An institution since 1984, it has been the go to place for dental fixes for many of us over the years. A new set of dentists has taken over but dentists remain professional and service staff remains great. Over time I have transitioned to Dr Ng Kiat Chye and he is good! Very calming and helps relieves the stress of visiting a dentist. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I was seen by Dr Caitlyn Tan and Jas who are an absolutely amazing team! Dr Caitlyn spoke excellent English and was very understanding and attentive to my concerns. Jas was lovely and a great assistant, putting me at ease. Penang Dental Surgery is very clean and professional and they have the top of the range technology on hand. The price was very good and much cheaper than what I would pay back in England. Honestly, the service and customer service from everyone involved, including Aemy in reception was so good, I am shocked at how much better it was to be treated here than it is in England, UK. Just got my teeth treatment by Dr. Goh today (17/8/2018). A very passionate and patience dentist that performed detail scaling to my teeth. The waiting area is nice and cozy. Good place to get my teeth treatment there.

Penang Dental Surgery has been my go to dental clinic for as long as I can remember. Over the decades, yes decades, they have kept their core which is their amazing customer service(Hello Margaret and Linda) while upgrading their technology to keep up with the times. I was there just 2 weeks ago after 4 long years (thanks covid) and I was impressed again with their recent renovations to make my visit to the dentist a memorable one. Thanks Dr Tan Ni Wen for an excellent job. Me and my wife will be back and I am certain our little girl will also be seeing you when the time comes.

Don't be fooled by the good reviews. I am an ongoing orthodontic patient at this clinic, and i have had the worst experience ever. The staff is extremely rude. I arrived on time for my appointment and they consistently came up with excuses to send in other patients that arrived after me. On confronting them on their behaviour, they were extremely rude and sarcastic. They were also shouting at me from their station to my seat. They only entertained me when I asked to speak to their manager. But, even after saying that it would be my turn next, they continued with sending in new patients that came after me. After my treatment has finally been completed they could not stop themselves from being sarcastic one last time by saying "I'll book you as the first patient at 8am next time" This has happened multiple times but this time they were way out of line. Update: The matter was resolved swiftly by Dr Tan Ni Wen. She has been really understanding, and I have seen that the receptionists have improved. Other than that, the doctors here are really friendly and they know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend Dr. Tan Kai Wen, she gave me exceptional treatment and was so patient to explain all the procedures before and after. She is super friendly and instantly made me feel at ease. It was a comfortable and efficient experience, and she is definitely an expert in her field!

I can say this is one of the best if not the best dental services in Penang. The dentists are very friendly, careful and very experienced. They take time to explain the situation in detail and the options available for you. Surely one I will recommend to friends and family. Dr. Tan Kai Wen (Caitlyn) is absolutely, hands down the BEST dentist I have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. She takes great pride in what she does and strives to make sure that our teeth not only function well, but look great too. She is a tooth artist. I was very nervous going in as a procedure I needed to have done had previously been completed (or so I thought) in the US and when it was done there it had been a painful experience. I was concerned that I would experience the same pain here. She assured me that there would be NO pain and she would get the job done right. She didn't disappoint. No pain, beautiful outcome. She has also taken care of my childrens' teeth and all were very happy with her and that's amazing since my kids are not fans of the dentist. I have been back to see her for all my needs. I recommend her to all those looking for a great dentist with good results. So very thankful to have met her and thankful for Penang Dental Surgery. The staff are very helpful, kind, and courteous. Excellent, excellent place.

We had an excellent cleaning and X-ray experience with Dr. Caitlyn Tan. She is very personable and has a light hand. The X-ray machine is the best we have had without sticking the film in your mouth.

Please everyone note that even though I have free dental treatment both in the uk+ in France, by very capable dentists, if there should be major issues eg crowning, extraction, big filling, I would wait even months til I am back in Penang, for Dr Tan is the Dream Dentist anyone could ever have!! Last year, his professional expertise saved my Love life; today I have just had my wisdom tooth painlessly, neatly, efficiently extracted. Dr tan Kai wen and dr tan ni wen always super thorough and detailed work. My teeth come out squeaky clean and I feel confident smiling my biggest brightest smile! 😁😁✨ Recently dr tan Kai wen also helped me correct an awkward brushing habit that I never notice for many years. kudos to her amazing attention to detail, I’m saying goodbye to bleeding gums. My wife and i had our teeth scaled and polished today by one of the dentists who was very efficient and professional. The scaling was much quicker than we have experienced in Canada but our teeth felt cleaned. Just what we needed.

