A comfortable place without travelling to central! If you live around the area, this can be a regular spot for you. Food is overall good, staff is attentive enough without constantly walking around to make you feel like you’re being watched and it’s a very comfortable space for you to sit and have a good catch-up with friends. Seafood udon was the star of the show for me with the delicious umami and charred flavor, unagi is good although pricey, have never seen a red-er salmon in my life and okonomiyaki is good (and very umami). Recommend to come in a group and share the dishes as they are really filling. Service is quick and food is quick to come too (without tasting like it was pre-prepared). If you’re concerned about the price then just stick to sushi express.

A cosy place to dine with parking just at doorstep. Had my late dinner there. Food served was prompt and swift. Ordered their twin don. Unique to choose 2 different flavours to enjoy. Last order at 920pm.

Good atmosphere, free parking on Sunday. Food not very authentic in fact no standard. No service at all. Food ordered in sequence including appetiser, shashimi and main course for 4 adults. Food served not in sequence, shashimi first, main course and I have to ask for my appetiser then served. Price wise much higher than my usual Japanese authentic restaurant in Orchard Road. This will be my first and last visit.

Nice place with beautiful Japanese decor, delicious Japanese food, and good service from the staff. The Chicken Teriyaki is a must-try, and the ramen is also tasty.

I will even say the food here is disgusting, no idea how this place even got an average 4 stars. Salmon tasted cheap and nothing like salmon, prawn tasted like it been dead for 3 years (138sgd which we paid because we really lacking the energy to be a Karen anymore). Kaki fry is a whole flour dough fried with grease, no sign of kaki… the only kaki spotted tasted like it will give me food poisoning. (Waiter kindly removed it from our bill, without any apology) Only saving grace was the unagi bowl, it’s decent for its price. Seriously confused with their pricing. For a izakaya in an industrial area with less than acceptable food, they are charging their customers more than a regular Japanese restaurant in orchard road.

The worst experience with having fish is to have them fishy. Unfortunately that was the experience I had. Didn't expect it as it was priced at a premium. Unagi was fishy even after being grilled. Saving grace was the maki and sprouts. Deco was nice but oddly it was very stuffy inside like the AC didn't function.

Chanced upon this place and decided to give it a try! The place is spacious and they have a wide selection of food! We had the maki and don, and it taste superb good! Definitely worth a visit!

Seeing the video and the mention of unagi from Aichi got me hyped up. Hitsumabushi in Nagoya is amazing and it will ruin your life. However, this does not meet expectations. Like what someone else had mentioned, the unagi is fishy. It's better to go to the other restaurants that serve live eels. The ramen is decent since it's Hitoyoshi. The soft-shell crab and gyoza too. Their stuff is a bit pricy. The atmosphere is not really Japanese but they tried to play Japanese songs in piano. TLDR: Skip the fishy Hitsumabushi and try everything else.
