Everything about this hotel is good, no complains at all except for the towels. Their towel stinks, I even almost puked!! Even when I requested to be changed, they still stink. I stayed for 3 nights and for all 3 days, whenever room service replace with new towels, they all stink. Very very bad laundry quality they have. I even complained also at the reception when I checked out and the reception lady just said 'oh sorry about that'. I told her if they don't change this I'm never going to come back, and I mean it although I felt the hotel is quite good in other aspects.

Overall, I like about this lodging. It offers u towel, iron + iron board, fridge in room, some mineral water, jug kettle + inst coffee, free parking, some xtra space for double queen room, adjustable air-cond, sink in the toilet quite big (easier to take ablution for muslims). Located opposite to sup Hameed. Cons- my room was at lvl 5 that time. The karaoke music from the restaurant behind this hotel was really disturbing. One should opt to request for higher lvl room in case to minimize the noise. I didn't know at what time they stop the 🎀 🎢 activity as I fell asleep b4 12amπŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…. I was too tired after a whole day spent at ESCAPE penangπŸ˜…. I suggest that housekeeping should layer the dustbin especially in the toilet with garbage bag. Tq...

I wanted to share detailed feedback regarding our recent stay at your hotel, as there were a few notable issues that impacted our experience. Upon entering the room, I observed concerning cleanliness issues such as mold, dust, and noticeable stains. Regrettably, these conditions fell below the expected standards, significantly affecting the quality of our stay. Additionally, I encountered challenges with the reception staff whose service did not meet expectations. On a positive note, the maintenance team proved to be more helpful in addressing some of the issues. One particular concern is that the stains at the counter appeared to have transferred onto our baggage. Unfortunately, we were not initially aware of these stains, and it has caused an inconvenience. I believe addressing these issues will enhance the overall guest experience at your hotel.

We stayed for 1 night in hotel Malaysia and we were really satisfy with our stay. The room space was ok, the bed really comfy, water pressure was very good and the aircond function well. Check in process was smooth eventhough we went there during peak season (Diwali Public Holiday). Staff was really helpful and friendly. There are no buffet breakfast, only ala carte menu and we were given two choices of menu either Western (Fried egg, sausage, baked beans and fried potatoes) or Oriental (Char Kuey Teow) to be choose. Location wise very strategic and nearby to 2 famous nasi kandar restaurant (Line Clear and Hameediyah) and also Sup Hamid just across the street. Parking are quite limited but free for hotel guest. Stay 1 night at Premier Deluxe room (2 queen bed).

Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED. Read below 1. Parking - very very limited. So if the parking space is full, you have to park outside of the hotel (roadside) and you have to pay on your own. Forgot to pay = saman. 2. Soundproofing is very bad. THIS IS THE WORST!!!! Theres a coffeeshop below which blast music very loud or they have someone that sings there and shout at the microphone till late night. No way you can ignore the noise. Other guests opening their room doors, pulling their chairs on top, everything can be heard. If youre a light sleeper, say goodbye to sleep. 3. Tv - not clear reception, always seeing static. 4. Cleaniness - a lot a lot of stains on the bedsheets, dirty marks and stains on the wall. Look and the pictures and see on your own. 5. Staffs - Speak english they confused, speak bm also they confused

The hotel is old but it is quite comfortable. This hotel is situated away from the main street so there isn't any traffic noise. Pros: - Nearby to the common tourist attraction. - Beds are clean and comfortable. - Toilet is quite clean Con: The bathroom is a bit mouldy but generally quite clean. - No basic toilet amenities provided. Overall, I would stay again and would recommend it.

Clean and spacious room. Bedsheets are old but clean. The employees there mostly are senior local citizens. It shows that the management are really taking care of them. Location is great. Transportation is convenient. A great stay!

Just walking distance to nasi kandar line clear. Hameediyah. Ais tingkap. Shop lots souvenirs. And sup hameed just in front of the hotel. Komtar also not too far. Still can walk to there with the heritage view and stop for pictures with beca.

Worst value for money hotel. 1. Does not provide oral hygiene products in bathroom. 2. Wifi not accessable. 3. Staffs are very unfriendly. 4. Only 1 pair of pillow given and refused to provide extra. 5. Only one pair of bath towels and no other kind of towels were given. 6. Rooms AC are central AC system and turns off the AC late at night. I would not mind this kind of service in a RM50 hotel but when im paying RM200++ this service is not acceptable.

Very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and tidy. Lovely ocean view. It's a shame there's no pool for the kids. Walking distance to several restaurants or if you prefer easy access to food delivery apps.

Clean rooms, excellent location to tourist areas, the views are also great for some rooms. Only that the noise isolation in rooms are a bit poor and you can listen to your neighbours. The restaurant at the top offers excellent views too

Hotel at prime location. They have early check-in time around 8:30 am. Before this you will be charged. They have all the services and bathtub. If you are foreigner they will charge you tourism tax which could be 10RM to 20RM depends on your stay.

