Super cool atmosphere 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯 Perfect place to chill out and dance. 💯Recommend.

Nice ambience. Good place just to chill and relax. Life band added an extra star. very good service as well. Really nice cocktails and fresh beer. Can be a bit crowded on a weekend, maybe once fully occupied they should not allow new entries as it could feel a bit congested.

Definitely the best bar on Chulia in my opinion. The outdoor garden seating and the tree with lanterns make it stand out and welcoming. It can't just be my opinion either, as it was always busy and sometimes we just couldn't get in. Beers are pretty standard, but the meals we had there were tasty. Some large TV screens showing nothing much when we were there, and live music was in the offing but probably after my bedtime. Service was OK, but they were very busy.

Nice place to relax and chill..open space enjoy natural air..run when rain come or u want to get wet..haha..enjoy live band and music..dont drink not good for your health..18 and above only..hahaha..just drink fresh juice or can drink...also can eat fries and wedges..very nice...overall nice to lepak-lepak release tension at work...hahahahaha..

It is a nice place for chilling with friends for food and dinner. We tried the octopus pasta, chicken wings, Bailey milk shake, juices, margarita, calamari rings, and soju. The food here is quite good. There is a live band around 9.30pm and they are entertaining. It was happening on the weekends.

Here before in 2018 and glad to be back. Love the outdoor seating. Live band was also good.

Awesome place for a drink. Live band to chill with. The place is filled with Pokok thus the name implies. Very busy and jam-packed but cool vibe! Staff forgot our order probably due to so many people. Music is funky too. Anyway, if you’re up for a drink and love a lively place in Penang this got to be the place to be in!

The Pokok is really a happening place in Penang. There's a four piece live band which is stringing out best rock n roll. There's a long stream of people keep coming in but unfortunately the place is full to bursting point. Everyone is having a blast.

True to its name, a big giant tree lit with bright hanging lanterns greeted us as we descended upon Pokok All Day Bar for the first time. It was a busy Friday night as you can see from the pics, with tables on the ground filled to the brim with tourists and locals alike. All happy, chill & enjoying their drinks while being entertained by the resident band which was surprisingly good. Although food was on menu, we went there strictly for drinks and had no chance to review their food. So the 4/5 rating is strictly for the ambience & service of the place. A bucket of 5 bottles of Tiger was Rm80, pretty decent. We sat upstairs as all available tables on the ground were full. As we walked around the Love Lane/Chulia Street area, Pokok seems to be the most happening place there.

Great place to hang out with outdoor alfresco , they serve draft beers . Don't expect much on cocktails, but beer and bottles are decent prices . Live band every day

Amazing food and vibe. The bar tends to get crowded during weekends. So i would suggest you to use a grab to come here as there will be no parking. Since i went late i had to sit upstairs and the service is a bit slow for the upstairs area due to the crowd below.

Fantastic atmosphere with great live band performances through the night. F&B are on the pricier side but I would pay for the atmosphere.

Stopped in for drinks on a Saturday night. Busy place with a good vibe. Nice outdoor space, live music and good selection of drinks. There is also an upstairs seating area that is covered but the view is not as good. We didn’t order any food but they have a descent selection of bar bites. The drinks are reasonably priced and staff pretty responsive. We did share a table with another couple which was ok for us because otherwise you have to wait longer to get a private table. Overall I would say it’s a cool place to go but nothing overly exciting.

You come here for the lights. The food is really terrible. My friend was tipsy and hungry. And thought that the Peri Peri chicken wasn't good. The prawn noodles was bad. Char kuey teow was bad. Service was good, drinks were mediocre.

[Post Covid-19] Live music is back! Recommended for friends to hangout and enjoy snacks with good cocktails. Tried the Singapore Sling and Popcorn chicken while visiting. Love the live music however it is a tad bit loud so do take note you'll have difficulty conversing with friends.

The Pokok most probably hosts the best band in Penang and it rocks! Super crowded every evening as it attracts the party crowd of Georgetown in the chic Chulia Street area. Simply translated as ‘The Tree’ in Malay, with its hint of naturalistic vibe in the midst of chaotic street attracts a fusion of travellers from tourists to backpackers and locals wanting a fresh and a lively spot to chill with draught beers or freshly made cocktails. A must go destination 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Music from the band was too loud you couldn't sit there. It hurts your ears. Bar was pretty cool though

Came here after dinner in Chulia Street Night market. Hence didn't have the space for extra bite here, so no comment about their food. However, drinking wouldn't be a problem🍻😂 They have live band on Tuesday night, ended around 11pm. Not sure when it started, I was there around 830pm, and they are already performing. Atmosphere is good, not too crowded.

A very nice and happening place for a drink and ppl watching. Come early as otherwise there will be no place left... Except maybe the bar counter. Best part is the band, great singers and performance. Btw, price is reasonable too.

This place has some of the best local bands who play here. Great atmosphere. Staff are quick and efficient when bring drinks & food.

It is a great chill out place. Food was great and live band was good too. Just it was raining when I was there yet they had enough tables covered. Most importantly price was reasonable. Ordered Teriyaki Chiken and Fried Calamari with a bucket Apple Fox cost Rm133.

A great place to stop for a drink. We only had beer and did not eat here. Some of the area is covered in the event of rain, but this is an outdoor venue. Music most nights with a lively crowd. It can get pretty crowded here. They do have a happy hour. Beer is 2 ringgits less. Located on Chulia St.

Great party place in the middle of Heritage Georgetown. It is happening with all the fun and exciting music. It is like an outdoor courtyard bar. The name 'Pokok' meaning Tree is the focal point of the place. The place light up well at night, great atmosphere with plenty of fun if you are having a group of friends with you.

Nice club, visited with my friends to see the night club life 😁 and we spend good time over there. Enjoy time staff also good and corporative.

Went there for a chill drinking session. End up getting to listen to an awesome live band. I have no idea who that lady was today. But she was freaking awesome. I had an amazing time with my friends. From the comments I see this place always has live bands so if it is always this good. I can really recommend people to visit this place.

Chilling environment with very good live band that makes the place so lively. Beverages are reasonably priced, limited food/snacks variety. Friendly and attentive staff BUT none of them wears face mask. (Except one female food server 👍) SOP not observed especially at the bar counter seating. The pokokloco and the mojitos are very diluted. Too much shaved ice and not enough flavour. Wanted to have more but quality doubtful. Bartenders do not wear mask. Following the SOP is important esp from the staffs.
