Goodluck inn hotel might just be the runner up penang worst budget hotel. You get intermittent internet, disco lights while showering and dusty small rooms with towels , toothbrushes that u need to painstakingly ask from housekeeping. At rm 100++ a night with slow serving order to cook complimentary breakfast. Terrible nearby hawker food stalls and doable walking distance to Penang Hill and temples. You will destined for more badluck ahead of ur vacation.

Yes it's so beautiful and lovely fantastic way to staying in this Good Luck Inn, but it is so convenient to go to market and eat Assam Laksa and others delicious food tastes. It is a good place to stay in and very clean and air-conditioning.

The only decent hotel within this area which is also having attraction places like Kek Lok Si & Penang Hill within walking distance. There is a vegetarian eatery nearby, Purple Stone Vegetarian Food Centre! Room wise is quite decent with comfortable bed & clean environment. Free breakfast meal within their eatery... the food option is kinda limited. If do not feel like eating their free breakfast, can just head out to the nearby market for FOOD at affordable price rate!

A very nice and interesting place to visit and it's far from traffic. Very good place to spend time with family and friends during holidays.

Those going to penang hill and kek lok si should stay here, another tips, can go to air itam Dam,have very nice lake and city view. King size bed and spacious room with kek lok si view. Very friendly owner and they run a restaurant too, food is superb,free breakfaat i appreciated.

The 2 ladies at the reception are the super friendly & kind. My check in time was 2pm but flight was delayed & reach only ard 3pm. Requested late check out on last day & required to pay $20/hr (3pm) but they only charge me $20…after check in went to room but sadly room was not made up after the last occupants left. So I had to wait till 4pm for the room to be ready, I jokingly said that the late check out fee should be waived since room not ready & they did! Room was abit old, floor though mopped still lots of hair. Windows glue shut and overlook the street. King size bed was comfortable, tv channels limited, air con was slient. Housekeeping provides 2btl of water & toilet roll daily leaving it outside. Morning BF(include in room rate) starts from 7.30am-12noon, cook to order choices of western or noodles. The cafe serves lunch & dinner also with a great variety of dishes at affordable $. Overall happy with the hotel as its located in a quiet area with plenty of good hawkers within walking distance.

I like the quiet vibes in the hotel. This room cheaper than other budget hotel in Cameron Highlands. Got free breakfast in the morning. The frontdesk attending also nice

Cons: I expected a nicer room, but everything was in quite a poor condition. Stains on sheets and pillows, cracks, and stains on the wall. The towels are old with ragged holes. The balcony was perfect in the Agoda hotel's pictures but in reality ugly chairs with a fabric cover with stains and so dusty. The balcony door is not fit and no noise isolation at all(outside a full day busy road). Lights on the way from the lift to your room are like a horror movie. It was an ok experience. But if I go to Penang, I think I'll try another place. I thought it's a 3-star hotel, but it was more like a motel. They provided free parking behind the accommodation. The breakfast experience was confusing for me since the staff didn't explain hw or what time is the breakfast when we did check-in. They seemed to be short-staffed (only 1 in the reception desk), and when it was bf time, she was also the one who cooked (the meals was good actually. For Muslims, please do confirm for halal food. Just to be safe). It turned out that we need to choose from the menu & she'll cook it for us. So be mindful of the waiting time. I thought it's gonna be a buffet or ready-meals (e.g., instant noodles or toasted bread, etc). Another thing, there's no toiletries. So make sure to bring your own. Only soap liquid provided & towel were provided. Good thing that they had kibla sign, so it's easy to pray. But the room is quite small so need to be smart if we want to do jamaah with 1 other person. Oh ya, at that time, the wifi was available but not working. Location is good, there's a 7-eleven close by and the temple is also can be seen from the accommodation. Friendly & helpful staff at the reception. But the hotel management, overall, needs to improve more professionally. Cleanliness needs to be improved. The bathroom hanger for towels were dusty😃 And the outside trash bin seemed to be unmanaged for a while since when we came, there was bad odour coming out from it (most probably left-over foods). Even until the next day, it's still there till we almost check-out.

Bed and breakfast. Small n cosy. Good price n clean environment. Big bed for 3 ppl. Near to hawker centre, morning market, kek lok si, penang hill. Basic necessities- clean towel, body shampoo, fridge, bottled water.

Very friendly & helpful reception. This room has nice view of kls temple. bf is soso but many nice food within walking distance. If u wnt supper, a burger stall is just on the right, u wont regret. Penang hill trekking entrance is just 20m away. Be warned is a steep route.

The room - Dusty . On the floor and coffee table accumulated a thick layer of dust. The makeup table also have same issue,Included dress cabinet Floor- not clean (I think it's just a preparation for few days ago). A lot of hair can be observed. Small Fridge- strong smells. Shower room and toilet- not a good design. No more comments (maybe is a love hotel). This hotel provided a simple breakfast and not much variety of food.And need to wait about 15 minutes. However, the owner so patience and understanding the issue I had bring up. The parking so small and located at the behind of the hotel especially the entrance and parking need our driving skills. This hotel best and ideal is their location just behind of the Penang hills and near the local attractions. This attractions included the old historic shop and food stalls.For example, walk about 15mins can reach local street food market or Penang hills. This is definitely increased in the time for traveller's to meet the next schedule.

Average. Foods are normal. Lack of parking space and the sound proof of the room is very bad, can even hear next door chatting.

The room environment is good for the rates and conveniently located close to Kek Lok Si Temple. The night food was good and easily accessible and more shop's are open during the day compared to night. Breakfast was provided by the hotel.

This place is in city centre. Rooms ok but the hot water shower pressure is low...they should upgrade the shower system

Room is a little bit smalls. The cleaniness of room is good. Nearby tourist famous places like 极了寺，升旗山。Surrounding also have few famous foods like Laksa and curry mee.

One of the closest place to bukit bendera for easy access. So location wise is a plus. But there are very very very limited parking space. Price - quite cheap (well actually just ok if u not that into detail of price) considering early booking Room - room is clean,but too cramp,bed was stiff,the plug point located in a tricky place. Staff - the front person is not that chatty yet provide enough information. But the back office lady is very friendly and the cleaner is very polite. Food - did not try,so cant comment Overall personal opinion - hotel is just nice and good,but not family friendly. Location wise is good,but downpoint is that parking space. Room is quite small/stuffy considering the furniture and all. This hotel is suitable for quick rest stop,or for bachelor/ette groups or those that want to feel the chinese old time town feeling

Clean room with big king size bed. Spacious room. Clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast at the hotel. I recommend the char kuey teow. Will definitely stay here again for my next trip.

Not the best but they offer quite nice hotel environment. Room cleanliness is debatable, not that clean but it's okay. AC, hot shower, TV and Wifi. Most importantly, free breakfast and they cook/prepare when you order. So the food is hot and fresh.

I stayed here for 5 days and the room are very cozy and comfy. Friendly staff and owner. The food and beverages at the cafe are really nice. I like their Chicken Rolls haha. Definitely will come back here. Thank you Ms Leong, it was a top-notch hospitality 😊😊
