Specialty coffee is the taste pursued by modern young people, and the group of people who can drink specialty coffee are a group of expensive consumers. This Hoshino Coffee is one of those shops that sells specialty coffee. With a comfortable environment and delicious coffee, it is really a perfect match. It's a good idea to come here alone or with a few friends and family on weekends. With soft background music accompaniment, you can spend the afternoon here. It's also a great place to take a break when you're tired of shopping. After drinking coffee, you will feel as if the whole person is fully charged. Highly recommended.

Lunch here on weekdays. Waiting half an hour for food after ordering and still not served. Confirm with waitress three times before getting food. Slightly smaller portions and salty taste. After that I had to wait for half an hour for a cup of hot coffee. Is it the lack of staff? Apparently not, the waiters are chatting away while the rest of the customers wait endlessly. This is so much worse than the last dining experience.

I had a good experience. Attentive waitress. Food arrived within 10 min. Taste is standard fare. Nothing i would travel for but if you are already in gurney, go for it. Price point is expected for this kind of setting on this kind of shopping mall.

Japanese milk Coffee is good. It’s not sweetened. Condensed milk by the side in case you wanna add more. I would recommend the Japanese curry wit rice in the pot. Can’t remember the exact name but that’s good. Pasta is nice and portion is big can be shared by 2. Anyway it’s quite and nice place to dine. Try it!

Found the relaxing and european style restuarant in Gurney Plaza, they are serving Japanese mix with Western food and berevage highly recommend their dessert, pasta, abd cheese rice. Their service is friendly and honestly, and price are reasonable, rating 4 star.

The whole dining took an hour and a half to finished just for such simple dishes. Service was extremely sluggish. Don't provide water but only mineral water or Evian. Had to remind them to serve the souffle pancake but was told to wait for another 30 minutes because the kitchen hadn't prepare. Latte amount comparable to a shot of whisky but costs a bomb. Not recommended unless you have ample time to spare for a normal cafe with fine dining experience. Slowest service ever. Posh interior design is the only plus.

First time visit here, ordered their omurice and Japanese milk coffee, not bad, worth to try. Nice environment, Wi-Fi provided, order food by scanning qr code, food waiting time around 10mins for my lunch.

First time trying them where it is highly recommended by a friend. However the taste is just so so not surprising good and pricing is a bit high with small portion. Service is slow and we were waited for at least 15 mins outside left alone. After they serve the first main dish the waiter forgot to bring the utensil and we were like... What? Only I would recommend their souffle which is considered as tasty. Will not order their main dish again.

In general good food but at a higher price. The original Hoshino Blend coffee is good. And the french toast bread is definitely my favorite. Other items such as the chicken katsu curry is also good, I love how they put poached egg here for this dish. The spaghetti is also nice and my kids love it. I tried the fruit tea but imho I think the one at Winter Warmer is nicer. Other than that, nice ambience and good service by the waiters and waitresses. I read from other reviewers there is long waiting time but not for my case. I went on a Sunday night for dinner and it was not fully packed so everything was pretty fast hence totally no complaints here about the service. 😉

tldr; Great place if you enjoy some dessert and a good environment. As for their main dish, it was just alright, nothing too special. The environment and service is very good. Suitable for tea time or just to have a quick snack. Review: I’ve ordered the seasonal menu(Cheese baked rice with Salmon & Oyster gratin) and although it looks really attractive, the flavour is very underwhelming considering the price point. The portion of the salmon is very little and  the cheese baked rice has a lot of cream in it, which made it really hard to finish by the end. The whole thing is just too greasy. And for the oyster, it has the same topping as the cheese baked rice with mushrooms. It doesn’t fit too well and the oyster flavour was just okay. For their service it was alright, servers were responsive and their food was served in a timely manner. Environment is really nice, the seats are very comfy, the lights are just lit perfectly and it is very cool inside. If you enjoy the outdoors they do feature outdoor seats as well. I would not recommend this place for lunch/dinner, but it is a good place to have your dessert. Food: ★★☆☆☆ Service: ★★★☆☆ Environment: ★★★★☆ Typical Spending Range: RM25 ~ RM40/pax

Update: Went back after a few months for some coffee. Taking a star off for service that seemed a bit disinterested and off-handish. This was very different from our previous visit. I had the Oriheme blend hand drip coffee which was good and with just a hint of bitterness. The aftertaste was magnificent. However, I was disappointed somewhat with the quantity actually served in the cup for the price (see the pic). Why the miserlyness 😕. The Caramel Latte was well made and tasty. The souffle style pancake was good without being the best we have had. So, not a washout, but a bit disappointing compared to our last visit both in terms of service and the food and beverage. Felt uninviting and cold. Earlier review: My family and I had an early lunch here. We opted for the value lunches and selected the Hoshino Spaghetti, Wasabi Carbonara and Katsu Chicken Sandwich. They came along with a free drink each and one of them came with an added ice cream. All three dishes were well made and tasty. Service was efficient, thoughtful and quick. Seating was comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. Money well spent.

the wagyu curry rice was undoubtedly one the best curry rice i’ve ever tasted. the beef was very tender with a hint of smokiness flavour to it and the curry was out of this world simply delicious with a hint sweetness to it as well. one of the best restaurants ive been to and looking forward for more dishes to try.

