The food is very exquisite, authentic Japanese food. The menu itself is very special because there's a wide selection of seafood and meat to pick from and the homebrew lemon beer is very refreshing. There's whole sets of manga in Chinese up for reads as well if you're a manga fan.

This is by far one of the worst Japanese restaurant that I ever went. Maybe it shouldn’t be labeled as a Japanese restaurant 🙄 The salmon that I had were frozen and the Unagi was not fresh (super fishy taste)! Ordered the salmon sashimi for almost Rm40 but there’s BONE inside the sashimi???? Is ok if u admit your shortcomings But it’s NOT OK when ur giving tons of excuses like u tried to debone but still got leftover bone? It’s not called sashimi if there’re bones right? Not only that when I complained about the freshness of the grilled Unagi and they said it’s bcoz they didn’t grill them longer and brought to grill it again and common sense it won’t make the Unagi any fresher 🤦🏻‍♀️ So ended up they replaced a new grilled Unagi which is like much better than the earlier batch 😒 However, the fried food is still edible like the Fried ebi & gyoza so it’s depending on what ur looking for. Anyway, the owner should take responsibility in improving the quality of their ingredients and how to maintain the freshness of the seafood in order to run a Japanese restaurant.

I’ve not been back to this place for at least 12 years as it’s usually fully booked … so I felt I was kinda lucky to get a place during my trip back to Penang. The food is really good, and we loved every bite. The price is really affordable too despite the popularity of the place. We ordered so much that we didn’t have time to take photos of all the food we ordered 😀

My god mother brought me here and it was surprisingly good! It surely is one of the hidden gems in Penang island l. The owner here serves Chinese cuisine in Japanese twist. Really eye opening and tasty! Definitely a must try place!

Warm authentic Japanese vibes hidden at the back of Prima Tanjung. Wide variety of standard Japanese offerings and taste that is on point. A little short-staffed but they did pretty well in spite of an almost full house. The decor definitely gives mighty strong Japanese vibes and the pricing is quite reasonable. Would recommend - tsuzukete kudasai!

Great taste Japanese food 🍱. If drive there can park underground car park under the shop. No easy find the car park at streets side better park underground and more convenient. A lot’s Japanese food choices there and great taste and reasonable price. Nice staff service there we reached there almost 2 but the staff still serve us 😊 The deco and environment like traditional Japanese restaurants. Nice place for friends and family hang up there 👆 Have chance will come back again try other food at there 😊

It’s my first time coming to this brunch The ramen is alright. I personally think the ramen is better than the one in Queensbay Mall. The atmosphere here is more authentic compared to the other branches. However, please don’t order the satay style roast pork. It’s super dry and dull and it’s like eating rubber, really bad 😅 The parking is road side parking but there is also a commercial parking lots for more parking. Overall, it’s good just for the ramen.

Food was served very fast . Love the set unagi and salmon sashimi . Unagi was very tasty and good portion . It’s very tasty but the price is a bit pricey for a run down restaurant . Miraku at G hotel Gurney has ard the same food and price but the ambience is wayyyy better. Try your best to sit at their air con area bcus their non air con area at the back of the shop smelly terrible in Msian hot weather as it’s reeks of drainage . The staff wasn’t happy when I decline their offer to sit there at first . Tea wasn’t filled up my whole one hr there until I asked for it and it took them a while to service my cup. They are famous for ramen so I’ve heard . Hope they find a better premise if they want more customers as the current one can’t sit many pax at the air con area . Parking is easy at night along the road side .

Tasty authentic Japanese food. It feels like entering japan when I pushed the door open. The whole atmosphere is so different that didn’t expect from the shop front. This is a shop which opened since many years ago. Get more friends to come with you, so u can order more food for sharing. Becuse every dishes look good and I wish I can eat every each of them. Lunch menu is at affordable price, base which maincourse you order. Will definitely come back again, and strongly recommend if you want to dine in a cosy japan atmosphere restaurant.