Location is good, room was comfortable and price was alright. Nothing much to say other than it was easy to locate, ample parking and I had good sleep. Don't expect fancy restaurants nor facilities, it's good as a hotel to bunk in and head out for the rest of the day.

I had booked for Quiet Room but we were given a room just next to the lift (1001). It turned out to be a noisy environment where people exiting the lift, waiting for the lift talking very loud. It was completely not acceptable. The shower is located above the bathtub & the entry to the bathtub is not user friendly (very dangerous). I had to encounter slippery entry into the bathtub & hurt my leg. Very unpleasant. Bidet in the toilet is a plus. Cashless parking is very convenient where only one time touchngo card validation is required to enjoy free parking for the stay. On the checkout day, while waiting for the lift, heard a loud bang sound from one of the lift & the lift went into out of order state. The lift was coming down to level 10 from level 11. It seems that the lift had hit something (due to alignment issue) & got stuck. Luckily there was no one inside the lift at that time & we were not inside it before it got stuck. Hope something is done for soundproofing plus the access into the bathtub.

Chowrasta market and Kimberly street about 10-15mins walk if you want to look for food. Line clear nasi kandar is about 10mins walk just opposite Cititel. The double queen size bedroom is very spaces.... about RM260++

I never felt this way for along time. Staying in this hotel is the best stay that i ever had. Not too luxury. And not too ghetto either. Not to complaint abt the room. Everything good except.2 things. 1) provide a better tv remote 2) need to eliminate unwanted sounds at night. Nail clipping? Refrigerator sound? The plus part halal foodie is juat nearby. Hameed soup. Damn. Line clear nasi kandar, hameediyah nasi kandar. Omg. This is a short trip. Next time i will stay longer. Grocery or 7 11 type of shop just next door to the lobby entrance. Walkway for wheelchair bound ppl also available.

It's a nice and clean hotel, where staff are quick to help when we ask. Breakfast isn't the best, so I suggest eating elsewhere (luckily there are lots of food places nearby). They also have a swimming pool on a balcony but I haven't tried it.

Hotel Malaysia is my regular stay hotel every time I visited Penang either for Business or Vacation. I had to wait more then 20 minutes until Air Con wasn't able to ON call reception to request help and the had to send technical team to check the air con but then they told me that air con had to be ON or activated from the reception. Thy told us change Room but some how they managed to ON from the reception. We had requested for additional access card which we had placed it in card slot and left for an appointment but upon our return back to the room we noticed that our access card was taken / removed by the housekeeping team while they were making up the room. We had to go down to reception again to request for another card. Rooms are absolutely clean and well managed but during my recent stay Shower gel was not replaced until I had to call housekeeping again to replace them.

Best budget hotel I have been; clean, comfortable, friendly & central location. Best eating places & tourist spots are walking distance away or within the CAT route.

Located on Penang road, it's pretty crowded on certain times and being situated at the side of the road, you might have a hard time find a spot to park while you check-in. But you can easily access places such as Padang Kota Lama, Chow Rasta, and many others. The place is pretty comfortable for small families, and the higher your room, the nicer the view.

Honestly I'm not convince to stay here from the exterior. But they have quite good price for a hotel. We stay in two double bed room with bathtub and 4 breakfast and we pay not more than rm150 which is a bargain. The room also clean and comfortable. The eating place is on 11th floor which is so nice. You will have ocean view while eating breakfast and the restaurant also so cosy. The staff also very helpful from from parking to check in and check out. And you don't have to worry where to eat at night since they have convenient store nearby. And there is burger stall and sup hameed just acrossthe road.

Stayed in this hotel from 17/12/2021 to 18/12/2021, and the experience is TERRIBLE! First, the bedsheet is very dirty, where you can see some blood ink. And, when you asked to change the bedsheet, they were not willing to, and will scold you (I would say in a very rude and unfriendly manner). Also, NO guaranteed parking spot for customers too! Meaning, if you stay in this hotel, the carpark is on a 1st come 1st serve basis, so, you may end up parking your car outside or far away from the hotel (and you need to pay additional parking fee). So, if you have a car and want to stay in a hotel, I will NOT recommend this Hotel Malaysia (in Penang).

Room big and great view. Downsides: very bad internet connection. Can't watching anything and barely working. Breakfast is Chinese oriented and so no cheese no bacon obviously.

Don't be fooled by the old facade on the exterior the inside is way more updated. The view from the coffee house at floor 11 is very nice at night. Room quite cozy with freezer and water heater. All and all its a great place as it is also near a 24 hour shop and some mamak restaurant. I would like to give high mark but the cleanliness is abit iffy especially inside the water heater. Anyways great place to stay with a decent price range.
