Kyrin Sushi

Restaurant β€’ Japanese restaurant

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Me and my partner came here for dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. Food was amazing: the ramen was topped with fatty chashu pork slices, and the white tuna sushi roll we ordered was incredibly fresh. Definitely getting that again the next time we come by! Hospitality was great, ambience felt luxu... People often mention good, taste, Japanese, fresh, restaurant, nice, reasonable, service, small, sushi,

The price is reasonable. The taste would be slightly better than other Japanese restaurants (depend on the dish you ordered), but don't put too much expectation as it going to be like a normal Japanese restaurant. Overall, this is a nice restaurant but the location at the corner which is hard to be notice by other.

Love their Uni Ikura Oyster Shot - fresh and yummy! The Seared Tuna was good as well. Service was a bit slow though.

Overall above average. Do try their cheese baked oyster, palm sized big and taste good. The unagi fry rice was an unexpectedly good combination. Curry Katsu was aromatic. The salmon was fresh. However, quite thirsty after the meal, suspected to be to much MSG haha.

Pretty decent Japanese food and nice clean setting/ambiance. Staff are also friendly and I’d say it’s good service. Only thing maybe could be improved is the order in which the food was served. I would have liked the oyster dish/most raw/fresh to be served first but that’s just my opinion. Overall still a decent place to check out.

Amazing food with reasonable price, especially Buta Kimchi Don is most recommended dish (but a bit spicy), helpful staffs to serve the table when arrive. But you need to call and make reservation to avoid fully booked seats. And this location is quite difficult to find the parking. All food and beverage will be subject to 16% tax.

Nice Japanese restaurant offering good varieties of japanese food. Price and portions are reasonable and service is good. The only challenge is parking. Saba Shioyaki is good

One of Penang Top Japanese Restaurant if not the best. The Sashimi are deliciously fresh. The variety and taste of Ramen are awesome. Sake is great. Not too overpowering and yet delicate to our palate. Am personally also impressed with its foods and drinks presentation. The environment definitely has a good and cosy vibe. Services are great as staffs are very attentive.

I liked that they (especially Chawanmushi) were not extremely sweet like other typical Japanese restaurants. Everything was fresh and good, I liked the Hotate sashimi the most, it was really soft. Service was nice as well.

Visited the area to walk the streets in the evening. The weather is breezy and architecture, mesmerising in this part of the woods. Visited this modern, upper price-ranged japanese restaurant in a swanky part of Georgetown. Food was generally of higher standard, i.e. more refined in choice of their ingredients, distinct in taste and more balanced proportion of carbs to proteins. Family ordered some sushi, cawan mushi, kimchi ramen, butaniku kimchi don and a tonkatsu don set. Green tea is refillable. Very attentive service. A must try if you're entertaining or wishing to watch the world go by. Enjoy!

Very crowded today as it is a weekend. The food was good and we were not disappointed. Prices here are reasonable too and the staff was very friendly. It is better to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

I gave 4 stars. Food is good and beyond my expectation. The taste is a little bit stronger and good for those prefer strong taste. Kirin ramen is special and fit my taste. Pork kimchi rice also nice. Takoyaki is crunchy and taste sweet. However portion is small looking at the price tag. Service is good. No issue of parking just park at Gama and walkover.

Attentive service crew and experienced chefs. Besides that, they serve fresh and delicious Japanese cuisine, not to mention the cheap prices you get for so much food! Been here many times and they never fail to disappoint. Highly recommended!

The Kirin ramen broth was so nice, the beef taste just right, their soft shell crab and salmon skin salad was superb that i can actually taste the thick crab meat and crab eggs. The portions of their food was bigger than expected.

The service was excellent. The overall taste is good. Be prepared that food is served normal room temperature/warm. Price is affordable but the portion is kinda small. Located at corner shoplots with limited roadside parking. Sushi made standard where it might be machine mould.

First time eating uni, it was bitter, yes bitter, I don't know it was normal or not. Anyway, not recommend. The original ramen is sweet taste, it kinda surprised me, but not bad (especially ate the uni, need something to wash my tongue)

I visited a few times. Overall the food is great. Sashimi is fresh, service is good. You might want to call for booking or call the restaurant prior before you come because they have limited tables. Parking is another issue. Street parkings are always full. You can either park at komtar or Gama and walk there.

No parking available and need table reservation. Walk in need to wait 30 min to 1 hr for a table. Green tea can be refilled but waiter very bz so its lucky if u even get 1 round as the cup are very small. the portion are small but the cheese curry and chatsu ramen are good. especially the broth. the tomago was overly thin and bland. ebiko was better. wanted to try the shi fish platter but was informed no more.

Located at a cosy nook opposite Gama supermarket, it is tastefully decorated. The food served is premium standard Japanese cuisine. Their presentation and serving size rival and sometimes exceed that of other equivalent Japanese restaurants. The only drawback is that they should expand to the neighbouring unit as well to accomodate more diners. My favourite White Tuna(Shiro Maguro)Sashimi came fresh, plump and flavourful at just the right temperature. For a more filling choice, opt for Shake Tataki Maki and Unagi Tataki Maki. Between the two choices, go for the Unagi Tataki Maki which comes with avocado. The Seared Hotate serving is a bit small yet I give them points for a close to sashimi natural taste complemented by sauces, roe and seaweed. Avocado Milk is actually a smoothie served in a tall glass. Their small space means no room for a kaiten belt. I don't mind since I prefer my sushi made fresh. Therefore I was most impressed by their Ebikko Hana Maki salmon sushi. I find Ikura Maki too salty so I stick to the Hana Maki which has been my favourite when I tried it some years ago at a major sushi chain. If you order hot green tea, it is refillable as the wait staff will periodically check on you. The standard Chawan Mushi comes with faux shark fin. It is served in a dainty ceramic vessel. Subsequent visits afforded me to enjoy the deliciously smooth Avocado Strawberry drink, sumptuous Maguro Tataki and tender, thin slices of tasty Aburi Gyuniku. To avoid the crowd or having to book in advance, dine in on a weekday evening as their small unit can be inundated during busy weekends. Be patient and you will be attended to. The food quality is worth it.

Went for a weekend dinner. Full house, wait for 15min to get our table, not so bad. Waitress service is ok, they miss out 1 of my order and quickly they reorder it. Ramen is good the soup thick and taste delicious. Price slightly high but overall ok.

Excellent dining experience here. They know their way around food in this place. From the sashimis, and seared tuna, pork belly, and rolls everything was just right. Some off menu suggestions by the hostess did immense justice to the whole experience. Come here if you want an intimate and exciting food journey.
