try!! Even my mom that doesn't like cheese said its really good!!! The sashimis are quite thick and definitely better than your common japanese food etc; Sushi King 🥲🥲 Lastly, surrounding of the restaurant is comfortable but a bit dim which is okay for me. Do be mind there are hotpot options there if you're not a fan of sashimi!! 9/10 would come again!!! Total amount for the order is RM305.97

Superb taste, and superb portion. Must try Japanese cuisine in Penang! Parking is bit hard on dining hours though, and remember to make reservation before dining in. If you’re a member, remember to redeem free ice cream for every RM50 spent.

The food quality is phenomenal. Super fresh sashimi, well prepared, along with a great selection of hot dishes which were really delicious. Service was efficient but absolutely impersonal and certainly made no efforts to be particularly friendly. 10 stars for food, 3 for service.

Great variety, quality isn’t bad. I think prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality (as compared with Kirishima). True that the air-conditioning is cranked way too cold and the staff are quite noisy in their work. Birthday guests get a free dish for each $200 spend - we got tempura which wasn’t the best (batter was too thick). Dishes are generous and tasty overall. We’ve dined here many times.

Great taste and quality but be prepared to pay premium prices. You can even get airflow sashimi from Japan. You can get a complimentary dish if you order over rm150 on your birthday month. There are some dishes flavoured with fresh truffles though the rm24 noodle I ordered was like children's portion. Nabe stock was rich on sweet side. The tempura was extra crispy from baking soda used.

Celebrated my birthday here. birthday promotion: ice cream and salmon roll Sashimi the best. I love tuna belly, hamachi and scallop sashimi. The volcano rolls are superb as well. Overall, their service is great, food is on par with the price and environment is good.

Fresh sashimi - simply yum. The Twin Dragon Curry Cream Cheese Rice was simply too heavy for me but overall great meal. Some signatures and recommendations by the manager in the menu were captured.

We came here with friends for dinner. Everything we ordered was very good and most of all fresh. The sushi was very tasty, same as the noodle dishes. The only negative point was the very slow service of one of the meals. Three out of four had already finished their plate before the last plate came on the table. That should not happen at all!!

One of the best Japanese food we have tasted in Penang Island. The Edo Ichi Pizza is a must try.

Quality produce, made fresh with attention to detail. The highlight is the sushi. Tried the truffle dishes too (sushi and oysters ) absolutely delicious. The wasabi is a must try.

First time yere and the staff are really friendly staff. The wait time for food to be served isn't too long either. Ordered the sukiyaki, and it's really nice. I don't take the raw egg like normally how others would so I requested for them to cook for me and they brought me a portable stove instead, which I really like because I can have my sukiyaki hot all the time. Environment is really nice too as I am seated towards the back area so it's secluded and not too busy.

Edo ichi is the same group as Sushi Zento, Hachiban Izakaya and a few others but do visit Hachiban Izakaya instead if you want a better experience. The atmosphere was noisy and much too loud to have a quiet dinner. Food is extremely expensive and the quality has dropped over the years. Dondon donki's sushi is much better in Singapore compared to this overpriced Japanese restaurant. Service was meh and not worth the visit anymore.
