Sin Seh Kai Artisan Bakery

Cafe Bakery

👍 Nice little cafe place that also sells pastries and breads. Located in New World Park, it has indoor and outdoor seating. During the afternoons you’d definitely want to sit inside. The selection of breads, pastries and drinks are not very extensive, but good. People often mention breakfast, good, bread, nice, sourdough, croissant, great, ordered, serve,

Roasted pork is good. Croissant is great too. Their walnut Raisin cheese bread is super good as well.

The walnut n cranberry sourdough is nice, not sourish at all. As it can be kept frozen, I ordered 3 small loaves plus a bacon croissant via Grabfood. Price is reasonable with promo. Yet to check out the actual store though as it was not opened on my last trip there during MCO.

We came in today around 11am - it was buzzing with people but there were still some tables available both inside and outside. We ordered an almond croissant, half boiled eggs, and kaya butter toast. We also ordered a coffee/chocolate combination (iced). Everything came to 33MYR which is very reasonable for everything we ordered. Staff were very helpful, and all the food tasted great. We had tried steamed kaya butter bread before, but Sin Seh Kai offer an “upscale” version of the toast using bread with walnuts - unsure if this was sourdough but it tasted fantastic. For foreigners - they only accept cash or Touch n Go wallet as payment. We didn’t know and tried to Apple Pay and use card, but they noted cash or Touch N Go only. It was fine as we luckily had cash. I’d come back to try their other croissants!

If you are a sourdough aficionado, worth a venture. Bread baked fresh daily, buy in loaves or try the various presentations on the menu. Good place for a peaceful morning breakfast...a cuppa coffee with sourdough slices. Croissant and quiche are delightful too. Not forgetting easy parking too.

Not sure is it because they do not charge us service tax that we were treated this way? - We came in and 1 table was too small for us so we had to combine another table. We carry the table and chairs ourselves while the staffs just stand behind the counter. We then asked for menu and the staff told us to take the menu ourselves from the counter. Ordered noodle with handmade luncheon meat and the food was not nice. The noodles were clumped together (my noodles and friends' tomyam, all 4 of us) and we had to separate the strands ourselves. Food here is also very expensive. Croissant was nice though but don't think will be returning.

Nice spot to stop for coffee and quick bite. Wish they would do a larger quiche though as snack size seems just not enough if you have one 😀

I am from KL and this cafe here will definitely be flooded with people if they are in KL. The sourdough bread here is super good, I love their traditional breakfast set with half boiled eggs, sourdough bread set and local coffee. Price is very reasonable with generous portion of butter and etc in a cozy ambiance. I wish they will have another branch soon! Come and support the great baker here 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ordered Big breakfast and Cappuccino on the first day of 2023. It was a rather chilling day and sitting outdoor was really comfortable. Everything was good except that the plate was rotating when I cut the food... I wouldn't complaint if it was RM10+ but for a dish costs than RM25, please use a proper tableware... can't believe the chef didn't notice it :o or he/she did but serve it anyway???

Another choice of delicious breads in Penang island. All the breads are freshly baked daily. They provided light food as well.

Convenient location and wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. Value for money based on the portion size and good quality. Bread loaves are fairly priced.

Frequent visitor whenever possible.. One of my top pick cafe for breakfast/lunch. The downside, it could be overcrowded, so try to be there off peak.

Croissant is really good. Weird thing is even the half boil egg is also taste better than other normal kopitiam. Probably due to the soy source. 😊. Definitely worth to go there for breakfast. Price wise is above normal hawker breakfast.

We tried the kopi and the pastries there - cheese mushroom sandwich and almond croissant (we were so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of them). All very good! Good prices and great ambiance.

Their croissants and bread are the highlight of this place, no doubt about that. Been coming back to this bakery cafe just for the croissants but this time, for lunch and I'll list the stuff I've tried so far, here. 1. Strawberry cream cheese croissant (9/10) - Our favourite. 2. Cranberry cream cheese croissant (8/10) - My personal favourite. 3. Pain Au Chocolat (8/10) - Buttery, flaky and chocolatey! 4. Matcha cream cheese croissant (6/10) - Would not recommend this one though and I'm a matcha lover myself. 5. Apple Pie (8.5/10) - Warm, soft and melts in your mouth. 6. Waygu pork lard rice (7/10) - It was not bad but not great either. 7. Tuna sandwich (7/10) - Simple and tasty. Love that they use French Butter!

Had brunch there, ordered big breakfast, signature breakfast, local breakfast & local kopi C. It can be quite crowded at time, food & service is fair. I appreciate the staff trying to help in clearing the dish for the table, it would be even more helpful to courteously ask if one has finished the food before clearing. Thank you.

Typical breakfast sets. The sausage is with egg yolk, it tastes more like a Chinese food, crab jujube to me. The milo ice is bland. The only thing that impressed me is the croissant.

A very humble bakery which serve great quality pastries at affordable price. You get a variety of food choices from western pastries to breakfast and handmade noodles and rice bowl. Definitely a place to go to whenever you are craving for buttery flaky croissants yet don’t want to break your bank!

A nice bakery cafe that serve not only bakery goods but also breakfast/brunch/lunch dishes to serve. The establishment serve both Chinese and English food, and they serve pork too. Car park is available in New World Park car park. The price is affordable to eat.

I ordered for white normal bread they gave me sourdough bread -, - Then the Waitress say I must tell the cashier is white bread. Then I said yes I told the cashier is white bread. Then he just say sorry we currently so busy then went off just like that?

The pain au chocolat is good, but the almond croissant is extremely sweet and the bacon quiche is too salty for my liking. Reasonably priced. Will suit those with sweet tooth

They sell many types of sourdough bread at reasonable price , but the dine in menu not much… is good for simple meals and coffee. Coffee is so so..
