Great food and reasonable price. Love the eggplants dish here superb 👍🏼. Cosy place and they have a book collection corner for kids. Definitely will come back next time when I visit Penang again.

Came for dinner with my family tonight. The service was prompt. The food was fresh, hot and tasted great. We ordered the balachan fries chicken, fish with okra in curry sauce, twice cooked pork, garlic shrimps, and eggplant with pork. Very affordable place too.

One word comes to mind, homely. Dishes are ok, everything is on a healthier side, not too salty, and not too oily (aside from the aubergine dish which was a lil oily, but that's not uncommon). If you wanna feel like your friend's mom has asked you over for dinner. Then this place is right up your alley. Be prepared to smell like what you ate, almost every dish comes in a claypot.

Local Chinese restaurant that has a really homely vibe. Food is tasty, and so far I haven't been let down by anything I ordered. I was surprised by how quick the dishes were served upon ordering, and they all come out piping hot, as you can see with the curry photo. Really recommend the fish curry and the eggplant & minced meat. The prawn toast was a great appetizer too! It was so good that only two pieces were left by the time I remembered to snap a photo hahaha.

A home style chinese cuisine tucked in the neighbourhood area. Lunch & dinner time can be very crowded & need some waiting time. Tried twice, 1st time wasn't to my liking, but 2nd time here, i ordered the right dishes, so it's good. The way of cooking might be different from others for some of their dishes, so it's either u liked it or hate it. The price is very reasonable & the portion is big because there's only 2 of us.

As expected....the quality has not changed at all..even after moving to a new location..about 75m across the road... Our family favourite home cook style restaurant... with excellent service....and familiar faces.. Kudos!!

Homely feel. Curry fish, curry capitan, curry Lamb, sambal okra, belacan jiken...the few dishes that I sampled for dinner were pretty good. And they're coupled with attractive pricing. A decent ' choo char' around Tanjung Bungah, Tanjung Tokong.

Super value for money! Unbelievable low price. Had a wonderful dining experience here. One of the dishes was over cooked (not in pic) and we requested the waiter to check, they remade the whole dish without giving any excuse. Excellent service. Definitely recommend this place to others who value service and good food.

Dinner at this small but cosy place. The ambience is quiet and relaxing with pictures of advertisements from the 60s. Brings back many childhood memories. Service staff is very patient when taking our orders and very responsive. Food was served quickly after we placed our orders. All the dishes reminded us of our home cooked dishes. We were very happy especially with the belachan fried chicken and we made a reorder for another portion. The other 5 dishes were also very delicious. Prices at this place is very reasonable. Will definitely include this place in our itinerary.

Variety types of food served here and it's okay. The food price is really cheap and the atmosphere is good, but I was expecting more since quite a number of friends recommended me to visit here. The butter mayonnaise chicken is somehow not blend in together but the others are okay. The hygiene is very good and the waiter are very patient explaining the food and giving suggestions based on our requests. I hope to change my mind on my review after my second visit.

This restaurant was located in a neighborhood area, with limited roadside parking, but there is a lot of parking available if you are okay to park along the road. We parked the car on the road just beside the restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon for about an hour, and it was quite safe, so I think it would be fine to park as per my suggestion. First impressions of the restaurant is that it is quite small and cosy, with only one big table for groups larger than six pax in the middle of the restaurant near the door. The other tables suit up to 4 pax, with 5 pax being the limit. However, there was sufficient space to move around and the tables were placed a comfortable distance from each other. The service was good and attentive, and the food came really fast after we ordered even though it was a fairly busy afternoon. The food itself was definitely the star of the entire experience. It was fresh, hot, well-cooked, and the portion size was VERY proportionate to the price paid, which was very cheap and worth the money. I would go as far as to say that the food in this restaurant is very delicious, and the best I have tasted so far, even beating the restaurants in KL in terms of Chinese chu zhar food. Overall, the whole experience with the restaurant and the food itself is outstanding, with no cons or negative feedback that I can provide. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good delicious meal with a very reasonable price.

Just discovered this place although it been around for while. Looked like a family run restaurant. Husband and wife team. Very crowded. Come early to avoid waiting. Food are nice and very reasonable price. Herbal tea was very good. Feel free to bring back the herbs!

We went there early for dinner. The three of us ordered 4 dishes + rice for each. The food came out quite fast and it was deliscious! I was quite surprised at the serving size and the low price. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

It’s fabulously cozy neighbourhood restaurant. I didn’t know what to expect when we were seated & presented menu. My friend picked up perfect combinations of vege, meat & eggs with waiter’s recommendations. Every dishes were tasty. You are allowed to BYO wine which makes good food even testier. Definitely we will go back.

We have never been to this restaurant before and am tremendously shocked by the food. It is absolutely amazing! We ordered the sweet and sour chicken alongside the salted fish chicken. The egg was cooked to perfection. You can notice the time and effort that has been put into each dish. Service was excellent and our server was polite. Highly recommended to claypot lovers.

This is almost like having food at home. The restaurant is a house front converted and located in between other landed houses. It does have its own charm - a sense of being invited to dine at someone’s place :) The menu is simple and the lady told us all their house specialities which included the Claypot Herbal Chicken. We opted for the claypot ginger chicken and Sambal potato leaves with rice. The food didn’t tickle our tastebuds but had its own savory taste. Loved the Sambal. The place is clean, service excellent and food served very quickly. Price is just right for the portion served. All in all a decent experience.

Decent, affordable food served in claypots. Apart from ala carte menu, customers can order their lunch sets which start from RM7 per pax. Those who prefer choo char dishes, can opt for small or medium, depending on the size of the group. For our group of 5 small eaters, we only ordered small size which was more than sufficient for all of us. Only setback is the place is quite small & usually full, so it's best to make reservation.
