The place is a bit secluded from the main road but you can enjoy calm environment when eating dinner here. You might miss the signboard for the shop if you search them at night. Taste wise, all food that we ordered were tasty and delicious. Tips to order: buy small portion if you dine in for two person. Tomyam taste familiar like johnny's restaurant. The kapitan squid is really delicious and easy to chew. The egg with vegetable is great dish to repeat. Kangkung belacan is chef's kiss as well as shrimp cooked with butter. Will repeat again for the flavour they offered as the food is exceed my expectation. Place is good for family environment or large group. 😄😄

Came here for the first time. Authentic Malay food with a nice ambiance. We ordered a Asam pedas fish head, ayam malindo, prawn and squid dish. Asam pedas is good. The flavour can really stimulate all parts of taste buds. Fish is fresh and cook to perfection. Ayam malindo has nice flavour. But it was a little dry. (Maybe it was how it's supposed to be). It's an Indonesian dish and it was my first time trying it. The prawn was served on a bamboo, and I love the gravy a lot. The silky smooth egg does provide extra texture to the prawn. Squid is nice but no wow factor. Basically all ingredients are very fresh. Pricing is a little expensive, but compatible with the location, food quality and ambiance. Parking can be challenging, but usually it's available.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a charming restaurant, savoring a traditional Malay feast. The fragrant spices filled the air as we indulged in ikan berlada, a flavorful fish dish with a blend of herbs and spices. Together with kailan ikan masin, a delectable vegetable dish, it was a symphony of tastes and wonders. This authentic dining with P. Ramlee music as the background was awesome to the max! We highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable culinary journey.

When the old songs of P Ramlee playing behind, you know nothing will goes to wrong in this restaurant (ok not bias) haha honest review all the dishes are so nice ! My favourite goes to Sotong (the softest & chewy texture I ever had), kelabu apple surprisingly good (because we thought to go safe with Kelabu manggi at first) Would love to visit again.

My visit to D'Dapor in Penang was a delightful introduction to the local culinary scene. This charming restaurant is a true gem, offering an authentic taste of Penang's rich and diverse cuisine. The restaurant's ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and eager to help with menu recommendations and explanations. It's evident that they take pride in sharing Penang's culinary heritage with diners. Whether you're a local or a visitor, D'Dapor is a great choice for a taste of Penang's culinary heritage. The prices are reasonable, the food is top-notch, and it's a perfect place to explore the vibrant flavors of Penang's street food scene. I left D'Dapor with a full and satisfied belly, eager to return for another gastronomic adventure.

Beautiful accident… Discovered by our Uncle by accident.. D’Dapor is hidden yet can be considered a jem because of these special things/reasons: 1. Service: welcoming and warm service from Fazz. 2. Ambience: brings this sense of nostalgia 3. Food: sumptuously refreshing flavours and definitely made with love! Terima Kasih Fazz!

Restaurant located at the old heritage building in heart of Georgetown, around banking area. Car park quite limited especially during work days. Pretty nice ambience, with most of wall painted & decorated with the late Tan Sri P.Ramlee movie scenes. I amazaed with big copy of his ID in the frame at one of restaurant pillar. It's Malay cuisine restaurant, the food here is just an average. There quite number of tables/seatings.

Good tasty Malay food, old Malay style decor, and quick serving. Friendly and helpful staffs. Love the curry fish head, pepper Prawn, belacan kangkong, otak-otak etc. All good. Ask for recommendation or their signature to owner, Faz or waitress. Prebook is suggested when you come in big group, weekday lunch is always busy. Parking is not easy to find, use grab car if you can. Very recommended!

As a fan of Malay cuisine, I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Located in the heart of the Georgetown city, this shop offers a fantastic traditional malay cuisine that is truly worth every penny! Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance, which immediately set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience. The interior was tastefully decorated, with comfortable seating arrangements that catered to both small and large groups. Boss & staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. One of the standout features of D dapor Restaurant is undoubtedly its diverse selection of Malay dishes. From traditional favorites to unique delicacies, there was something to tempt every palate. Each dish offered an explosion of flavors that were both authentic and satisfying. The pricing at D dapor Restaurant is also very reasonable, considering the quality and variety of food offered. It allows diners to indulge in a wide array of dishes without feeling like they are breaking the bank. The value for money is simply outstanding, making it an ideal choice for families, groups of friends, or even solo diners looking to experience the best of Malay cuisine. The service at D dapor was exemplary. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any queries. They ensured that the food/drink spread was constantly replenished, maintaining the freshness and quality of the dishes throughout the dining experience. To sum it all up, D Dapor Restaurant is undoubtedly a top-notch traditional Malay cuisine that deserves recognition. From the friendly staff to the delectable selection of dishes, dining here is an absolute delight.
