First of all I encourage everyone to visit Egypt regardless of which tour company you are going for. However, I recommend going for Memphis tour for their professional services. The highlight of this trip and using Memphis tour for me was their guides, specially our guide in Luxor Mr Alaa Rashwan; a knowledgeable Egyptologist who did not bombarded us with meer historical facts but taught us Egyptian history in a way that we won't forget. Memphis is reliable in its services, all the tour guides were punctual, available and flexible according to our needs. Again helpful and professional. I didn't give 5 stars to Memphis because of what I experienced from my stay in hotel in Cairo, the Hilton Pyramids Golf, and their servies. You can read my detailed review at Google reviews if you look it up; Hilton Pyramids Golf. But this is something that I am sure can be discussed with Memphis tour rep to avoid any disappointment. General tips for your booking and travel with any tour including Memphis. 1- if you have multiple city to visit on your list, pay attention to the means of your transport weather it's by train or flight, and the time of your flights, you will be give options to choose make sure you are aware of the deadline otherwise they will choose it for you however, they choose the best option to their understanding yet it might not be what you wanted. 2- I was told we will have a room in Blue Shadow however closer to the booking time it changed to a different cruise apparently a sister company called Tuya, allegedly the same owner as blue shadow, so I suspect truly wouldn't make any difference. Worth mentioning these Cruises were sailing side-by-side. 3- When I was in Cairo, we were taken to different shops which we wear told their price are regulated by government. I suggest have a second thought if you are going to shop there since I end up paying £65 for a pair of trousers, a top and an Egyptian style wieg perhaps I could buy them all for maximum £30 in London. Generally it seems (I read online the tour guides try to sell you different restaurant and extra tours) I experienced the same with Memphis tour but just as an offer with no pressure to accept it. General tips on these offers for the restaurant I realized it might be cheaper to catch an Uber and go to the restaurant, however, this is something that I didn't do it myself. On extra tours I accepted the extra tour at Luxor for hot air balloon which I strongly recommend and the city tour which for me was not very interesting but my partner enjoyed it very much. 4- it is also a good idea ( I was advised by our tour guide in Cairo Ms Reem) to buy a SIM card from airport as internet is not free in hotels and cruise. (Unless it is mentioned in your PKG.) However, make sure you use it wisely as my 16GB finished in few days, I have no idea how this has happened, but even if I was miss sold by Orang network company, I found it cheaper to buy the SIM card. I suggest to avoid my experience use the WiFi which Memphis provides you on their taxi and the hotel we were staying in Cairo. Overall, as I said I recommend the Memphis tour, perhaps you need to bare in mind the above points to make sure you are aware of what you receive to avoid any disappointment.

