Sorry to say but the service were bad and when the food have arrived, the portion are too small(like 3-4 feeds only). We ordered Char Koay Teow for RM12/plate but the taste are salty and the portion were too small. When the owner came, he just asked us back. Is it not worthy with the price and they put that portion due to most of people would feel tired/sick if the portion is large. The price was not reasonable. Did not recommend to visit.

Second time for dinner at Pak Mid Café at Batu Ferringhi Penang. Food quality and presentation worse than last visit a year ago. Ordered: Laksa - not available because the cook is on leave. Sup Tulang - not available because of a landslide to the source according to restaurant owner. Finally ordered: Char Koay Teow - portion was small, salty and watery. RM12.00 Sup Ayam and a plate of rice - Chicken Sup salty and plain. Rice served on plastic blue plate. RM12.00 + RM3.00 Nasi Goreng Kampung - Good but a bit salty. RM10.00 Sirap Laici - Lychee all chopped up. Teh Laici - Not available. Last bits of lychee already used up for the Sirap Laici order. (Seems like nobody did the inventory to stock up cans of lychee.) Limau Ais - Ok. Kopi Ais - Ok. When paying at the counter, cashier asked me to tell him what I had ordered. Because waitress did not write down the order on a piece of paper and pass it to the cashier counter. Verdict - Not highly recommended. Pak Mid Café is a poor representation of the true taste of the dishes offered. Pak Mid Café despite its good ambience, unfortunately, served food like in a roadside stall. Price of food as shown in the menu is overpriced. Definitely not value for your money.

Located just opposite Hard Rock Hotel, roadside and easily identifiable from its bright light and huge signboard. Busy restaurant when we visited during dinner time at around 8.30pm on weekday. Price is higher compared to similar food at other restaurants, perhaps charging premium for its location and decoration. The headache inducing music played is to too loud and not to our liking. Alot of items in the menu are not available. Food taste is ok but drinks can be a lot better. We were seated near to the kitchen and staff is making some weird sound e.g shouting loudly for no apparent reason.

The noodles ordered were not taste good at all. We also tried Tom Yum served in coconut as recommended by the waiter and it is not a good Tom Yum. Food price is tourist pricey. Service is okay although twice wrong order sent to our table.

Nasi goreng kampung ok lah.. not bad Mee udang ok jugalah... Udang tu fresh. Fried rice village not bad Strimps noodles was fresh but not hot enough.

I give 4.5*. We took a gamble trying the place and not disappointed. Foodwise: tasty & fresh seafood. Price: satay was priced well. Other seafood can be slightly higher than average but it’s tourists place so cannot complain much. Make sure you ask the food price before confirming the order to avoid frustration later. Location: strategic. Parking: provided and was easy to park the car considering how jam packed Batu Feringgi area is. Amenities: great. Toilet is clean and has surau. Services: friendly waitress attended us. Great food recommendation by other staff also. Our siakap bakar was tasty. The omelette & kangkung belacan completed the meal. the kerang was fresh and still alive. Ask them kicap + cili api + garlic to pair with the kerang bakar and you will not be disappointed. We chose table with swing, and enjoyed our food freely although waiting time was a bit long to get our food due to crowd.

Overpriced not so good 2 piece prawn charkuetiow of rm15. understand tourist place but ridiculous price of food and taste and portion

Best breakfast I can remember, the roti canai is to die for. Very friendly and good service, amazingly flavorful curries, delicious teh tarik.

F&B quality doesn't match the price for both taste & presentation. It's just average. Atmosphere is quite nice, but maybe that's why the prices are hiked so high for basic flavour. There are better food options other than this restaurant. Food quality has to improve so that prices are justified here. Service is alright though, so there's that.