Dr. Tan Ni Wen is the sweetest dentist ever! I was nervous to go to a dentist in Malaysia because I’m from the Netherlands. But she was very sweet and patience with me! She only did the things I asked her first. She answered all my questions and really helped me with the pain in my tooth. I contacted my dentist in the Netherlands and send him the X-ray she made and he said exactly the same as everything she said. So you can really trust her knowledge! The assistants are very sweet as well and it’s not expensive at all. It’s also very clean. I really recommend this clinic!

The staffs and dentist here are very friendly, explaining my teeth condition is a very details and patience way to me. However, in this pandemic of Covid-19, I hope that the clinic could emphasize more on sanitizing the room before next patient is entering as we have to take off our mask when we see the dentist. We never know is last patient a covid carrier or close contact person. This is the only thing worry me, other than that, this clinic has do a good job.

The Penang Dental & Surgery is such dental clinic. Over 2 decades, apart from the normal fillings and scaling, I have done oral surgery, implants, orthodontics and, restorative dentistry all at this clinic. In between I have gone to others' recommendations but the work did not last beyond 3 years and I have to fix the teeth again. This clinic has 6 specialists and highly experience senior doctors, advanced dental X-Ray machines and trained supportive staff to provide whatever your dental care needs. The best part is, they managed your fear and pain. The high tech digital screen allows you to see exactly the state of your tooth look like while doctor patiently explains the treatment procedures. You are showed before and after. Highly recommended. .

I was recommended by a friend, and I enjoyed this place. highly recommend Dr Goh. She does every job with attention to detail, and answers my questions, and gives honest professional opinions. Delicate with her hands, and explains every step while she’s performing a task. Towards the end she explains preventative and self care tips. I brought my mom and now Dr Goh is the only doctor she wants lol. The new design gives off good vibes. the nurses and assistants there especially the senior ones like Margaret and Linda. I return here for checkups, scaling polishing, whitening. Whitening is Philips zoom, and my first visit got me from b2 to a shade whiter than b1. I’d recommend eating before coming so you can take a pain killer!

Clean, comfy, nice reno & deco. It is comfortable. All the staffs are friendly and provide good service. I started braces treatment since March 2023. The price is reasonable and monthly follow up all handled solely by the dentist. It is convenient as any queries or make appointment can be access and contact via WhatsApp. The staffs and dentist do not hesitate to explain and repeat again when there is doubt.

Friendly service and professional doctor

This is a crappy store. I waited for an hour. I was told it was 2:00 but it was delayed until 3:00. The time I booked with me was like this. The service was also very bad. They were hasty and useless.

Today went to wash my teeth wit Dr.Tan Kai Wen I really like her service and advice. She is very professional and explain in detail for me and make me feel so comfort when doing the service. I would come back to her again and I will bring my family come here too.

Having my teeth aligned here has been a great experience. Dr. Lim is highly skilled and an expert in his field, and his assistant also handles everything professionally. Additionally, the receptionists are attentive to details. After three years, my teeth alignment treatment has finally come to an end. Although the waiting times were occasionally tedious and parking space is limited, still it is manageable. Place is clean and ambient; I can see the efforts of assistant always clean for the seat. When come to seek professional advice on teeth alignment, I would highly recommend Dr Lim. Lastly, I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr. Lim, his assistant, and the receptionists. It's definitely worth coming here.

The clinic is very customer-oriented. Made a review regarding a slightly poor customer services provided over the Whatsapp few weeks ago, the doctor called by herself today to understand about the situation and try to improve on that. Really appreciate the doctors' efforts in trying to bring the best experience as they could for the patients ;) Other than that, I would say my overall experience in the clinic (physically) were really great. Dr. Lim is very patient and professional, although the price is a bit expensive, but i would say is all worth it.

Rude and terrible service at the reception. Came for the 1st consultation and be told that i should be a male patient by my name after i talk to her face to face..? And still insist that she is right after that. The doctor seems like not professional and did not give a clear direction when he suggest me to consult another doctor. He told me i will meet the doctor later, but was told to make appointment again at the reception.

They helped me with advanced dental X-ray and explained to me my teeth conditions thoroughly. Dr. Tan also patiently advise me on the tips for healthy teeth and gums too. She helped me with xray and explained to me the condition of my teeth in very detail manner. Then proceed to scaling and advice on the next-steps about closing teeth gaps. Great experience with Dr. Tan Ni Wen. I had a cavity and needed consultation. She took xray and gave me 2 options. Either extraction or root canal. I took the formal option and I am very happy with the process. It was painless and quick. She was patience and communicated the status throughout the procedure. 2 days had passed and still no pain nor bleeding..Will highly recommend her ... sincerely...
