You'll have the chance to design your own glass, and get to know brief process of creating those glass arts. They have a lot of amazing glass sculpture, batik, animals and so on.. spent around 2 hours in here because we're keen to self design the glass. The photographers can help + guide you to take photos. Overall, nice place to hang out with family & friends. And it test your creativity 😆

We had a freaking BLAST here!!! Joyce and Xingwei were both so helpful and fun. The entrance price includes designing your own bottle that is already glass blown and you get to take home. And there are a bunch of instagrammable spots upstairs where they’ll take you on a personal tour after you’re done being creative. 10/10 experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon in Penang!!

Cool place for exploring the wonders of glass with some great displays and you can check out your artistic side by painting a glass display which you can take home. Nice friendly and helpful staff making it a great experience and also fun team building experience.

Really worth the 30MYR! The highlight is really the custom glass bottle that you can design yourself and bring home! We can copy their templates or make our own and it was so fun! I asked so many questions and they answered everything! We sat beside their glass making factory where temperatures can reach really high and they use recycled or bought glass items to remake into new goods! You I would love to see their glass blowing or pay for a glass blowing workshop if they host one in the future :) The actual museum itself is a fun little bit of exploring optical illusions and the record holder of Malaysia's longest glass painting (I think). The staff is really kind to wait for us to finish designing our bottles and guide us through and even help us take photos! The 2nd storey I find most interesting. Beautiful paintings of scenery, animals, and characters like Goku! The staff said I can touch it, especially the back of the painting where you can feel the grooves of every handiwork! I saw interior designs for bedrooms and toilets so I guess you can buy or make a custom glass for your house! You can also buy their beautiful glass bottles, or even a working clock on a bottle! There are also plenty of merchandise available in thejr extensive shop like glass cups, keychains, displays, vases, etc.

There will give visitors a briefing on how to produce a glass art. We can even try to made a simple one. They combine glass art with illusion and 3D art. Staffs are friendly. Souvenir shops and photo staff too. I came here from swettenham pier port with 6 seats' grab with only 8 RM. Ticket fare is on photo.

To be honest, it's just a building with different types, shapes, designs and colours of glass. There is also lot's of artwork, paintings and sculptures. If you're a glass collector or an art enthusiast then this is the place to be but for an average person like me it's just okay...

Quite an interesting place to visit as can DIY a piece of glass souvenir. Fare rate. Besides the glass souvenir,3D pictures might be a good attraction for those who like to take photos. Can get a cheaper ticket with klook.

highlight of our trip here in Penang! the whole experience was also pure fun. RM30 for both museum trip and a custom souvenir. staff were super nice and answered all our questions. there was also a guided tour where a staff member helped us take photos and explained certain exhibits to us. place is also home to the longest glass batik apparently ! there were Guinness world records certs displayed on the walls on the second floor. I spent way too long on my souvenir pls but they were super patient with me. I can see how this museum may be boring for adults (just displays and painting) but girl I’m a child at heart this was FUN.

It was a really fun experience, as it was our first time to a glass museum. We made our own glass souvenir.! The staff gave us a little introduction on the melting process of the glass bottle to this flat state. Did some drawing, and painting. After which, we headed up to level 2 where the museum was at. Exhibits were rather interesting, but it wasn’t a very big exhibition. Interesting experience!

Went there this morning, they do explain some things about glass and give each person a small piece of glass which you can either make your own design or use a premade template,I am bad at arts and crafts so I used the template and it still turned out looking bad😂,the top floor is interesting, there's a room with UV lights and UV fluorescent paint on the glass,if you are hot and going into that room, just sit on the wall facing the door(look at 2nd picture),the aircond is just blasting cold air!,there's also some glass illusion things that the staff will explain, there's one that can supposedly swap faces, one that has a illusion where it looks like your looking into someone's eye and much more!

Ticket pricing RM30 per person (regardless children or adult), no reservation needed for group less than 10 person. You will be guided to do the glass decor painting (included in the entry ticket) once you enter~ the staff around are friendly and helpful. A place good for experiencing some art making, but if you aiming for sightseeing, then the gallery upstairs might consider not much to see. Yet, it is still good place to visit for family day out.

Enjoyed our time here. The ticket was RM30 per person and we got to do glass art and explore the museum. It wasn't that crowded when we went there despite the school holidays. One of the docents showed us around the museum and she was very friendly and snapped some photos for us as well. I would recommend this activity in Penang if you love snapping photos, visiting museums, art lovers or even if you are just bringing the kids around on a trip.

Like all creative art craft museums, I haven't been to a glass one, what more the first in our country, definitely must support if it's that fascinating as promoted. Well, yours truly for the build up designs and everyone so excited to harmonise themselves with each unique designs exhibited:nature, horror, heavenly and so on. We joined their free, guided glass crafting (non colored free, colored add RM5) and it's limited choice to make one unless you willing to pay more. You can also purchase all types of glassware except be careful on other non glass souvenirs, we stumbled into a poor quality squeeze ball (RM20). For local visitors, get used to nagging and inquisitive elderly craft guide, ha ha. If I almost same generation commented, what about younger ones..

This is an interesting place, where we get to experience the different types of art and exhibitions that blow our mind. The part where we get to design our own art is what attracted a lot of people.

The staffs are friendly and helpful. They will give you a piece of glass, carve whatever you like on the sticker and the staff will help carving on the glass. The place is small in area, only a few places to take photos but it's awesome especially the Avatar room.

Glass Museum Penang is a good place to learn about glass making, create your own glass souvenir, shop for quality glass items and take fun photos with some glass-themed 3D art. Step into the fantastic Glass Museum Penang, the first ever museum of glass in Malaysia and home to the longest batik motif glass painting - both feats certified under the Malaysian Book of Records.

Went to Glass Museum Penang with my 2children for the glass painting experience. Overall experience was a good one except that we were charged RM60 for 1 adult, 1children (7years old) for entrance fee + glass painting (can be brought home as souvenir). Was confused because the entrance fee stated online was RM17 for adult with mykad and RM9 for children.

(Translated by Google) The only glass museum in Penang, but it is a small glass factory. It feels like it is easy to show people and explain that the entry fee is so expensive and expensive. Then the people there have been urging to make glass, and it feels like they have been asking you to finish the work quickly (and there are a lot of restrictions, you can't process patterns by yourself when you take a template, put a color and add 5 pieces). If you want to add money, drill a hole and string a rope for 5 yuan and 5 yuan to jump. . . The second floor is actually good, you can take pictures and watch glass art, but it's not big. It's over in two or two. They make most of the places to buy all kinds of groceries, and the price is a bit high. I was expecting some blown glass and three-dimensional glass sculptures. Sigh, I really feel that the admission ticket is not worth it.

I feel like it's really just made to be a museum to sell stuffs. There are glass artworks on displays but I've been better ones. There is a mini tour on how they make glass artwork but the mini workshop that came after it, you'll have to shell out additional money.
