A very Penang-style attempt at Italian food. Food is expensive for the quality. After trying it, I would say that I’d pay at most half of what they’re charging for the food if I had a choice. Mushroom soup was your typical mass produced mushroom soup. Even found an onion skin inside?? And some bits of mushroom that were rock hard for some reason. Fettuccine carbonara was not much better than a pasta that you would get at the kopitiam. Environment is more suitable for families with children rather than couples or singles. Not a place to sit back and relax. And definitely a big no for dates. Having tasted authentic Italian food before, this place has been a disappointment. However, I personally have extremely high standards for food in general so if you’re not picky, you might find this place decent, as so many people who have left good reviews on here have found.

Went there on a Sunday, called before going and the owner literally asked me not t come as they're busy. Decided to go in after seeing it empty. It had 4 foreigners working. I ordered starter and main course and ended up only drinking the soup which tasted like came straight out of a can. I dont usually comment negatively but im writing this after one week still not being able to forget my experience. The pale rude owner is shouting away to his staffs and im not sure what the staffs are doing to the food. The owner didnt even appologise for the food i didnt receive. A British couple sitting next to me literally said 'can you believe the price we're paying for this cr*p'. I lived all over the world and ate in so many restaurants in Penang and this is by far the worst experience.

The reason of this bad review is to remind those who wanna try, think twice before you come. The owner of the store has the worst attitude in the industry. We arrived at 7pm and they told us pizza sold out. They served our dessert immediately saying that ‘you better eat while we still have it’. He took our orders partially and went off. We ordered mushroom soup but it wasn’t served to us. Overall dining experience was not pleasant yet in the end they still charge us service charge without us feeling we were served at all. Not going back anymore.

Had dinner here last year n overall quality had changed worse. My friend wants to give a try n visit again for his birthday lunch treat before the business shut down for a memory though as this eatery used to be a favourite n widely known in Penang for the past decades with its excellent food taste n services by the owner. Unfortunately this time was a nightmare n more worsen than the last. Upon entered the place, the owner has the bad attitude, he is not welcoming n keep saying “only cash payment!”. I ordered grilled seabass fish but it was terrible served, awful taste n stinky which I unable to finish at all. The menu price still remains old high-priced. I would say you not deserve it anymore. Well, I believe there might be something bad happened n caused the restaurant turns it to inferior now. If you plan to shut down the business, pls do it during the resplendent n good reputation moments. Don’t spoil your image n our nostalgic memory for not turning back.

Food standard has dropped tremendously. Sadly didn’t enjoy the pasta and calamari. And it’s really expensive! Not worth the price at all. Only the tiramisu saved the day.

We were a frequent customer here for a long time. Food was great, much variety to choose and in terms food, everything is great. What’s been disappointing is as in the past they wouldn’t accept reservations and bookings, so we would require to walk in and get our table. But recently, since they are getting much more dinners, they are accepting reservations and we long time dinners had been turned away many times due to the lack of tables. So if you’re a looking for good food you really can consider this location but do get that tables are very limited and people there doesn’t really care about loyalty dinners.

The environment is so dark that i hardly read the menu. I ordered mushroom soup and a pizza and they were very salty. The pizza is very dry as well, little source and cheese were placed on the pizza only. The prices is quite expensive but with this low quality cooking, i feel quite disappointed.

5 stars for their dessert 💕 Risotto tasted like a normal porridge to me. The crust of the pizza is rather hard, the taste of the pizza is so so to me.

Came here for lunch, the restaurant was very dark & a bit hot since no lights/minimal A/C were turned on, although there's natural light from the street. Food portion was big but the taste was average.

it's been one of the longest standing shops in Belissa Row, and their food is still nice after all these years! Had quite a great time enjoying their Chocolate Lava Cakes, Mushroom and Tomato Soup and their limited-menu item black squid ink seafood pasta

The portion is really big. You can order one dish for two to share also. People don't mind paying the current price if the food is good and if it has quality. You can really reduce the portion a little. After having the starters (soup), we could barely finish our main since it's so huge. It's nice but it's just too big. The place is warm and cozy too.

Foods was just ok. Garden Salad was big portion. Pizza and spaghetti were ..so so. Too dark for me, owner was very upset at his worker and shouting at him even customers were there. He asked me for cash before I order foods. Why? I saw him using card machine to take out other customer.

Pasta and pizza were ok. Nothing spectacular. Portion was decent. Cash only. Good for casual family dining. I wouldn't have formal business dinner here.

nice food and nice ambient, but the lousy service is indeed shocking. We arrived the shop at 2pm, shop closed at 3pm, but switch off the lights, air conditioner and music at 2.30pm while we are still having our meal. Then opened the main door widely, and chase us to settle the bill (he said only cash is acceptable when i intended to pay by credit card). Such a bad service and still charge me a 10% service charge. Will never go to this shop again and will not recommend it to my friends ever again.

Lighting is a bit dark. Price is slightly higher. Ordered carbonara, pizza, a salad, lamb shank, a starter (can’t rmb the name but it’s spicy for me)and a tiramisu cake. Food was good, especially carbonara 🤩🤩 but tiramisu was so so. Overall a good experience, will visit again.

Bad phone etiquette. Called to make a reservation, my call was answered by a foreign worker which shouted - no reservation! no reservation! no reservation! as if I was about to do something bad. Went to other restaurant for dinner instead. It is a shame that if this is a proper or good restaurant then it’s business is affected by assigning the wrong person to handle their calls, repulse customers away.
