Lovely & Professional tour provided by Quim. I signed up for a tour on the Christmas Day and loved that Quim is so dedicated and passionate about what he is doing. Silly me thought the tour will be conducted in English and it turned out to be a Spanish tour, but I’ve decided to tagged along, throughout the 2 hours tour Quim was trying to explain to me in English (he speaks perfect English, which is kinda rare in Spain) on some of the key historical topics, really appreciated that he goes extra miles to make sure that the only non-Spanish speaking me don’t feel neglected. So if you are reading this and deciding should you sign this up, look no further, give it a try and you won’t regret it.

My partner and I went on a free walking tour with Joan Marc and he was great! His English was nice and clear, his knowledge about the very beautiful city of Girona was insightful and he kept the tour interesting for 2 hours. chose this tour for English @ 11am. We took the train from Barcelona to Girona. Easy trip and walked from the station to the meeting place. Juan was great. Learned a lot of history and it was an easy walk. Great suggestion for lunch afterwards! would definitely recommend.

Kimi was a great tour guide, full of stories and anecdotes about the history of Girona and Girona today. He also gave us background about Girona football and other sports teams and you could tell he’s passionate about the local teams!. His English was very good. The tour proceeded at a moderate pace. We were never rushed and he gave us time for photos. He was always smiling and was very good at keeping us together and directing us on narrow streets. I enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the background of Girona.

We have enjoyed quite a few “free tours” in the past – Toledo, Madrid etc – and have always tipped generously at the end, as you should. So we were delighted to see a free English language walking tour was available for Girona as we were staying nearby. So we signed up and looked forward to the day! The guide for the day was Ricardo. He started his tour at the meeting place where he recounted, in excessive detail, the origins of the city and its location. He continued in the same vein for the next two stops. By the time we had reached the Eiffel Bridge we could take no more and quietly slipped away. Why? The guide spoke quickly in a monotone voice and provided far more detail than was necessary or needed. He did not engage with his group nor did he interact with them. I have never seen someone less suited to a job. Previous tour guides in other cities have been outward going, humorous, engaging, likeable people who delivered just the right amount of information to inform the visitor yet maintain interest. How sad that this promising tour turned out to be such a disappointment!

We did the Historic, Legends and Food tour. I usually have no interest in food tours but it was great. Food was a tasty pastry along the way which served as a nice little stop. Ricky was an excellent guide. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
