Beautiful and quiet park. At the base is the ropeway up to Gifu Castle. A lot amenities including a locker on site.

The place is good for picnic and rest. It's very photogenic even if it was raining during our visit. There's a gift shop and cafe around the area and it's also the way to Gifu Castle. Definitely, Ice cream is a must try.

Very pretty park and easily accessible by bus from Meitetsu-Gifu station. We went when it was raining and it was beautiful.

Worth a visit. However, be mindful that they may have their museums and lift shut down on the day you visit. As there isn't much in this area otherwise, that can feel bad. It's still very nice to walk around! However with the lift and museums shut down the whole of the park takes less than half an hour to walk through. If you're up for a mountain hike, then there is definitely more for you here.

The park is wonderful with pleasent sound of birds chirmping. It is good place to have a peace of mind and stroll around. I find this place very relaxing as very few people were present.

Gifu park is one of the top 100 most beautiful parks in Japan. Located at the foot of the Gifu Castle, it boasts clear running streams, quaint tea houses and a welcoming visitors' resting area in its compound. The trees are well trimmed, and the natural beauty of the greenery juxtaposes perfectly with the bustling city-scape around it. Should one be in the area to visit the main attraction Gifu Castle, they will be well served to take a stroll in the beautiful Gifu Park to enjoy its sights and sounds as well.

One of the best parks to go to during Spring and Autumn! 🍁 The view here is beyond spectacular! My husband and I took our time being mesmerized by the Autumn view before us and words just can't describe how we felt. This park is right before you climb a bit to the cable car ticket center to get to Kinkazan (Gifu Castle). So if you want to enjoy the view at the park and climb to the castle as well, I suggest you come here early as you would definitely spend a lot of time mesmerizing the view at the park. Beyond the waterfall, there's a shop selling hot dango, oden, udon, and other foods. It'd be a great final step after a walk at the park in the cool weather. Totally warms your heart! ❤️ There's also a bench and tables if you wanna have a picnic together with your friends, family or loved ones. Picnic underneath an autumn shade? Heck yeah! 🍂🍁

Beautiful and green park in gifu prefecture. It was silent and you can relax for long hours there. Gifu has really has many green parks.

In the hot weather of spring and summer, this park is a delightful respite. Wonderful kids playground, beautiful shady areas and plenty of history and art. The staff at the visitor center were very friendly and quickly dug up English brochures for us. The archeological site is fascinating.

An immersive sunset experience at the Gifu Park on the foot of Mt. Kinka. With the birds chirping, the water flowing and the cool breeze, you just can't help but love it. Especially coupled with a hike up Kinkasan to Gifu Castle.

Lovely park at the foot of the mountain that hosts the Gifu castle. Definitely worth a stop to explore the beautiful grounds.

This is a beautiful and peaceful park. In addition to the clean water, visitors can take the sky-ride up to the ridge, then walk to Gifu Castle, a historic heritage, to overlook Gifu City and Nagara River .

Has to be one of the best parks in Gifu. Colors are beautiful during the autumn season but the place is beautiful all year long.

If you are contemplating about a hike with your kids for the first time, here is a wonderful place to do that with great motivation at the top, a squirrel village to enjoy. We took the 七曲り登山道 (Seven-turn mountain trail ), 1.9 km long / approx. 60 minutes / suitable for beginners. I enjoyed this route a lot. It was raining buckets that day, yet was only a light shower inside the forest. The trail was relatively wide and well-paved. Yes, the last 200 steps were quite steep, hard to climb for my friends though kids, who used to walk regularly, had no fuss about it. We used a cable car to go down, but be no friends, we would have gone back on foot. Overall, a fantastic day out.
