Attended the B.I.T. Day talk sponsored by Yenher Group and gonna say it's definitely a good hotel for business conferences, talks and meetings. The only downside was their food. Cold spaghetti toppings or sauce, tea and even dim sum does it for me. If you're a picky eater or consider yourself as a fresh food eater, it's best you went outside to have your meals. The hotel service and hospitality is nice. Room was awesome. Location wise, it's close to a lot of restaurant, bars and even stores so you can get toiletries and stuffs you need if the hotel complimentary ones aren't to your liking. Enjoy your stay 👌

Not going to lie. From the outside, I almost did not want to go in. The outside looked like an abandoned hotel. But as I walked in, honestly the inside was luxurious. The outside did not do justice to whats inside. The reception staffs were great in fact all staffs were so welcoming. The room was big and comfy even the reception staff called to ask if everything was ok. Toilet was massive. Breakfast spread was superb. Worth everything cents spent on this hotel.

Our family favourite place for takeaway meals. Food delicious, cheese cake yummy and value for money. Staff was very courteous and apologized for keeping me waiting despite my mistake for giving him wrong order name. Kudos to all the chefs and staff for the yummy food , excellent and friendly service : give your order name n wait in car. The staff will deliver the food to you. Good SOP practice by them .. Keep it up...

Very well maintained despite its age. All of the staff - room service, restaurant, receptionist - are very friendly and efficient. Rooms have fans which is a big plus point for me. Will always return again.

Originally booked for Superior Twin Bed Room. But since the room has not been prepared yet, we waited for about half an hour before we got free upgrade to the Deluxe Room. The room is a nice little cozy living place. Not too spacious, but also not too cramp. Still got ample space to perform Muslim prayer. And most importantly, it was comfortable and clean. No stain, rust or any eyesores visible. The location was superb. Just a 5-10 minutes walking distance to the nearby core heritage zone. No need to drive.

Located nearby the chowrasta market, line clear nasi kandar and hammediyah. Stay at double room, just nice size of room with bathtub, beautiful renovated room,just the toilet looks old. Got a room with nice seaview. Have big variety of breaksfast. However the cleanliness still can ve improve,i found hair and cookies on carpet

During my stay, the check in queue was quite long as many guest were coming in at the same time. At first, there were only 2 staff at the lobby counter which was not enough to speed up the process and I had to wait for about 30 minutes for my turn. Then, later came another staff to open a new counter for check in. My suggestion is that they should standby and anticipate the peak hours for check in. It means a lot to the guest if the check in process is a fast process. By the way, my room was a deluxe room still not renovated yet and I can smell the old carpet stench at first entering the room.

Overall service by the staffs was quick, good, and friendly from check-in til check-out. The rooms we got was clean and properly maintained. The location is ideal for those wanting to explore George Town on foot, and the availability of adequate parking within the hotel premises is a plus point. Will definitely be the choice of accomodations the next time I'm back in town.

I had a 4D3N stay at Cititel, and I must say it was a 4-star hotel with a 5-star experience. The hotel is old, but the recently refurbished room was clean and cosy, location is great, service was fantastic. What more could I have asked for? Requests during our stay were attended to very promptly, staff were friendly down to housekeeping. We were pleasantly surprised upon entering the room one afternoon and found a cute little doggie made out of towels and a thank you note. (Thank you Encik Azhar). Only thing was the leak in the bathroom that left the floor constantly wet, but the staff were helpful enough to try and fix it.

Stayed here about a week ago.... lovely location, smack in the centre of Georgetown..... Average 4star hotel, clearly aged from the outside ( it's actually like a 40+ year old hotel)...... however once you step in you are blown away.....grand lobby, immaculately clean entertainment lounge and rooms.....staff are ever so polite . Pool on the 3rd floor is a little small for me personally.....but other then that....this place is amazing for it's price range.......

Our stay with Cititel Penang was nothing less then memorable.. we arrived 3hrs before check-in after a long flight with lay-over, and the staff proceeded to check us in early. We were welcomed with a beautiful sea view room with a nice generous spaced room. Some amenities was dated and we had problems with the plumbing in the shower as every time after a shower with shower curtains the floor would be like a swimming pool. The window on top of the toilet facing towards the room made it uncomfortable if you were up early before sunrise to get ready while the other was still sleeping. Other then these minor issues the room was great with very attentive staff. Will definitely recommend and will be back again with my family next time. Thank you very much for making our first trip after Covid a memorable one.

