Ordering is via QR code on each table. Menus seems to be quite comprehensive compared to then.

The most disappointing thing about Macallum is that 5 of the items I wanted from the menu is either out or "we no longer have this". Menu is outdated but looked great. Eventually I ordered the baked cheese with eggs which is really good. Hence 4 stars, -1 for outdated menu. The coffee is great. But staff failed to communicate that there is an extra charge for switching to single origins coffee beans. -1 star. Very large swanky warehouse conversion. Great appearance. But airconditioning is low, so feels uncomfortable after a while. Also seating is wood topped stools or metal chairs. This place deserves comfy soft chairs and sofas. And music. Customers will want to stay longer, bring friends, chit chat and reorder over a longer time there.

Really nice and spacious cafe. The location is a little far-flung but is worth it for the space and vibe. The food and drink selection is decent but definitely on the pricier side. Nice place to hang out with friends and family.

Great coffee, good food and average desserts… pretty poor air conditioning… :) Go for the coffee, grab to go if it’s too crowded or too hot… Malaysian weather really spoils the space due to a hot metal roof. The only dessert I recommend is their banana loaf… lovely when toasted, but you will have to eat it when it’s a cool day or at night… As you can read, the heat really kills it.

Spacious and airy. Food was fantastic and service is great. The marbled pork chop was a burst of flavours in my mouth. Every single thing tasted fantastic: the sauce, mashed potato, corn rib, even the cherry tomatoes. Plenty parking. The only downside is the area get terribly jammed bcz it is located beside the main highway.

Came here to study with my friends and ordered some lunch before studying. Ordered two pastas (Aglio-olio & clam pesto), one iced long black, and a “teh oo” iced. Aglio olio was undercooked and pesto didn’t taste like anything. All four items came to a total of around 84 ringgit. Had to pay an extra 6% for sst and an additional 10% service tax when we did everything ourselves (scan qr). The only service we got was when we were served the food and when we paid at the counter.

A large warehouse converted to a aesthetic cafe. Their coffees are great and desserts are average. Service is good and friendly.

Coffee lovers should not miss this place. Especially those who like it black. Ask their friendly baristas for specialty coffee beans available, and try their hand brew drip coffee. 😍😍😍 Wonderful cuppa. Tried a few breakfast items too. Nice food. But be aware that, lunch menu is only available after 12noon. Besides that, carpark can be a problem. They do provide free carpark but are relatively limited compared to the seats available in the Cafe. Definitely worth a try.

There is a good amount of space between tables, making it a comfortable dining experience. The Sous Vide Chicken with Mash Potato was the highlight for me. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Loved how the flavours incorporate so well together and the pasta too! Drinks were great and staff were somewhat friendly too. I really like the ambience of this place and would recommend this place for gatherings or big groups.

Passed by this cafe and thought it was worth a visit, so I went there. Staff did not greet us when we entered. In fact, They did nothing other than bringing the food here and calling us to order ourselves... One of the workers assisted us to a seat and gave us only One menu and we even had to Scan QR Code to order. Ended up having to take more menus by ourselves and ordered. Ordered a plate of nasi lemak, croissant. The fact that the nasi lemak is over RM30 yet it was just quite ordinary is just ridiciulous. The croissants were just ok,nothing speical. The drinks we ordered were a Hot chocolate, iced latte and a babycino. The hot choc was very average and they charged us an freaking RM13, I'd rather make milo at home man. Babycino was just some average hot milk. Nothing special for the latte. Me and my pocket ate the food with an unhappy face. The bill came at an whopping RM170 for just 4pax. There are definetly some other reasonable cafes in Penang. Will never return again.

Very industrial design and spacious area. Hojicha and Mocha is good. Would love to have more lighting on to create the industrial mood . Nice place to chill and do work.

