𝐀 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 Dhammikarama Burmese Temple in George Town, Penang. Coming here, the peaceful space will make us absolutely relax. Taking time to wander around the complex, explore the significant Burmese architecture, or even admire the paintings about Lord Buddha’s life story. For me, the golden stupas can be considered as a super mini copy of Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Burma.

I loved the atmosphere here. I have never been to Myanmar before but visiting this temple made me want to someday. I loved that I could feel the history from the well that was being used long time ago, and I also loved that ancient Buddhas from all other Asian countries including Japan are there. Such a beautiful place to visit. They have benches under the roof so if you are tired you can take some rest too.

Last visit was 13+ years ago. This temple is much more beautiful than the Thai temple and bigger? Spend more than an hr walking through the various buildings in this site. If you missed the Thai temple after 4pm you can come over to visit till 5.30pm. If have time should walk up the pagoda at the back of the main temple.

A Burmese Temple complex, just across the road from the Thai Temple complex, so the two can be seen one after the other, provided you are not 'templed out.' A splendid collection of Burmese Temple buildings set out in a garden area with water areas. Very photogenic.

An incredibly beautiful and quiet burmese buddhist temple in Georgetow, right in front of the thai buddhist temple Chaiya Mangalaram. Both are stunning and worth to check. I do recommend to visit early in the morning before it gets toot hot.

A Therawada Budhist temple. Very calm and peaceful place. Beautiful and colourful architecture. Came here to offer food danna to the Monks. Food danna is at 11am. Close at 2pm during the pandemic period.

Absolutely stunning temple in the heart of Georgetown. Beautiful temples, statues and leafy surrounds. It’s so peaceful and a great spot to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Short GoGrab from town or a 30-45 minute walk if you can put up with the heat and sunshine

This Burmese Temple is full of activities for good luck! Start clockwise and follow the written directions. Although close to the main road it is peaceful. Buy the handmade healing artefacts from the monks and chat them up they love practising their English skills

An absolutely beautiful temple. I was amazed at how reverently everything had been set with Buddha in the main hall and all his disciples in various other buildings. Worth a walk around to read some pictures in the walkway leading to the main hall, where there are stories of Buddha and how his teachings were spread by others.

The Burmese Buddhist Temple was just located opposite the Thai Buddhist Temple - Wat Chayamangkalaram at Pulau Tikus - George Town, Penang. This temple was established as a monastery & serves as a retreat for Buddhist devotee, with a monks' quarters, a preceptees' lodge and a library within the temple grounds. Numerous statues of the Buddha and mythical creatures such as elephants, fishes and the garuda to symbolise the "three realms of land, air and sea" are scattered within the temple, including a pair of winged chimeras known as Panca Rupa (the Guardian Protectors of the World) and a huge mural depicting the Renunciation of the Buddha. This temple looks humble and tranquil, it may not lavish as the Thai Buddhist Temple across the road. However, it has that aura of serenity.

Good to see the architecture of the temple. It was too crowded when I visited, despite the week day.

One of the must visit places in Penang. The place is very quiet and tranquil and separate buildings for separate purposes. In the main building behind the sitting Buddha statue a series of Buddha statues are there representing faces and appearances of the Buddha from different Asian countries, like Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Beautiful Burmese temple that shows a variety of Buddha statues from different parts of Asia, as well as the life history of Siddharta Gautama Buddha. Exquisite wood carvings as well on the ceiling.

The temple is organised into a few sections. Main praying hall with a giantic buddha statue. Deeper in, there is also a bell tower and a pond with koi fish. A monk will also avail himself if you require a prayer service. You can also hang notes onto a money tree.

It is a historical buddisht temple. It is a nice place to visit if you want to know more about Buddhism. Inside has a series of painting and life stories of Siddhārtha Gautama (Buddha).

Very calming to stop by, especially on weekend when the Thai temple across the street is packed. Beautiful architecture and the way they incorporated a park in the premises is amazing. Don't forget to stop by the Sasana Vamsa Sima Shrine next door to see the Standing Buddha.

Loved this place because of my bias for wildlife. There was a Little Spiderhunter nesting in the grounds and they came really to me. Funny how animals seem to know the divinity of the temple.