For the price we paid, this hotel is excellent. Surrounding areas comprised of nasi kandar line clear, hameediah, chowrasta, roti canai jalan argyll etc. When we checked in, the front desk overlooked one of our requests, and because of that we got an upgrade for our room. The indoor pool was not big but nice especially with the jacuzzi feature. As we had to book to swim, we had the pool all to ourselves. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities, making it a comfortable stay. There are plenty of parking places at multi-level parking and also at the ground. Surrounded with many 24 hours convenience-retailing store. Plenty of local foods nearby, heaven for foodies. Large selections of local cuisine for breakfast. we stayed in this Hotel for 4 nights. I,m hoping that the hotel management are fully aware, and value their amazing staff. From the doorman to the front of office, kitchen staff, and cleaning staff, they were without exception so friendly and welcoming. To all of them, a sincere thank you for making it such a memorable stay. The hotel itself. Wonderful location. Room was very clean and appealing, the shower is great. Do pay the extra for the breakfast. It is large with lots of variety and top quality. We wouldn,t want to stay anywhere else if we return. 10/10 for us.

Hotel breakfast was disappointing in quality and choices in what otherwise would have been the perfect experience, but you can easily get better food nearby. Additional bits- - Room does not reek of cigarette smell. - Bedsheets looked clean and soft (comfortable). - Quiet and walls are not thin. - Equipments in the gym are in fine and working condition. - Covered pool area, clean water, towels ready on-site. - Friendly and helpful staffs. - Room price is fair if you book early at the right platform.

From the time of check-in until the time of check-out, the personnel provided prompt, courteous, and polite service. We were able to clean and maintain the accommodation. Because there are plenty of parking places on the hotel grounds, this location is excellent for people who prefer to explore George Town on foot. Furthermore to a convenient location in the heart of the city and a short distance from Padang Kota and Art Street. When I come back to town, this will unquestionably be a top choice for lodging.

This hotel is a true gem. My check-in process was pleasant and quick. The hotel breakfast was fantastic; there were so many options. The personnel was what really stood out to me about this hotel. Every single member of staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, made a point of greeting visitors.

First, Cititel (Penang) is rebuilding after COVID. I've stayed here before but this visit was a very enjoyable experience. Cleanliness standards were exceptional, personal at the front desk and when you arrived went out of there way to make you feel comfortable . I selected the Deluxe King with the breakfast buffet and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms were refurbished, the food was great and the service personnel made you feel like a king. The excersise room had all new machines and you could watch TV or look out over the pool.

The good: There’s free parking provided for guests but car park is quite congested, quite a busy hotel with many guests around the lobby, the room is decent but may have aged a little by the looks of it, breakfast so so, great view from the room overlooking the ocean The bad: The room looks a bit old but clean, the lighting is a bit funny also and it’s either too dark or too bright, during the last hour of breakfast time, they don’t really refill the food so please make sure to be early, there’s many kinds of guests staying at this hotel thus don’t be surprised if you encounter weird behaviour. Overall, I am a little disappointed staying at this hotel as I was looking forward to the room ambience and breakfast. Both were below my expectation although nothing bad happened. Would have liked it if the management is nice enough to put in some finishing touches such as upgrading of some furnitures or anything to make the hotel look more pleasant.

Walkable to almost all the major tourist spots. Centrally located. Rooms are spacious enough, not so big. Room amenities are OKish. They fill all the dispensers of Hand Wash, Shampoo & Body wash with the same liquid. However, they provide the bottles for Body Wash & Shampoo separately. Breakfast has the standard menu. No changes to it on any day.

Currently staying at Cititel Penang. Leaving tomorrow but been here for about 5 days. Love it. Walking into this place you feel like you've spent more than you have. The staff are welcoming and efficient. The service has been great. The breakfast buffet is really good as well. Been very happy with the food. All in all it has been a big part of making my Penang stay absolutely awesome. Only thing that could make it nicer is if they weren't all wearing masks. I'll never get used to that. All in all I and my son are very happy with it.