Let me first thank all our pros who helped plan and execute this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Nouran Fayez, our tour coordinator in the home office. She was fantastic - organized, communicative, and 100% trustworthy. She kept every promise. Our tour manager - Amgad Fawzy. From meeting us at the airport to accommodating every request we had in-country (including doing some extra shopping for my wife), to working on his day off to make sure we made our flight home without any complications, Amgad's professionalism and dedication to our experience was phenomenal. Our "Magical" guide Ahmed Farahat, who led our adventure through Cairo, Giza, Sakkara, Memphis, Fayoum, El Minya, Amarna and then our closing days back in Cairo for The Egyptian Museum and the most historic mosques in Cairo. Ahmed was unbelievable - so committed to our experience. He is a gifted historian and Egyptologist. He made our adventure informative, fun, and safe. He took some of the best photos of us on our trip and he will be what we remember most about Egypt. We had Mohamed Aly for a one day tour in Abydos. Mohamed was incredibly knowledgeable and took great care to explain the sites we viewed during our day together. Next, we boarded our Nile cruise and began a 4-day tour with Ahmed El Prince, "Prince" for short. Prince cruised up the Nile with us for visits to Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan. Prince led our small group (8 people) of English speaking tourists on the cruise. He kept us organized and moving through some of the busier sites on the trip. We felt he was unrivaled in his knowledge of Egyptian history and made sure we had both the highlights of each site and some of the more local flavor in all our stops. Prince took us to the home of some personal Nubian friends and their hospitality to our group was overwhelming. Our tour with Memphis was titled "Off the beaten path" and included sites that are tougher to travel to and to access (lots of steps). If you are in good physical condition and don't mind a few long car rides, this is the tour to take. It gives you all of Egypt, not just the crowded sites in Luxor and Cairo. At many of the archeological sites along the way, we were the only tourists present and visited many temples and tombs with no one else in sight. At every turn, we felt welcomed by the Egyptian people and incredibly safe in our travels. Memphis Tours is well-connected and the most-respected tour company in Egypt. Our guides were personally recognized at frequent checkpoints and knew all the local Tourist Police officers and processes. As Americans, we were apprehensive at first, but became completely relaxed and confident by our 2nd day in the country as it became apparent we were in good hands and completely safe. So, things were very turbulent with this company. We appreciate their services. But whilst pregnant, I was stressed for most of the tour, because of the operators. They did not plan our itinerary very well, and hounded us throughout the whole trip, not allowing my husband and I to enjoy. I must say though, parts of the trip were very luxurious, timely and organised. Dealing with them however, was just a huge money fest, and I truly feel I will not be touring with them again. Having said that, I still was impressed with parts of the tour, such as Sun City camp in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Honestly, I was in speaks with one of the tour operations manager, they were tight with discounts and wanted to charge us at every turn. We had overpaid, and they troubled us even towards the end, with holding our funds. There was a lot of mishaps and difficulties. So I will not dissuade from choosing this tour company. But think it over thoroughly as all in all, I don't think it was worth it!

Memphis Tours was an incredible organization, and make our trip to Egypt perfect! We had waited years to travel to this beautiful country and had high expectations. We were not disappointed! They are nice and all until they get your money and you figure they are scam artists! They stole my deposit $392. They requested a deposit that I was assured multiple times is refundable if my trip was canceled for whatever reason. I got sick before the trip and canceled my whole trip and they gave me the runaround for few days and then stopped responding! No refund of the deposit!

My boyfriend and I (from the USA) booked with Memphis tours 3 months before we went on our 8 day Egypt trip hitting three major cities: Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor. Overview: We booked with Asmaa who honestly was NOT the easiest to book with. You could tell that we were just a number for her to close and move on with her day. Make sure fights and times get confirmed. We did not get a choice, but I did push for later flights making sure we could have a full day and do a red eye. Also confirm your itinerary so at least you have it in writing. Make sure you specify who you want as tour guides (see below). Give expectations if you want photos or don’t want to get trampled by individuals trying to sell you things, your guides will take care of you! Make sure to request Mohammed as your driver for Cairo! I got in a weird situation when I went to go to the restroom and Mohammed stepped (as a father figure) and made sure I was not being harassed. He also stays with your things when you leave the car. Driving in Cairo is a disaster but Muhammed was the best and he was our favorite person in Cairo. Recommendations For Guides: Hossam Bashandy (Cairo), Tarek (Tour Manager Cairo), Mohammed (Driver), Nabil Reda (Luxor), Safy Abd Elhakem (Tour Manager Luxor), and Amr Atef (Tour Manager Aswan). Cairo: We stayed at the Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel. To be honest, the hotel was not clean but it served its purpose. It is also quite far from the airport and with traffic it can take over 90 mins to get to the hotel. The guide Hossam was a 5/5 stars for us. Super educational and he packed the whole day with knowledge and excitement. He was also good at steering us clear of scammers and people trying to sell us things. Luxor: Steinberger Luxor Hotel this was the nicest hotel that we stayed in- clean and new. I picked out Nail for a tour guide and he did not disappoint! 6/5 stars for Nabil. Nabil really showcased Luxor’s attractions (valley of the kings and Luxor temple). All around I would go back to Luxor in a heartbeat! Aswan: This is where our tour took a turn for the worst. We got to the hotel Tulip Aswan Hotel and it was by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen and trust me I have been to some very remote places all throughout the world. I highly recommend not staying here. We asked to either be moved or just to get some cleaning products so we could clean our room ourselves- the hotel was not responsive saying there was nothing wrong after cleaners came in and the assistant manager came to look at the room she told us that she was embarrassed for how bad it was. There were dirty towels, dirty sheets with stains and hair throughout, and everything had a layer of dirt on it like the room had not been used in years. In addition to this, the Hotel Manager wanted my boyfriend and I to sign a paper so we did not share the story of our experience- but we declined. Luckily, our tour Manager Amr helped get our room changed to a cleaner room (still very dirty) but at this point we were so tired we just had to deal with it. All in all, there was not as much to do in Aswan and with the sour was taste in our mouth from the hotel we could have left Aswan out of the itinerary. Honestly, it’s not worth the long drive from Luxor to Aswan on a road that is in poor condition.

