A very interesting place. Very informative displays. Visited as part of a walk around the entire site (which took a good couple of hours) I would have rated it higher if it hadn’t been a temporary exhibition. Compared to the similar Document Centre we visited in Munich (which was free, this one wasn’t) there was far more information available.

It is very moving to visit such place. You need time to spend there. Due to Corona, there can be a line because only 10 persons allowed. Audio guide is for free. They have seven languages. If you have a child, please avoid such place. I find that things like that should be avoided when you are a tourist and with children. That is a place where silence is needed. Also very large sensitive pictures might not good for small children to see. Early teens and students of course would be educational for them.

a small one floor exhibition about the history of the area and the surrounding Monuments. entrance 6€ in an outside office. the building itself has an impressive glass platform on the roof, located just at the entrance of the Congresshall.

Heavy stuff, but super enlightening. I can’t imagine how crowded it would be on a busy day, but my party and I were able to take our time and not feel crowded. I recommend several breaks for fresh air like me if stuff like this can weigh you down. Several tours walked through while we observed, read, contemplated, interact with displays, and processed all this information ℹ️. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it is alright to not know something. We are all here to learn. Time should be taken if distractions tend to be a problem, because I have issues staying still at all moments. There is a lot to take in and it’s easy to miss things. Take pictures, ask questions, and be willing to listen 🎧 👂 .

Though currently under construction/refurbishment, it was still a good visit. Inside the museum there were a lot of displays covering the timeline and usage of the area since its inception to present day as well as memoirs and excerpts from historical documents. The walk around the really grounds was nice and the Zeppelin Grandstand was particularly impactful.

this the temporary home of the Documentation Center and it is not what I had hoped for. the cost of six euros seemed a bit high for such a small exhibit wait for the site upgrade to be done. your time is better spent over at the parade grounds.

Looks like it's having a major overhaul (Oct 22) so the interim exhibition is not much to look at. The building and structure is pretty amazing though. Look forward to visiting again when it's all done.

Interesting place on many levels. Reading from the exhibition makes you think about why it was important to have the war trials in Nuremberg. The sheer size of the grounds is scary. The incomplete concert hall is huge.

At the moment of visiting (13 of August 2022) the documentation center was under construction, so there was a temporary installation. The exposition I visited was quite small, and while interesting I would have liked it to be much more focused in the actual place and events that took place there and not a general overview of Nazism. It's important to know that you can visit all the kongresshalle and grounds for free, and that the ticket (6 euros) only covers the exposition. I would recommend not to pay and to directly visit the site and read the information you can find around.

The museum is currently in renovation. Currently, there is just one small part arranged. The entrance of 6 euro is a bit steep for what it is now, but already to stay in a real place of the history that you explain is a big plus. Then, even though it is temporary, it is well done and give you an understanding of the area.

Moving, detailed and thoroughly sensitive dissection of history of Nazis; from their rise to power through to Nuremberg trials. 19 fascinating rooms culminate in a viewing platform where you’re able to step out into the unfinished, coliseum-like convention hall. It’s as chilling as it is awe inspiring. Be sure to give enough time to walk the lake to the rally grounds and great road.

It is an insane and very wonderful but same time strange building. The roof was not built but it would have been gorgeous if it would! I was sad that i needed COVID TEST to enter even if i am vaccinated. Also, it’s bad that the exhibition was being renovated so i could only see a temporary exhibition ;(

Fantastic museum and historical site. Information panels are clear and well lighted, and the audio guide is great to help those who don't speak German. If you are in Nuremberg for a few days, I would consider this a must see. Makes a great day trip if you wander around the surrounding lakes and the 'big street'

(Translated by Google) I've been living in Nuremberg for 25 years. The documentation center is an important contribution to the history of this city and is also an interesting destination for people from Nuremberg. The only point of criticism is the design and the lack of contributions for children. My boys, aged ten and twelve, found it rather unexciting. The museum could come up with something more appealing. (Original) Ich lebe schon 25 Jahre in Nürnberg. Das Dokumentationszentrum ist ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Geschichte dieser Stadt und ist auch für den Nürnberger ein interessantes Ausflugsziel. (Translated by Google) Museum was okay, but generally doesn't show anything other than the Wikipedia article on the NSDAP. Instead, one could show more about the place. The museum is in a huge Colusseum-like building, which you hardly ever really see or about which there is hardly any information in the museum itself. This also applies to the surrounding, actually historical area, which does not belong to this museum but is left to its own devices. (Original) Museum war okay, zeigt aber generell nicht andere Dinge als der Wikipedia Artikel zur NSDAP. Stattdessen könnte man mehr zu dem Ort zeigen. It’s a great museum with lots of interesting facts and documentaries related to Hitler dictatorship and place of Nuremberg in the third reich. Ticket only costs 6 euro (car parking is 4 euro). I would definitely recommend to visit this museum if you’re in Nuremberg. It is an important reminder of horrors of Hitler era and ways of manipulation of group consciousness. Please make sure you take an audio guide, it’s for free and you can only understand many stands listening to the audio guide. The exhibition is large; it takes around 3 hours to go through all stands and see the documentaries.

Excellent exhibits chat chart the rise of Nazis to power and their interpretation in a postwar Germany. Currently, as of mid-2022, in a temporary building as the main exhibition space is being remodeled, but still worth the visit to the museum and then a walk to the rally grounds where Hitler's megalomaniacal speeches were filmed.

While the overall building/place is of historic value, as far as the documentation center is concerned, I think more information should have provided, not just about the place itself but the context etc. From that perspective, I liked the Munich Documentation center better.

Currently under renovation. It is going to be under renovation until 2025. A part of the museum is open.

A must when visiting Nuremberg. Very interesting place to learn about the history of the Nazi party and how this led to WW2. You have to read a lot to really get all this input. I would suggest having audio guides in all languages, because the only available texts are in English and German.