Enjoy the spacious and cozy atmosphere. Food is just delicious as always however all prices have gone up quite a bit. The portion of Mediterranean chicken is mismatch with its price. Clams in the cheesy curry pasta have tiny sands - free natural ingredient! Quality control issues!? 🤔

Nice place to hang out with friends and family. Good coffee and the cake was nice. On the menu also a good choice of meals available. Large interior space which is clean, spacious and inviting. Limited parking available just outside.

Went there on a rainy night. Very industrial chill vibe. Car park is limited, probably can fit 20 cars and quite narrow space to manoeuvre. Nice beans and drinks menu. Smooth and fragrant latte (on the bitter side). Dishes are ok. Creative twist on some usual cafe food (eg smoke duck with tangy sauce) portion is quite small (considering the price) not suitable for sharing.

A warehouse style cafe. Nice coffee and foods. I love the Coffee flavor spaghetti here. Nice enviroment. One thing i don't like is the parking space. Limited parking, and the way into parking is narrow. Once u turn into entrance and want to parking, both left and right ways are dead end. if u cannot get a parking, u have to reverse or U-turn your car and back to the only entrance.

Tried the dessert, pancakes. 🥞 On the menu it was pictured to be so big, when it came it was the size of a baby's fist. SO tiny and overpriced. Look at the actual product. Even the small piece of green apple is bigger than the pancakes I tell you. They just placed it fancily and drizzled it with syrup. That's it.

Disappointed. Ordered the scone but guess what? It's a mold scone given by the cafe. The only thing they do when i informed them about the scone is to take back the scone and prep a new one for me. Well.. do you think I will eat back the same thing over again? And their customer services are suck. So many people working but never see us waving. I thought this is a popular cafe in Penang thus I came here all the way from Singapore. Will not come back to this cafe anymore.

This is one of the OG cafes in Penang. Celebrated my friend's birthday there. Three of us ordered the Carbonara Truffle 🍝 It's special and pretty good. I like the Iced Rose Latte as well 🌹Food came pretty fast with minimal wait time. Quite a lot of parking around the cafe. Great ambiance for hang out and dating. They don't take reservations but seating is plenty. Price is standard cafe price (RM40-RM50+ per person for a main dish and a drink)

Magnificent food.. Excellent ambient… Spacious floor and clean toilet. Loving this place. Must try Brazil Royale.. mix meat. Perfectly cooked meat. Succulent Frankfurter and juicy Bacon. Smoked Salmon Croissant, tastier than French made.. 10 stars.

A nice cup of iced rose latte but nothing too extraordinary. Same goes with the pork burger: Delicious but I'd expect more for that price (very high side). The sweet potato fries is a nice surprise though. Generally not too crowded (Sat 3-5pm). They have a number of seatings that are far apart from each other. The customer service can do with a bit of upgrade to match with the shop's reputation.

Food: - smoked duck with passion fruit sauce: such a good idea as a snack! it was delicious! - coffee crumble cake: it was heated and tasted just right with the moistness of the cake and the crumbles on top Coffee: the best coffee I've ever had in Penang 😍 Service: the staff is always super friendly and warm

Love the morning vibe here. Coffee is quite strong (had hazelnut latte) for someone who prefers something milky. Burnt cheesecake is also interesting with the sea salt cream on the side. It probably attracts the not so young crowd which makes it perfect for someone who prefers quiet mornings.

Very spacious restaurant. Easy access as it's next to a main road. There's limited parking in front of the restaurant. Food wise is good. Their coffee also taste good! We ordered eggs benedict, caramel pancake, and a big breakfast. Price is reasonable, cafe standard. I paid for RM98 for 3 person with 3 meals and 3 drinks. Oh ya, they do sell ice cream at the entrance too! As per my daughter, it's delicious!

There is PARKING There is free PARKING There is a lot of PARKING It’s very important that I have to repeat three times. Most cafes have nice food, nice environment, but this, it has all of it and PARKING. The food is really nice, one of the best carbonara in town, smoked salmon croissant is good as well. The portion is large, food is nice, hence might be bit pricier than usual cafes. It’s also one of the OG cafe in Penang, once you have tried it, you’ll know why it’s been here since 2010’s.