I would absolutely recommend Memphis Tours to anyone considering traveling to Egypt. They took all the worry out of planning and were incredibly helpful every step of the way. Ahmed Awad helped us plan an excellent 12 day tour of Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, and Hurghada. We started with a basic pre-planned package, and then customized it a little to fit what we wanted to see. Everyone we dealt with at Memphis Tours did a fantastic job, and were very friendly and informative. Our tour manager Islam Abdullah was very helpful and informative for a lot of basic questions to help avoid minor problems/awkwardness for a society/culture very new to us. All of our guides were fantastic! Ahmed Farahat took us on a 2 day tour of Cairo; we really appreciated having such a friendly and knowledgeable guide around Cairo. We were a little stressed flying in, but once our tour started everything was great! Yahya Rayan helped us coordinate everything when we arrived in Aswan and was always quick to answer any questions. Mr Zacharya took us on an excellent/informative trip of Abu Simbel. Ahmed Elprince was our guide for our 3 day Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, and was very informative, helpful, and entertaining. We also really enjoyed the city life tour of Luxor with our carriage driver Ali. We really appreciated how friendly and informative all the guides were, as well as how passionate they clearly were about the history of all the ancient sites we visited. I can't remember all of our drivers names, but Steve was great at navigating the Cairo traffic and getting us to the sites safely. Part of the tour involves going to a few shops (e.g. Jewelry & papyrus & rugs & cotton in Cairo, perfumes in Aswan, stone carving in Luxor). We read a few reviews beforehand where people were critical of this part of the tour. Personally, I appreciated this part since they brought us to stores where they truly were high-quality locally made products. Every market in every city we visited appeared to have the same souvenirs, lots of it made in China. But, if you want something special, Memphis may be able to help find what you're looking for. I'll admit, I was concerned beforehand about the prospect of traveling to Egypt. But we never felt unsafe during our 2 week stay. Tourism is a big part of their economy, so they are hurting right now with a decrease in tourism. There was only one instance where things seemed tense for us (due to the language barrier), but our guide was very quick to step in on our behalf. Many of the people selling souvenirs or asking for money on the street are incredibly pushy; but the guides always offered tips or warned us if we were about to enter a potentially intense situation. We had an amazing trip, and were very satisfied with Memphis tours every step of the way. If you are considering traveling to Egypt, I'd recommend you check out Memphis tours!

My wife and I had an incredible time with our guide Ahmed. He was by far the best guide we have ever had!! From helping to take pictures to taking us to the best places around he let us know everything we wanted to know about the history of the region and sites and answered all of our questions. Our driver Machde (may be misspelled) and tour manager Rowis were excellent as well! When we come to Egypt we will only use Memphis Tours.

