A George jewel and after the make over we had to visit. We didn’t expect anything less. The attentive staff, warm generous food, coupled with taste makes this place one of the best restaurants in George. The prices are competitive and if you have been here before you know that it’s reputation compliments it’s popularity. Well done to the owners and staff. We appreciate it! Side note: took a takeaways for family at home too and the quality was consistent with dining in.

Good welcoming as you enter the Restaurant, it is a Turkish themed diner and has lots of seating. Service was quick and the staff were very helpful and friendly. After placing our drinks and food order, you are given a snack of Pink Turkish Delight to enjoy while they bring your drinks to the table. There is a short wait till you receive your meal, we ordered the Special of the day - a 750g Rack of Spare Ribs - and it has a serving of chips with it and a small salad. The meal was great and total value for money. Descent chunky ribs with great warm chips that were crispy, total winner. Very highly recommend to all current and future customers, we will definitely be back in the future. Come support the restaurants during these tough times. To the Management and Workers Team - you definitely have a winning combination, and what makes it even a better experience is the value for money.

Visited family in George. Had lunch at Kafe Serefe. Was impressed, so i went back a couple of days later. Good & quick service. One of the best spare ribs that i have had. Definitely recommended to any one that has not eaten there yet.

I really enjoyed the food and the ambience. I ordered a pork steak...can't remember exactly the name used on the menu but it was nice. My two friends also enjoyed their meals. It's value for money. There was a belly dancer on the day who was entertaining patrons. It was ok but I found the music too loud at times we could hardly hear each other

What a lovely experience. Kafe Serefe has recently been refurbished, and what a pleasant surprise - it is now open, light and spacious! The food (we had sirloin steak, salad and chips) was done to perfection and the service was also excellent.

We had a super evening as a party of 8. No complaints at all. Recent renovations have lightened the interior and the bathrooms are much improved. Highly recommend.

The service was good as always. I ordered the chicken snitchel for R75 which was served eith a side of chips and a small salad. I had trouble finishing my meal because the portion was sooo big. The cheese sauce served eith the snitchel is so good. Other guests had the chicken and mango curry and Eisbein and both of them were delicious as well. I would seriously recommend dining here.

I actually really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The merlot recommended was fruity, just how I like it and the prices are truly well worth it for a plate including a protein with a selection from veg and starch options!

Meal portions are great, priced according and definitely worth it. The food is out of this world good, this is a home cooked meal out. It has all the love and comfort of a cooked meal without having to wash dishes 😂. Staff are great and wine selection not bad. Will be back any time and recommend to everyone.

We were in the mood for Cafe Serefe today, because we love their food, but as we arrived we were told that they are fully booked, which is fine, but it was the most rude waitress at the front desk, I asked her 3 times what can we do, and she just stared at me with a disgusting facial expression. I asked her if she can just take my number and she refused. I was very happy to NOT eat there today, because we went to a place where we actually felt welcome.

Staff sleeping under a blanket at a table (I can't believe this as I'm writing)... + Terrible service overall (did not bother to ask why we left 90% of our order uneaten when we got up to leave mid meal; simply printed the receipt as we stood up and approached the counter)... + Sub par food... = Bad experience. The new refurbished Kafe Serefe looks amazing and very modern. This is still the best place in George that provides value for money. Furthermore, the hostess that worked today provided a great service and she is a real asset. This is a MUST see for people who are not locals, like us.

Food is excellent. Atmosphere was peaceful with magical sounds of turkish music playing in the background. BUT... Later during meal an extractor fan started up and the humming destroyed the peaceful atmosphere. Rather sit in the seating area behind glass. I dont want to hear the kitchen when going out for a special night.

I ordered a 400g rump medium rare last night. Was very disappointed. It was eatable but tasteless and overlooked. I expected a well matured van Rensburg steak, juicy, tasty and grilled to perfection. I had a ribeye steak a year before that was perfect and expected the same. We were seated next to a very noisy freezer and the service was also not that great.

Food were surprisingly tasty - had a chicken mango curry, at a very reasonable lunchtime special price. General the venue can do with a good deep clean. Furnishings looks dusty and weathered. Glass tops on tables are cracked and /or dirty on top and underneath.

Must say I was impressed with the quality of the food and value for money. Even the drinks was value for money. . Your server let you clean you hands and serve some delish turkish delight My wife and I shared starters of wrapped preserved figs and chickpea cakes with yoghurt sauce. There should have been a bit more sauce and thicker but quite nice. The preseved figs did not do it for me ( a bit pretentious dish to satisfy local diners). In hindsight we should have gotten the standard hummus. Tzaziki and flatbread. It would be nice if the have a better variety of mezze since it is Turkish restaurant. The main meal was yoghurt lamb and aubergine and pepper lamb with couscous and a phyllo pastry veg dish. The yoghurt lamb was very good and the lamb in both dishes was good quality and cooked to perfection. The eggplant in the one dish was a bit salty though. We finished off with a tray of deserts and Turkish coffee which is a must have. The service was attentive and friendly and overall a satisfying night of good food that is value for money My only gripe would be that the runners on the tables need to be washed and the place should look cleaner even though you have this rustic ambiance
