Very well done up cafe. Met up here for a chat with a friend. The flat white was pretty good, though I've had better. Came with a cute Christmas cookie. My wife had the Cinnamon and Spice tea which was fragrant and very well served. The place is quite busy, so not that unknown really, but not noisy and has quite a wide choice of drinks and food. We'll probably try the food at some other time. Enjoyed this place ☺.

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience here. I don’t even know why this place gets so many good reviews because : 1) Service: Almost none except to place menu & cutlery on the table n serving food with almost no conversation at all. The servers don’t even look awake for the lack of word. No apologies when food was served late. As my husband said, the place lacks soul. 2) Drinks: the flat white was soooo milky (see photo) with very little taste of coffee. Also took them a long time just to make it. 3) Food: you would think that with 2 ppl ordering food, at least there’s a 50% success rate but nope, it was complete failure. The peanut butter French toast was so dry and definitively don’t recommend it at all. I had to wait more than 40 mins before tomyam bisque was served, n that is after following up with them. It tasted like half the tomyam paste fell into the soup, extremely salty, not to mention there’s no fish tenders in it too (it was mentioned in the menu). Another one which u shouldn’t order too. Definitely don’t feel like coming back here again despite the tantalising looking menu. Overpromised, under delivered.

I like the breakfast menu served. Unfortunately I don't have the chance to try other food as they are only available at 12 pm onwards 😭. 1) Service is excellent. They asked for feedback to improve. 2) Large portions of food and a variety of choices for drinks especially coffee lovers. I would recommend to try out their drinks Downside 1) Not many varieties of desserts 2) The atmosphere is so so 3) Parking is kinda hard to find

Absolutely wonderful place. Aesthetically pleasing, the food was beautifully presented and all was delicious. A little on the high end in pricing but honestly worth it. Will definitely visit again when I'm in town!

We ordered about 5 dishes to share between the three of us. The best would be the mala salmon squid ink pasta - great flavour, nice texture on the pasta and the mala sauce on the salmon gives a nice kick that is not overwhelming. A bit disappointed with the grilled lamb shoulder with chimmichuri sauce since it's got a good flavour but the lamb was tough to cut and chew. Tomyam bisque is good, borderline average but the seafood in the bisque really complemented the flavour. The chicken gyōza is also good. Salmon tataki salad is my lowest rated dish as the salmon slices were thin and the dressing was too sweet with no acid to balance it out. I ordered the Jasmine creme tea and super berries tea(?) and loved them both. My friend absolutely loved the tiramisu coffee. The service was good and food came out at good timing. Overall a good experience.

Was suggested by a friend to visit, and I cannot believe how good it is. Amazing food, choices and atmosphere. At such a reasonable rate. Its clean and spacious. We ordered black sesame coffee and I would definitely come back for that. Their food is light and tasty.

Beautiful olive green cosy cafe! Great food, & ambience. However the service and staff were a bit slow when ordering online and our order wasn’t submitted. Portions were extremely big, highly recommend visiting Unknown cafe, will come again soon!

Visited the 'Unknown Coffeeshop Penang,' and it's a great find for those looking for a Muslim-friendly cafe with no pork or lard. They offer a wide variety of food and drinks. Although I had already had breakfast, the menu had so many tempting options. It's an ideal spot for hanging out with friends or family. I tried the 'Foamy Cafe,' which is a dopio espresso with water, topped with green grapes – absolutely loved it! My friend had the Granny Smith apple juice, which was fresh and delicious, and we rounded off with the daily black sesame. Can't wait to return and explore more of their lovely designed interior and menu.

Totally love kampung egg & sourdough roti basket. Their garlic butter is very special. Thanks Shermaine for your special attendee & excellent service to us.

Good food! Delicious, muslim friendly (no halal certificate for store but halal ingredients, no pork). Took a while to get my drinks but everything else was good!

Variety of choices, delicious however it's on the pricer side than most cafes, free WiFi is provided, & aesthetic interior.

Love the environment and ambient here. Easy to find parking at nearby shoplot during dinner time. Kid friendly, balance nutrient, along with free toy with kids meal. No need to wait for long after orders are made. Food are flavorful and tasty. Recommended.