Food is nt that great as I think it was. We did not order any drinks and they don't serve plain water at all. We ate the cheese baked rice very sticky and stuffy and no water to drink. But waiter service is ok👌

Good place for family with kids to have a tea break or meal in between shopping. My 4yo love the kids meal here. Finished a whole kids omu rice set by himself. Nice place for desserts too! And friendly staffs!

Wasabi spaghetti still good . Curry katsu was salty and portion of food is not big .The soufflé not as good as when first launched . Less fluffy and feels like sponge cake. Drinks are quite pricey but still good . They have membership which offers better benefits for customers.

Have always walked past the restaurant but never tried before, so I decided to drop by for a short drink and check out the menu. Quite a lot of stuff and price seems to be reasonable, so I will be back to try the food for sure. The iced fruit tea has no sugar added, so it's really good for those who can't take sweet or prefer not to. The lemonade wasn't too sweet either. Staff was really friendly too. Overall, very good experience.

Same Hoshino in Gurney and Queensbay but quality and taste was different!! Queensbay salmon wasabi pasta was damm good but disappointing Hoshino Gurney .. pasta was not warm n lack of wasabi taste n too creamy . Baked cheese seafood rice was too creamy . Soufflé with chocolate cream was too sweet , Not sure if the soufflé was wrongly prepared or their own version of mushy-messy by purpose. Tried soufflé in several other place and in France … dont remember it is this mushy . the Gurney version was much sweeter !! No consistency! However Waiter and waitress service here at Gurney is first class… give them 3 stars for great service but food was 2 star n below !! Queensbay Hoshino waitress … watch -out for the unwelcome eyesight if you ask for more empty plate for sharing . So , not one branch has best of both world !! Prefer Queensbay chef version . Pls improve.

Just quite upset bout the drinks today. Always loved the Curry Chicken Katsu and the Soufflé. The food was lovely as always. We ordered for the lunch set, came with these two drinks, I asked the waiter why the drink is not full. He told me “This one is procedure”. Just look at the drinks, looked like someone drank it before it came, they didn’t even bother to put more ice to make it look full.

Pancake souffle - 3/5 it's alright, decent, definitely need to pour most of the honey provided in. Onion gratin soup - 2/5 very very salty. With very little onion. Sencha ( pot) tea - 1/5 - taste wise decent, price wise not worth it. RM17.90 after tax. Not refillable. Only filled up the tea cup twice for 1 pot. Mixed Paella with chicken with seafood - 3/5 decent. Not much flavour.

Very very poor service. We came in at 2pm on a weekday just after peak lunch hour. Restaurant was rather empty. Waited more than 50 mins for our dessert to arrive, That is after 3 repeated reminders. Everyone around us were unhappy due to the long wait. Even though the dessert and coffee was quite nice, I doubt I will ever come back to this shop ever again.

Such a great experience with this Japanese coffee shop. The staff was really helpful by recommending the suitable dishes for our palate since the dishes were foreign to us. The foods were cold because I was late and the staff offered to reheat the food and even to alter the steak according to our preference. The staff constantly checked up on us to make sure everything was fine. The ambience was really nice and cold. The foods were okay but hey you should come and try it yourself.

Staffs in suits uniform and leather sofa, looks nice but disappointed bcoz from food to service, it's not qualified. You will just waste time here. Food: 1)Omurice - the egg is not the half cook scramble egg 2)Souffle pancake - it was hard and undercooked at the bottom Service: They served dessert before I had my main course where i already marked serve later. Main course served without cutlery Price: RM80 for 2pax! I can eat somewhere better

The Hoshino pasta was alright, but the carbonara was an upset as rather than thick cream, it was watery milk and when served, cold. Salmon slices were three small thinner than bacon slices. The chef was on the phone most of the time, the servers were happily chatting away and when called, a rather impatient attitude. I walked out ordering nothing the first time, gave it a second chance, and this was my third and last visit to this joint. So many other proper warm restaurant food around so, yes Capitaland, this joint needs proper review.

Four stars for the pot curry rice. Soufflé is a bit over sweet. Limited menu especially drinks.

French toast and rice dishes are amazing! Food is really delicious. Nice interior as well. Tried the one in midvalley in KL and this one is more or less the same quality

A nice place for a date night with girlfriend or with your family, they serve modern japanese style dishes. The menu is A la carte. But I must warn you for a middleclass prople like me that cafe is damn expensive 🤣.

Hight class restaurant the service so so only. Not all types of food are delicious the beverage way more expensive than you think. Ridiculously they charge us 10% service charge and service tax 6% not that i can't pay the tax but the service you give was not up to the standard, didn't double confirm with us after order, didn't greet us and welcome us and we get our own seat.

Had their Omu Rice and Pancakes. The eggs are absolutely amazing, best eggs I've had in Malaysia. The salad dressing is nice and the rice is good as well. The chicken wasn't as good though. The pancake was absolutely delicious, make sure to take it while it's hot! Definitely coming back here again some day!
