It's a nice place with good ambience to treat someone out with vegetarian food, I find the food and place awesome! However, one humble suggestions would be to use inhouse glass or cup for juices, instead of disposable plastic container, which I find it alittle anti climax for a green place to dine in at. Hope this can be taken as suggestion, for a greener earth. Thanks again for the very perfect food.

Super tasty food and a really nice quiet environment. The pumpkin wedges were surprisingly good and the fried mushrooms were nice and not overly oily or salty.

As a vegan , I highly recommend this restaurant as they serve plenty of delish vegan dishes with reasonable price. We had vegan cheese pasta, mushroom chop with salsa sauce,kimchi fried rice and mushroom balls. All the above meals were so good. Will definitely bring my non vegan friends next time!!

Happy to come back to this one again. I ordered the Vegan Fish & Kimchi Rice. The food is very realistic. It’s just like the real thing. Orange Juice was served about ten minutes after the food and I was quite disappointed with that. But overall, happy with the food and service. I recommend it.

You can enjoy healthy meal here even it is not the nine emperor's vegan days. Love the fried mushroom, porridge and the specialty- pumpkin pasta. Pasta that cooked in pumpkin puree totally gives me a refreshing feel. Other that the traditional one- aglio olio, I think i will re-order it on my next visit.

Vegetarian cafe with foods that might look healthy but tasty. Green Porridge - The green color might be off putting but it is a very comforting dish that is tasty with a surprisingly creamy taste. Does not taste like vegetables Fish Mee Hoon Soup - Comforting soup with nicely fried fish slices Black Sesame Soy Beancurd - Surprisingly good dessert. The black sesame paste combined well with the soft beancurd underneath. I'm not a black sesame person but this is a well rounded dessert.

Arrived at 6.30pm on a Saturday. Relatively quiet and customers started streaming in after 7pm. There are options to have less or no salt / oil / spicy to customise your meals. I think their food is tasty (no msg), reasonably priced (mid range IMHO) and portion is acceptable (moderate eaters). Vegan meals are clearly marked. Do give the tumeric fried rice a try! They do have parking in their compound - maybe fit between 5-6 cars max (depending on how the cars are parked). Roadside car park available too.

It’s not an overstatement to say that this is one of the best vegetarian places I’ve been to. I like that they mostly substitute meat with mushrooms instead of soy. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Penang.

Had a late night dinner and many places close early so we came here as they close at 9.30pm. Had the nasi lemak and janxden burger and one of their fresh juices. Have to say good was very good. Service was very good as well. Will definitely go back. Revisited the outlet after they relocated. We reached 5 mins before closing but they allowed us to order. Tried the satay rice and tom yam noodle. Liked the noodle better as the rice to me was a bit bland as had to eat with the satay sauce. Maybe I am just not used to the taste. But the food here is good. Will definitely go back to try out other items.

Ordered their fish porridge and sweet potato fries. Taste good! Also ordered their honey lemon ginger soda, lavender tea, lemon Roselle juice and guava juice too. Sat indoor, but was slightly warm with aircon and fan turned on.

Prices were good compared to Blue and Pinxin. Quality and taste was the best. They had pizzas and I swapped for vegan cheese and wasn't disappointed at all. Also their dessert Doufu Hua (tofu pudding) was very good. Carry cash or GrabPay. Since their menu wasn't up. I uploaded them via pics here.

Is not really suit my taste. The foods are only so so for me. The price is reasonable. Next time if have chance having meal there, maybe will try their rice and soup.

Mushroom soup has a little bit different taste maybe because of the mix herbs added in but the taste is good as well. I got the ratatouille baked pasta which was very good. Hot, delicious, and filling. Customer service was nice. Whole place filled up around dinner time so it’s clearly a well reputed place. Cons are dim lighting and the menu was a little overwhelming and not well done but the food surpassed my expectations. I would come again.

Last Visit: August 2017 Had the Pesto Pasta and Teriyaki Mushroom Burger (RM13.90 each). Both were tasty, but burger with sides were not very substantial. The mushroom patty itself was good, well-seasoned and good textures. Still, it would have been nice if there was more toppings in the burger. The food was not overpriced, but quality could be slightly better (with better quality ingredients) for the price. For that, Janxden is average as an overall. That said, I would recommend Janxden for vegetarians who want a place that offers a variety of western and asian food options at average café food prices. Ambience is casual and chill. Service is ok. Parking is convenient, with space for parking in front of Janxden.
