I went on this trail last summer. It is mainly gravel and goes through many small townships. You get old buildings and different kinds of natural landscapes to view. I only did less than half the trail before I circled back, but it is a hidden gem close to the city that makes for an interesting bike ride or walk

Mostly flat hard packed gravel trail. Was an old railway line. 40km from start to finish. Be careful of how you park your car. I received a parking ticket as the only vehicle within the designated area.

Friday afternoon's ride started off on shaky ground while a senior resident of the street came at those parking illegally near his home in Brick Lane in Terra Cotta. I promised to post a reminder that we be mindful of our neighbours. He was tired of the traffic - the garbage - the disrespect and lost his temper that afternoon when two riders sitting against his neighbours fence before heading back disrespected him and his wife. 1) park in designated areas only 2) take home what you came with..that includes your masks and banana peels 3) respect the resident who are inconvenienced by visitors. Rant over After a decade of not living near Terra Cotta we rode the Caledon Trailway to Caledon East. An easy 40k! I highly recommend it especially if you're a newbie πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

This is a great trail. There are some parts at the western end where there is loose gravel that's a little hard to ride in but otherwise the whole this is great and well kept. An easy ride. Do the whole thing..

Get there early or late because parking is limited. Only 5 or 6 cars. There is additional parking a little farther down the trail. Rode the trail on my road bike to Palgrave. Awesome trail. Extremely well maintained. Stop at the bakery in East Caledon for yummy treats

Busy trail with limited parking. Sunny and shady patches with a lot of road crossings. Only a few of the crossings are busy and attention should be given if riding with kids or group. Overall nice trail, similar to other rail trails in the area.

A wonderful trail for biking. The Caledon Trailway is a sweet spot for biking. When we were there, it was hardly travelled, a few walkers and a handful of bikers. Great scenery along the way, you can bike for hours. About 8 feet wide in most places and pretty flat, it’s a great space for a casual bike ride. Lots of shady spots along the way. And many birds, if that’s your jam. Parking at various locations along the way, best we saw was at Ken Whillans Resource Management Area. Enjoy! 🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nice and well groomed trail. Mostly packed gravel with some short stretches of ground. A lot of road crossings, some are pretty much blind with vehicles coming behind you make some sketchy crossings. The trail itself is very well maintained. Plenty of shadow provided by trees. I counted at least three bicycle service stations with pumps and basic tools. The trail is mainly flat but the feeling is you always go uphill. Took me just under 3 hours to ride from highway 9 to Terra Cota and back with the ride back much harder due to wind.

Visited this place and absolutely over what I was able to experience. There are a lot of trails available. They also have a lot of maps so that you can always find yourself or have an idea of where you are. Lots of trails and side trails to go on an adventure. There are ladders and stairs to climb in the first trails so be aware of this before you enter just in case anyone had bad knees or has limited mobility.

Went on a hike with my friend and her 7 year old and my 9 year old. We did the hardest one ( A.F Coventry Trail) it was a bit hard at the end when we had no more water but it was a great hike! Make sure to bring lots of water and bug spray as there are so many mosquitoes. I don’t suggest doing this with children under 6 there’s lots of steep climbs. I’ve been taking my kids hiking for a few years now so they can hike for long but if your not a hiker this will be challenging. Also there’s really no parking you gotta park on the side of the road.

What a nice place for a quiet stroll. The trail was established on the route of an old railway (decommissioned). As a result there are no steep climbs. Can wake, bike, cross-country ski etc. I highly recommend it for everyone looking for an easy trail. For something more challenging, I recommend the Bruce Trail.

Enjoyed BiCycle Riding on this Trail, It was like Tunnel of Trees giving lots of shade. Stopped at Four Corner Bakery for Icecream and Muffins. Highly recommend trail for most enjoyable Riding.

Beautiful trail in excellent shape. A little bit of elevation change but not too much. Lots of shade along the way, with several towns scattered along the route. Some places with portable toilets too. Highly recommended.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Not far from Brampton, yet seems a world away. Has a short trail to explore, complete with butterfly garden and other labeled areas. There's a marsh and the river flowing through it, as well as a public garden with access to herbs like spearmint, when I was there last year.
