This practice is an absolute disgrace. Some of the Dr's are rude, unhelpful, and frankly, negligent (in my opinion, of course). In addition, this practice is run to an appealing standard. My family and I (including two children, one under 3, and the other currently 7 months) have been badly let down by the practice, concerns which I have now tried to raise for the past 6 weeks with the practice manager, David Johnstone, and his assistant, Lynsey McDonald. These concerns have been raised respectfully, and I have asked several times to just speak about these issues with the practice management team, but these 2 individuals appear to think it's acceptable to just hide away in a back office, and allow their direct, less senior staff to deal with the matter of myself as a disgruntled patient. It's a disgrace and a fundamental failure in leadership. This practice is being run less efficiently that a raffle, it's difficult to get access to a GP at times, as they now close their Gorbals surgery at 1pm every day, and there's questionable personal hygiene from at least 1 of the GP's, who when I recently attended invited me into a surgery room that was disgustingly smelling of pungent of body odour. The practice is poorly run, and frankly, is failing, miserably in their duty of care for their patients. I have raised multiple complaints lately, via email as the practice management team continue to hide in their bunker, and each of the "formal responses" the practice management team have provided could pass as having been written by my under 3yo daughter, and were inclusive of multiple pieces of misinformation or factually incorrect details. When I raised the anomalies I have since been ignored. These complaints included a response from one of the GP Partners, which was equally unhelpful and biased. Please avoid this practice, they are incompetent, dangerous, dismissive, and the management are treating their front line reception staff as pawns, taking zero accountability or responsibility. It's no wonder they are struggling to retain staff. UPDATE: The Ker Practice subsequently have removed me from their practice, due to, and I quote, "excessive contacts with the practice". In doing so, the letter dme without telling me what date my care with them would end, and by telling me to contact NHS Practitioner services if I have queries, and providing a number which took me to tesco bank. Incredibly, another error... This is actually a near miss data breach. In addition, they then sent an email intended for me to the wrong person, and didn't tell me until I questioned them, I still, after 5 weeks, await confirmation on what personal details may have been breached dor passed to a stranger, and have raised a complaint with the information governance team at NHS GGC. This practice genuinely don't seem to are about their reputation, level of professionalism, or the care they provide, which in my opinion makes them incredible difficult. Finding another practice was interesting, as every other practice I contacted in the local area was well aware of the appealing service and care this shambles of a practice are offering. If you have issues or concerns with this practice, I urge you to raise conplaitnd formally, if if unsatisfied seek further guidance from NHS GGC and report your concerns to the public service ombudsman, they need to be accountable for the terrible service they are presiding over.

This practice has one of the worst receptionists in the world. They always have this sick attitude whenever you call. I called today because i was concerned for my baby and the receptionist that picked up had the audacity to tell me that my concern for my baby was "not an emergency". Who gave her this right to establish if my concern for my baby is an emergency or not!?!? Now i have to wait a whole week just to speak to the doctor. Such rubbish service! If i could i would give this surgery 0 stars and after reading all of these reviews this surgery should really consider changing their staff or at least teach them basic manners of how to treat their patients.

Can never get an appointment until the following week this includes telephone app. The doctors show zero interest in listening to the problem or issue at hand. They literally are writing the prescription before you even explain the issue. My son has been severely ill on 2 occasions where I have fought for a telephone app to be given antibiotics with out him being seen. On both occasions after following gut instinct and taking him to out of hours the doctors there confirmed he should r have been given them in the first place. Really an awful surgery!

If you want to be treated like you are insignificant and a problem patient before you explain your ailments then this is your surgery. Bad demeanor and airs of arrogance from all white , male doctors and majority of receptionists leave a sour taste before getting through. If they cant prescibe a pill and dismiss you off of the line asap, then you are irrelevant. From someone who has suffered from anxiety I have to prepare my self in advance to call. Why us this behaviour allowed as part of the nhs in this day? Beyond appoling treatment and perhaps time for a restructure for young and fresh, helpful minds.

