From Fhoya... U can walk to this coffee shop called Ping Hooi and have one of Penang's best food. My double room was clean. And the interior design was clean and contemporary so I didn't get those creepy nightmares by staying in an old alter type motel. Cheers

Very beautiful heritage hostel right in the old town of Penang with simple and stylish touches. The room was spacious, had functioning windows, and an air conditioner that worked well. There's no kitchen here just a frig and a hot water maker. There are 4 rooms in the hostel that the owner books mainly through Airbnb. The first set of stairs up to the rooms is very steep and definitely not that safe.

You'd be surprised when you first turn up at this place. Don't expect anything fancy. For the price you pay, I'd say that you got yourself a really good deal. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. Had to share the bathroom but that was fine as it was always clean. Hit Edrian up if you need any help on where to visit and eat. Will be back next time for sure!!

Ok first off, the hotel has a lot of character which is great if you like old historic buildings. It's good value for money and has a shared bathroom which is kept clean. The owner is very polite and friendly and doesn't hesitate to help you. The stairs to the first floor are a little steep however not bad if your spritely. A couple of things we didn't enjoy about the hotel were 1. The amount of mosquitoes that enter your bedroom and bathroom, the bedroom has wooden slats so little gaps for the mossies to squeeze through and also the bathroom seems to have a few, been bitten quite abit, owner does supply some mosquito repellent. 2. In the morning it sounds like we are sleeping next to a factory, loads of saw noises and occasionally someone hocking up and being sick sounds. We ended up adopting some ear plugs. Bit apart from that very happy, great location to get to all of George Town and easy to find.

Old house, well maintained by the owner ! It is quite clean but the room doesn't have windows so heat and insect can get inside !
