Came here during lunch hour, the place was full but managed to get a table shortly after we arrived. Waiter will pass you the menu at the table but you'll have to make order and pay at the cashier. Tried the Tomyam fried rice with ayam goreng, shrimp chilli chicken chop with QQ noodles. The fried chicken was crispy and savoury. It was sizeable as well. The Tomyam fried rice plate also includes crispy anchovies, cucumber, hard boiled egg, roasted peanuts and sambal. Just like a nasi lemak ayam goreng set but the rice is Tomyam flavoured fried rice. The chicken chop was delicious as well, albeit a tad spicy for children and those who can't handle hot and spicy food. The batter taste is similar to kfc hot and spicy chicken taste. The noodle is dry tossed in soy sauce. The chili paste adds flavour and spiciness to the noodle dish. The cold milk coffee was strong and aromatic. Perfect for those who love strong dark roast bold coffee flavour. The dining area was clean and staff was swift to tend to patrons' needs. The male waiters and cashier were friendly and polite. Payment method only accepts cash and e-wallet/qr transfer. Card payment is not available.

Their coffee is very fragrant and thick. Coffee-lovers would love their coffee. We also tried their turmeric fried rice with chicken chop and some side dishes such as chicken lo bak & butter sugar roti. They taste not bad as well. Besides, their service is also good. The waitress at the counter answered and explained to every single question from us with patience. However, there was an incident which made us feel not so comfortable. We ordered our food in a few orders and they missed out one of our orders. When we voiced out to them, they insisted that they had served the food to us. After some arguments and further checking, then only they realised that they really haven't served it. But overall, this is a chill place for gathering and chit chatting with good food and coffee. Love the deco in the cafe.

I recently visited SBK Coffee for lunch and had an average dining experience. Here's a breakdown of my visit: Arriving just before 1pm, I was pleased to find the place full but managed to secure a seat within a short wait of only 5 minutes. The waitress who served us was friendly and promptly handed us the menu. She also took the time to enthusiastically recommend popular items from the menu. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, with its typical Peranakan tiles, marble top tables, and stools. The air conditioning kept the atmosphere comfortably chilled. However, I found that some patrons spoke loudly, which unfortunately disturbed the otherwise nice environment. Moving on to the food, I found it to be just average. The Tom Yam fried rice was disappointingly dry, but fortunately, the sambal prawns provided some much-needed moisture and flavor. The fried chicken chop noodles seemed like a basic instant noodle dish, something that I could easily make at home. The Kaya Roti toast lacked butter and used margarine instead, likely Planta. The toast itself was thick and dry, and I wished the kaya spread had been more generous. On a positive note, the Curry Fish balls had a thick gravy and were quite enjoyable, while the Lor Bak was passable. The coffee and tea were served without ice, which was a nice touch. Overall, I found the prices at SBK Coffee to be a little on the higher side. For a meal for two people, the total bill came to RM80+. Comparatively, they are significantly more expensive than places like Old Town, which offer similar food options. In summary, my experience at SBK Coffee was average. While the ambience was nice and the service friendly, the food fell short of expectations, with some dishes being dry or lacking flavor. Considering the relatively higher prices, I felt that the overall value was not as good as other establishments offering similar cuisine.

Store close to the roastery of the Penang SBK Coffee. Have a extensive menu for eats to go along with their signature drinks.

Food was good. They are very generous with the nasi lemak sambal. Coffee was decent. Milk tea was decent. Kaya butter toast was decent. Place is clean and air-conditioned. Place can be noisy when crowded. Need to order food and pay at the counter.

Seen such a good review and decided to give it a try. Originated from a coffee bean roster and now an eatery business. There are many varieties of food to choose from but these choices are limited to non soup based. Malaysian breakfast menu I would say, nasi lemak, half boil eggs, roti canai. Speaking of roti canai, I ordered this today. A set with curry chicken. Aromatic curry and now watery gravy. Potatoes are wedges style ya. From my observations, the roti are not made fresh. I may be wrong but probably 10% wrong.😁 Toast bread with butter and kaya is recommended simply because kaya is not sweet and home made style. Air-conditioned , clean and fast service. Very friendly staffs. Note: non halal

SBK is a renowned local brand to grab your coffee powder from as souvenirs (would recommend their black coffee). Aside from which, you are able to dine-in here. They do offer a very diverse menu for you to choose from. Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Wing was what I ordered, rice itself lacks the coconut flavor, the sambal alongside their anchovies and peanuts are great accompaniment in the dish, while the main star is still the chicken wing itself being perfectly crisp and marinated.

The food is nice, waiter is nice, atmosphere is nice. Quite a nice place to have a breakfast and lunch for. The portion is bigger than average I would say and there is also free plain water if you are not a coffee lover. Would like to visit again for their coffee.

Went for the first time today as I wanted to support penang business. Ordered a fried chicken nasi lemak with cold kopi (RM21). Coffee: The cold kopi tasted a bit powdery and too sweet for me as a coffee lover. Got to know from the waitress that the cold kopi comes without ice as it is pre-brewed in advance and chill in fridge. Perhaps thats the reason why it tasted powdery instead of smooth texture (might be due to the acidic from the coffee causes the evaporated milk to curdle when kept for certain period), this can be improve if the business owner look into it. Food: Below my expectation. Fried chicken is kind of dry and the chilli will be much better wit slightly more rempah taste. Services: I have to give a thumbs up for their service crew, my personal experience with them was really positive. Friendly, patient and helpful. Personal verdict: I would go back again to try their hot coffee the next round as I really hope local coffee maker can outshine the rest one day and am willing to give another chance.

The coffee was amazing. Really good authentic roasted flavor. One of my favorite coffees in Penang. I also got the Ayam Nasi Lemak which was good. Good authentic Malaysian food but I would say come for the coffee.
