Small but cozy restaurant. Delicious and typical Brazilian food. Good and friendly service. Reasonable price. Easy access with public transportation. Highly recommended.

All dishes I have tasted here are tasty! I really loved coffee here and cookies i got with it. But they remaded two coffees because there were hair in it!!! They remaded meat because it was undercoocked, they remaded fries, because there were really big hairline in it. Hair is literally everywhere, even in sauce! Unfortunately I havent done any photos except the photo of the sauce. But it represents the hair which is everywhere. I was shocked with the coffee, there were dozens of small hairlines there

I wanted to try this restaurant, one of the only brazilian of Hamburg, for a while now. Lunch was very nice, with a Mittag menu very accessible, dishes with meat or fish around 10/12 euros. You have A la carte all the classics, from mandioca (5e) to moqueca (13e for the vegetariana), as well as feijoada. We were all very satisfied with the food, and we finished by a tasty creme caramel. Friendly service, terrace if you're lucky enough to have some sun, you can pay by card or cash and separately. Will come back to try the caipirinhas (they have a happy hour from 17 to 20!).

Below average food, must improve service. Overpriced for what offers now. I am Brazilian and I wanted to take 5 coworkers to try nice food in a good environment, that was not what happened. I’ve been at Helo other three times and i believe this is the last. Service: mixed. The first waitress to get the order and drinks seemed completely unmotivated and make zero effort to create a good environment. My friends asked if all Brazilians are like this. Other waitress were pretty nice. Food: appetizers were definitely soaked in old oil. Half of them smell and tasted like that. I was craving for nice coxinhas but not this time. Me and a colleague ordered the classic feijoda, it was advertised as the mama feijoda and I thought “there’s no way to be bad”. Beans were cold, rice too oily. Someone ordered a vegan dish and it looked depressed. Price: my part of the bill for 1 feijoada, 1 water, 1 non alcoholic drink, 1 pudding and 8 small bombons (0,90 each) cost me €46,00. I round up to 50,00 because of the nice work from other team members. I hope this feedback help them to improve the service to next customers.

The food was not good, the service a bit better than the food. The spot is very central. Too bad, I went once when the restaurant used to be in Eimsbüttel and I liked the food. Today it was just disappointing. We were a big group of girls and all I asked were not happy with the food.

Lovely place with nice selection of Brazilian cuisine and great service.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. I recommend trying something you maybe have not eaten before and ask for some Brazilian Beer or Mate for your drink.

We Tried feijoada it was good Service was friendly Bathroom impeccable, all the place very very clean in general. We noticed a person alone order feijoada and got the same portion of rice and side dishes as us.. only We had to share the exact same size BTW 2. Felt a bit unfair specially when rice is a cheap side dish . Better go alone ;-) or ask for different dishes and try out more different things.

Very well received!! The food was delicious and good vegetarian options available. They provided a bread basket with homemade aioli which was an absolute delight. They also have a shot in the end which made our day!!

Home made food from Brasil! Great place to taste the most traditional brasilian dishes made by the family who manage the restaurant. Service was very good also and I appreciate the small details to bring us bread with alioli and a small shot of cachaca 😊

I ordered Rumpsteak and cranberry lime. It was really good and tasty. The staff are also really nice and welcoming.

Amazing food! We ordered "moqueca de peixe" (strongly advise if you don't know Brazilian cuisine and want something new) and "feijoada". The "salgadinhos" starter is also a nice choice, finger food you find in every Brazilian party and perfect if you're craving fried stuff 😅 Both dishes tasted great and the staff was really helpful with menu suggestions based on our preferences. They showed good attention to detail during the whole evening, a rarity in most German restaurants. We will be back again!

Wow, this place is amazing! I had picanha and was super tasty. They have as well very interesting choice of cocktails. Homemade bread and aioli that serve as appetizers is sooo yummy.

That is the place to go if you want to try the "Many Brazilian different cuisines". Brazil is more than the famous steak and feijoada, and at this Restaurant you can get food from many different regions of Brazil. Moqueca was really good, tastes like home. Staff were friendly, fair price for the quality of the food they offer.

Second visit. First time 2 years ago. Not really any changes since our last visit. Food is ok, but do not expect "blown away experience". Seems that the resturant fotgot to renew and develop concept. Too good reviews over a long period might make staff/owner lazy! Come on - step up, you can do it.

customer service: perfect. Large portions, tasty but very poor in ingredients. I'm a Brazilian missing home food and was a bit disappointed. I ordered arroz de forno and supposedly it had Brazilian sausage ... it did; I've found 1 piece. And finalized with pudim de leite - expected a home made caramel as we're used to, but no luck. Maybe I should have ordered another dish....

Unfamiliar with Brasilian cuisine, we did not know what to expect when sitting down at their terrace. But what a wonderful surprise! The (vegan) main course was absolutely fantastic and the staff was very friendly. We finished our dinner with a special 'Brasilian-German' dessert and some free schnapps. All in all, highly recommended place to get a taste of Brasil!

The "feijoada" , "creme caramel" and "mousse de maracujá" are a MUST! The best restaurant in town, highly recommended, I will be back soon!

Friendly and authentic staff with a passion for food. We ordered a picanha (meat with beans, rice, Africa and a salad) and the meat was great and an assortment of dessert. Absolutely delicious and tasted every bit like the food we had in Brazil. Definitely going back there for a caipirinha ;)
