Excellent service, pleasant staff that would go the extra mile, suits, rooms very impressive clean and comfortable, had the best view, the sea view that was very therapeutic. People in the area was respectful and friendly. I would definitely want to go back, even the beautiful trees and plants at reception is very welcoming, the pool, braai area everything is satisfying to our needs. We appreciate this venue, staff for their hospitality and will always be mi dful of this venue. Thank you once again and Kingdom Blessings

This place was awful! False advertising on the website, it looked nothing like its pictures. Ended up going to another hotel for the evening.

Bathroom was very dirty!! Shower tiles haven't been clean in a VERY long time!

We were a group if 60 women. We spent days at the hotel. We had an unforgettable stay. Friendly, helpful, sincere staff. Very professional. Food was excellent. Service on par. We will definitely stay there again.

This is a 3star Hotel 🏨 cannot expect 5 star but very clean and bedding refreshed and changed 👌 daily 10/10 office staff desk staff 10/10 and very friendly food needs a little innovation can improve same breakfast daily.kitcken leaves a lot to be desired not very friendly. Remember this is positive criticism for the betterment of the Hotel .Please work on the kitchen staff the food needs a little spark . But the office staff and management made up for all mishaps .They are the Spark Thank-you

We are having a fantastic time. The hotel is nice and clean and comfortable. The staff are absolute fantastic. We are here as a group. Our breakfast and dinner is vert very nice. The hotel organised our daily trip and sites to visit. It is absolutely beyond what i was expecting

Beds are a abit uncomfortable, it's nice and quiet and I love that , my room had a loose fan which wasn't able to rotate , there's a nice pool also but the beds are really uncomfortable

This was our worst experience ever. After driving for hours in pouring rain, we arrived at Hotel Portao Diaz. Our room had a blocked handbasin drain. We were told the maintenance staff would be in at 7am - by then we would be gone. The shower looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a whole. The coffee Mugs had coffee on the rim. There were creepy crawlies on the floor. The TV never ever worked. We paid R820 - a disgusting amount for such pathetic service. This place will NOT be recommended, EVER I wonder if I'll get some refund.

There seem to be a security issue at this place customer cars was broken in during the early morning hours behind remote gates and electric fencing

Great price the whole year round, if you are on a tight budget this place will help you out. Place is clean and well taken care of

Would have been nice to actually have a remote for the TV in the room. A carpet in the bedroom, even a small loose one would be nice. Hot water in shower took forever to come through. Small dust bin in the room would be nice. Otherwise service was friendly and fairly efficient. All fairly neat and tidy.

Situated in a previously disadvantage area... But don't let the area fool you, because it's rich in history. The hotel it self is gem, rooms are clean, neat and comes with all amenities needed. The staff are friendly and helpful and are always willing to go the extra mile. But come and experience the authentic hotel for yourself. Also the hotel dates back to the early 1970's. It's your home away from home.

Not what it use to be anymore, the room with a pool table is closed completely and staff threatening minor with police if she didn't go sleep. Pool is broken everyday.

If you are looking for an affordable standard comfy bed and place to shower only then consider this place. The staff are friendly. However, adjust your expectations. The website boasts "3 star" hotel rooms which in my opinion it is not. Our "double room with ocean view" was a view through the burglar bars of the parking lot with a sliver of the ocean in the distance if you stand on the side of the window on your tiptoes. The location is also unpleasant. Taxis, shouting and loud music early morning and at night time can be heard from the room. We slept well but it was dissapointing in general

It is OK. To the Staff =100% . Breakfast =100% . House keeping = 30% . Hired a refrigerator through the Hotel - Dirty as hell. Bought a globe for the light at the mirror. R50.00 they don't want to refund me nor do they want to fix it . Kitchen isn't functional, only breakfast. All though the area isn't great , still received good service from the front desk . Overall score : Value for money 60% General score Overall 40%