Myself, along with my family were there for a tour of 8nights n nine days with Memphis tours. Prompt replies to our queries always from the time we contacted them, which was around April,2019. We r early planners for each of our holidays . Excellent organisers, well mannered staff( drivers) , Very well mentained vehicles ( since we had a private vehicle for ourselves as ours was a customised personal tour). All the personal guides v had had very good knowledge of the sites that we were visiting with them respectively. Here a special mention about Mr. Khalid Mohasab who was our guide from the day we landed in Aswan n thru out our cruise to Luxor .Very humble ,well mannered person, patiently explained everything, answered all our questions, doubts n more very well. I would 100% recommend him for this particular part of the tour because here's where major landmarks like the Abu simble,karnark n Luxor temples, qeen hatshepshut's temple,edfu temple n others have to be covered n v were lucky to have him as a guide as we definitely ask alot of questions because Egypt n it's history n mysteries have always fascinatedy family. Another guide Mr.Memo. we had him on our Very second day visit to the great Giza pyramid n also for our one day tour to Alexandria. A lovely person, cooperative, again had the right knowledge about all the places v visited with him. A special mention about the cruise ,MS JazzCrown Jewel , Nile.A wonderful experience,warm n welcoming hosts, provided us every day with a nice vegetarian dish ,both for lunch n dinner, very well kept rooms , overall an excellent first time experience for us on a cruise. Since we had a 70 yr old senior citizen with us , I would want to mention here that everyone from our vehicle driver, to the tour or day organiser, the guides of Memphis, the waiters n staff at all the hotels that we stayed: la meridian pyramid, the tulop Aswan n the cruise Jazz crown jewel , the Sinbad co. Staff (Of the hot air balloon ride that we took with,at Luxor ), each n every person respected, promptly helped her to climb a certain elevated vehicle,the hot air balloon without a hint of hesitation n always showed nothing but respect for her. Places where there was alot to climb (up/down) ,they would sit with her while we enjoyed our time at that particular site. Would definitely recommend Memphis tours to friends n family. Mustafa from booking the trip online and communicating with me quickly and accurately, to Ahmed, always making sure we were having a good time and being our valued photographer whenever we needed it. Mustafa (another) made sure we were taken care of from off the plane to the hotel, throughout the trip and then back to the airport. His passion for Egypt and its culture really shines through and made the trip that more enjoyable for us. As a travel consultant I cannot recommend this agency due to failure to pay its partners. More than 5 months since my clients traveled and they have many excuses as to what happened to my commission. They may be wonderful for guests - but not for travel consultants.

We had such an amazing trip thanks to Memphis tours! We've never used a tour on any of our trips so we were very skeptical. But from the first welcome person at the airport until 10 days later when they dropped off us at the airport to go home it was a great experience! We loved our tour guide Mohamed Sultin and all he taught us. He truly helped us to fall in love with Egypt. Every detail was taken care of and was very organized. They helped us with our paperwork, bags, check in at then hotels...everything! Our only con was them taking us to several places to try to get us to buy expensive jewelry, pottery and cotton. We finally said "We didn't come here for shopping we came here to see the sites" And they didn't bring us anywhere after that. We would travel with them again for sure and are so glad we picked them to take us on an adventure of a lifetime!

We are very satisfied with Memphis and can only recommend the agency. Marwa put together a programme that met our wishes. The communication with her was flawless. The costs were transparent at all times. When we had to cancel a programme item during our Egypt trip due to bad weather, the money was transferred back to us. The tours are slightly more expensive than with other providers. But here you have the certainty that everything will go as planned. Memphis organised private guides and drivers for us. We booked the hotels on our own. The guide and driver picked us up at the hotel very punctually and then drove us to the sights. Our guides in Cairo (Ahmed) and Luxor (Elt) were fountains of knowledge. They gave us insights into Egyptian life today and many thousands of years ago. Their English is perfect and they maintain a relaxed, respectful manner. Thanks to them, we were left alone from the many vendors (and scammers) at the main sights. My parents traveled to Egypt with Memphis Tours in November, 2022. They had always wanted to visit Egypt so I really wanted them to have a good time! Memphis Tours is a reliable tour company with knowledgeable tour guides and courteous, competent tour organisers. They make themselves available to you whenever you need them, they accommodate your needs as much as possible and arrange everything so that you can have a great time with minimal effort. They took into account my parents' needs as senior citizens and I felt comfortable and confident with their care. The only small glitch was that on the day my parents were supposed to go on their Abu Simbel tour, there were some delays with leaving and they subsequently had to wait a long time before their flight. This happened because of a last minute change, which could have been better managed. But these things do happen and we understand that they cannot always be helped. All in all my parents had an amazing, memorable trip. And I'm glad we picked Memphis for this service.

