A short walk from other attractions, this place is definitely worth the visit!! Beautiful display & knowledgable owner ready to answer any question and provide a ton of additional information. He speaks English, too. There are many pieces of raw and polished amber in all kinds of colors, from yellow to honey orange to deep red, but there are also unusual blue and green-tinted pieces too. And so many statues, jewellery, tiny chessboard, several pirate ship models, there's even a dragon. You will not know what to look at first. :) And if you can, do bring some money with you, because the jewellery they sell is stunning!

Small and lovely museum with exquisitely carved amber pieces. The owner was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He mentioned there are more than 400 shades of colors of amber and it was amazing to see some of the more rare colors. Thank you for a wonderful informative visit.

Small, yet extensive. Owner is very knowledgeable with many corroborating stories. In addition, small shop provides opportunity for everybody’s purse. Enjoy.

We walked over to look at the museum and were very happy that we did this. There is an amazing number of beautiful pieces of amber. We had previously shopped for Amber in Italy and the U S. The quality of the Amber here is amazing with very nice prices. We bought some unique Amber ear rings with small insects in the Amber. The shop owner certainly is very knowledgeable with Amber and the history of these very delightful pieces of jewelry. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did!

A museum as small as full of unexpected surprises. It's the greatest amber collection in Germany, sadly not advertised enough, and I believe it would deserve a lot more attention. The owner is really caring and manages a small shop selling jewelry, that is also available online.

A very cool hidden treasure of Nuremberg with free entrance! This impressive collection is owned by a superkind person who is ready to make a short tour in the museum. N.b.: Call him before going there. He is not always there but is ready to come extra for you and open the door.

Really beutiful museum with lots of history in it. You can find archaeological finds and art from the stone age up to modern times in lots of different colors and shapes. There is the biggest amber stone which comes from Germany! The mister who owns the museum and workshop is very polite and engaging. He answered all my questions and helped me with picking out a few souvenirs in his workshop. The shop has really beutiful jewelry too. I really recommend anyone who is interested in amber or stones and minerals in general to go there and experience that magical place!

Dense with amber jewellery, art, and craft. Both a hugely interesting museum collection and enticing shop. Very welcoming and informative host. Spent an enjoyable half hour here.

The museum is very interesting and has a surprising variety of amber. The owner was also wonderfully nice, and can speak English if needed. The museum and shop are quite small, but it is also very close to many other interesting sites, and so if you have about an hour or so to spare it is definitely worth stopping by.

We had a lovely visit to Bernsteinmuseum during our trip to Nuremberg! So many beautiful and historic examples and Janusz was so helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to select some lovely amber pieces from the store to use in my silversmithing work. I highly recommend this interesting place.