Huge space, staff are all very very very nice. Good food. For now (covid) is the only cafe i'm not afraid to go to. As soon as I enter, directed to my table and water served directly. Very polite servers. Spent >6 hours here.

Wide place . Not congested type of cafe . Good place to chill and chit chat . Just wal around in town and thought of coming in when I saw there’s parking space . Usually really find hard time to get one as limited parking Had a very good Tiramisu here . I tried before their Aglio Olio and it was so good . Very full this round . So just had dessert . Will try and share more next round

Service is dysfunctional and slightly rude. Food is just ok but you need to wait 30-40minutes for your food and table is served in different time. So you have someone who is eating and someone who is watching. Which is embarrassing. Just not that, also water took 20-30 minutes despite we requested twice. My burger was really not as I expected. It looks so good, but meat was...watery. Beef beacon...well I would like to be more crispy. The croissant was just ok. Again beacon and more the potatoes there were not really good. In sum, It was not a great experience.

Spacious environment. Social Distance between tables. Currently their food ready to be serve on 10.30am. Bolognese was normal, meatball not so much of taste. However their pork burger not bad, I like they give extra sauce when they serve. Sweet potatoes as a side was not bad too.

The location & decoration was ok but coffee & food might be overrated + pricy… also to pur surprise we were welcome by someone who doesnt look happy working there & she sounded pretty bossy to us.

It's considered 1 of the cafes standing strong in PG since it's early existence in the cafe industry, but frankly speaking, the food is just average. The coffee can be considered good. It's spacious, so it's suitable for group gatherings, but the chair is definitely not comfortable for long period time.

Trekked all the way from Chinatown so we can check out the coffee because of its reputation. To be honest, I had more expectations and though the coffee was good, I hoped for better. I found the coffee a tad too milky and the beans lacks bite. There's a whole lot of other smaller stalls here, but you'd probably come here for the coffee. Just tamper your expectations, because the coffee won't change your life. The music wasn't great either.

Generally, their food is tasty with wife variety and have separate breakfast and lunch menu selection. Their environment is large enough and don't give cramp effect at all...their building is like warehouse. Unfortunately they do not have ice-cream stall and variety of cakes... Strongly recommend for gathering or special occasion with a large group of customers

Overall experience was good. All meals, drinks and desserts were tasty. Price is quite expensive probably due to the location.

The iced vanilla latte was nice. The mocha was disappointment. So diluted. Place rather dark, could do with brighter colors on the wall. Service was ok only. One time visit

The food is fantastic. Truffle paste carbonara blended together very well, and the carbonara here is traditional as well (not cream based). The sweet potato fries have really good flavor. Chicken thigh with mashed potatoes would be a pass for me in the future. Their teas are from teadrop, with really good quality and flavor.

Interesting cafe & restaurant upscaled from an old industrial factory lot. The space is huge, all tables are well spaced, feels very comfortable with the ambience. Floor staffs are very friendly and service was prompt. Food wise, well its not bad but not great either. Portion is kinda small given its asking price. I'd expect their version of big breakfast (7/10) to at least have double sunny-side up. Its served in very small plate, almost like its a kid's meal. Also tried their pork bacon croissant (8/10) and double pork patty 'mcmuffin' (set+coffee) (8/10) which actually tastes alot like mekdi but much better. I don't really like the coffee (hot americano) (6/10)..which was served in a cup which again look more like its part of kid's meal. Dessert wise, perhaps its because its breakfast hour, only 2 pastries were available, none of which looked interesting so skipped that. I'll give this restaurant another shot for sure, to try out the other menu. This is my first visit, and it was a cloudy morning with slight drizzle. So we didn't feel hot. but from what i hear, it can get pretty warm indoor on a hot day.