I really don’t have the energy anymore to write down everything that happened because it truly ruined our family vacation but just stay away from it and book with an agency from your own country or at least from a country where you will be heard when it comes to customer satisfaction. After multiple complains to and requests the agency we were just ignore. So if you can book at an agency where business cannot ignore their customers as easy please do so!

My family and I traveled Dec 2022. It was a great experience in terms of seeing the sites but the tour guide we spent most of our time with (5 days) on the Nile cruise, could have been better. A few things he did were unprofessional and created the downside of our trip. First off, he was not on time for tour times he had set. We had to wait on him quite often and call his room. Additionally, when giving the guided tours, most of the time he gave high level information then gave us free time while he sat in the coffee shop. This was interesting considering we had a private tour and other tour guides were coming into sites and explaining small details. Lastly, we had asked him for help obtaining a SIM card and later found that the actual price of it was much less than what we had given. We felt that his guiding style was inefficient. That being said, the other guides through Memphis tours were pleasant and knowledgeable. Transfers and sites through the package were enjoyable and the company was most helpful when our baggage was lost. Overall a well rounded trip of ups and downs just like anything else!

This is a fantastic tour company!! We did the 8 days Cairo and Nile cruise and absolutely loved it from start to finish! The company is very responsive and stayed in contact and addressed & reassured everything that was asked of them. We met the tour manager, who had our visas in hand, upon our arrival at Cairo airport. Everything was so well organized! I’m not kidding when I say all I did was show up and everything was arranged, there was no hiccup or delay or confusion that caused me to lose trust or develop any concerns about this company. I started thinking if I was walking with a celebrity lol! Then I found out that this business started in 1955 and were actually just very well known and respected in the city. I am planning a safari trip to Africa and will definitely use them again!

We were a group of 3 adults and 4 children (aged 5-12yo) who travelled through Egypt in April 2023 with Memphis Tours. This was an incredible tour... staff were very well organised, tour guides were excellent and tailored each adventure to suit the needs of our party. My husband and I just returned from a 12 day private tour of Egypt but joined a group tour on our Nile Cruise. We booked this from Australia and could not have been happier. We went from Abu Simbel in the south, Aswan, joined a 3 day Nile cruise on the Royal Lily (food and staff were amazing), Luxor, Karnak, Edfu, several days in Cairo (make sure you go to the step pyramids in Saquara and the Red and Bent Pyramids too), then on to Alexandria and El Alamein on the Nile Delta. Our guides Oawis (in Aswan and NIle cruise) and Karem (in Cairo and Nile Delta) were exeptional. Reham and Remi were also very good. All drivers were excellent but our favourite was Husam in Cairo, Alexandria and El Alamein. We appreciated the bottled water and wi fi too. All of the hotels were lovely. There is lot of security in Egypt with many check points, scans and pat downs. Initially it may be a little confronting however I felt very safe at all times. If you go to the shops/bazaars the shop keeper will hassle you but just be polite and keep walking. The Egyptian people are genuinely friendly and helpful and the country and sites are mindblowing. Australia does not have a tipping or bargaining culture so we found this a little awkward at times. All up an amazing tour that went smoothly and was well organised. We loved Egypt and would thoroughly recommend Memphis Tours. Thanks

Over the winter holidays Dec 2019, our family of 5 adults and 3 kids booked our trip with Memphis Tours. We decided to visit three cities, Cairo, Luxor and Sharam El Sheik from the US.