Amazing value for an amazing room, after ingot messed around with another accommodation option I won't name here, after being awake for 36 hours and tired and grumpy, what an amazing breathe of fresh air this place was. Super easy off street parking, great location and I scored second from the top floor for a ridiculously great value price. Will definitely be back that's for sure.

The hospitality that we received at Citiel Penang hotel has truly warmed our hearts. Special thanks to the front desk officer Mr Bani for his excellent level of service, with him even wishing me a Happy Birthday when we returned from a day's outing. Such a level of amicability is rare even amongst all my past travels. Mr Bani even went the extra mile to have cutlery sent to my room within moments of my request. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit.

We had a wonderful stay here.The hotel is just walking distance for most of the attractions and eateries. The ambience of the lobby is welcoming. The walkway to the room is well lit, and the diffuser outside the lift lobby leads to the room ,giving a relaxing mood. Excellent service quality from the front desk staff. Especially Mr. Bani is so helpful, and the service hospitality that he gave us is beyond expectation. He is very knowledgeable and such a warm person. The concierge Mr Zabidi is outstanding 👏🏽 with his repo towards the hotel guests, making it so enjoyable time while waiting for the room or ride. Lastly, I look forward to our future stay here 😊

Excellent property in the center of sights and foodie delights in Georgetown. Friendly, efficient and polite staff. Check in was easy, we got a complimentary upgrade from superior to deluxe room on a high floor with lovely view of the sea and the E&O Hotel. Free indoor parking at the property and free breakfast was included. We stayed for 2 nights, walked several miles each day and also took the free CAT bus around town. The bus stop is less than 100 feet away! Highly recommended. Got a good deal on Agoda.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks. My parents enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The food service staff are wonderful, especially the manager Jerry Yeoh who took care of customers really well, he is very warm and helpful. Room service also very good. Everyone is so courteous and hospitable. We enjoyed the Chinese new year lion dance at the hotel. We will come back again.

Your Vaxx Vacay is a SCAM/SPAM. Your Best Rate is at RM128 per night but when you promote the Vaxx Vacay your first night be rate increased to RM154 and your second night 50% is based on RM154. Is this not a SCAM/SPAM? This applies across the board for CHM group of hotels with the Vaxx Vacay (so called promo).

Love the room environment after their renovation. The view was nice. Unfortunately couldn't stay up to 3 people in 1 room and have to be seperated. No connecting room too. But anyhow strategic place to walk around for food hunting.

One of the best hotels ive been to. All the facilities are so nice ! Customer service is great and the view is spectacular ! Its even more convenient since you can walk to many places as it is near the hotel itself. However, the parking might be a bit limited on weekends :)

Room design is old compared to other hotels in Penang but it is clean and comfortable. Room I stayed in has a vintage 90s National ceiling fan with regulator at the bedside which my old house used to have that still works.

Being a penang born and already relocated to KL, I have always love Penang and come back for holidays. Cititel Penang surprised me by maintaining the hotel immaculately clean and comfortable to stay despite the old age. The rooms has been refurbished. it is compact, clean and give me a good sleep. For the facilities, I always go hotels for swimming pool and gym room. The gym room is tip-top condition. Well done. The pool looks clean despite the small size (no complain). But I noticed there are guests gone in the pool with house wear such as Tshirts, pants, and also there is one lady accidentally went in with slippers on without realizing. I decided not to use the pool upon seeing all these. Overall, I like Cititel Penang. will come back again.

Very easy to walk about from Cititel. The staff are courteous and helpful, and the Lil gift shop in the lobby is well stocked at reasonable prices. Breakfast here was exactly what I was hoping for.

The room was a bit dated but large and with plenty of storage for our luggages. Sadly we didn't have time to try the spa, but the swimming pool was great after a hot day. The breakfast was fantastic and the local shops very affordable. We walk to the town center and came back at night without any issues.

Very enjoyable stay in a good, central (and walkable) location. Staff were all super friendly. The newly renovated rooms were great. I wish we had gotten the breakfast included rate to check that out. Views from the rooms are probably ALL fantastic, given the height and orientation of the building. Pool and fitness was a little underwhelming... Kind of stuffy, and no big views like others offer. Overall, a very nice stay.