This is the worst practice you could possibly join miss dr harkins is a terrible doctor who shows no compassion and doesn’t want to help. The drs basically won’t even see you. I don’t know how this practice even survives as it is unbelievably bad. Do not join it’s terrible and they don’t care about patients. The worst

New patience at this GP. First experience is bad. It takes them 20 to 30 minutes to pick up the phone. Then from my phone call on Monday at 9am I have to wait to speak to the gp over the phone on Thursday. The doctor recommended antibiotics to treat an infection but they said I had to wait till the day after, after lunch, to collect them. This is because it’s someone else’s on pain and not themselves. Very poor customer service

Went and spoke to a doctor when I had severe mental health issues and from the moment I went in the room to when I left, he did not look at me once, ignored me sobbing, did not care that I was suicidal and just upped my medication and told me to come back in a month. You can't get an appointment unless you phone at 845 and only if you get through in time. Staff on reception are either wonderful or horrendous depending on the position of the moon. Ridiculous. Please avoid this practice for your own good.

I've never known such a shambles of a place, I was given h.r.t tablets when it's on my records I've had a previous blood clot, I ended up at hospital with another blood clot because of this and when I phoned about it fher was no apology, nothing. A few weeks later I phoned for a prescription, spoke to a member of staff and gave the name of the medication I needed, I got the script picked up an taken to the chemist, only to discover they had given me the wrong meds, I was given the same hrt I was taken of and should've been taken from my records. Its an absolute joke hence I'm looking for a new doctors.

My family have been with this practice since Gladstone Robertson days approx' 1958. I'm in the process of leaving as I just can't take the poor service anymore. After missing my brothers heart attack symptoms a few years back and misdiagnosing another brothers bowel cancer we grew weary. The reception has always been an issue, very rude and unprofessional. Recently the 2 younger receptionists have improved it slightly but they still have a poor attitude. The final straw came when they wrote me a letter before Christmas asking me to make an appointment due to recent hospital visits. I've tried the whole month of January. In total I've called 9 times and been on hold different lengths of time, adding them all up it's 72 minutes. I didn't even move 1 place in the queue. I'm at work and got into trouble a few times. The last of which I received a written warning. I've given up. The could be the best doctors in the world (which they're not BTW) but they're no good to anyone if you cant get to see one. They don't cater to anyone unfortunate enough to have to work for a living. Please take note Ker Practice, not everyone is retired or unemployed !!!

It's it not by time the doctors got back to work, have to wait a week for a call back, and when they call back they ask you how they can help. My husband was to have a procedure done due to aneurysm but could not proceed due to high blood pressure , which GPS and nurse not communicating. When having blood pressure check with nurse , he's sent away and told to monitor it , really. As there were no GPS in last Thursday. People are becoming seriously ill due to not having regular checks and visits.

Been here for 8 years, up until recently I thought It was a great practice but it has went downhill. Spoke to Dr Khan about my sons incontinence and he kept talking over me, wouldn't let me speak and told me to phone hospital about my concerns! If I could change doctors I would terrible service

Always limiting opening hours. Always poor and late at processing prescriptions. Always using staff shortages as reason for closing practice.

  • 1/5 Ahmed A. 2 years ago on Google
Their telephone lines are ALWAYS busy irrespective when you call them. Even if you call the practice and get told that you are number one in the queue, you would still at least wait 20 minus plus minutes. The one star is just because the doctors try to help as much as they can.

Wait 2 weeks for a call from the doctor. When the call finally comes I forgot what was wrong 😩 when you eventually remember and tell the doctor you need see them they send you to the nurse.

Absolute joke of surgery. Can’t get to speak to a doctor without having to book online between 08-30 and 16-30. Or even request a prescription. Don’t bother trying to update contact details either as no one will bother to do it. My two year old is ill and we can’t even request a call back as it’s outwith surgery times.

This is the worst surgery I have ever seen. The staff is so rude receptionist. She doesn’t care about the patients. Just ignore the patients problem. Try to explain and not listening. So I can’t see the doctor.

I have never had any issues at ker practice all staff are lovely, I have never had any issues getting appointments. Now they have online facility for triage which is even better, as find it difficult to call when working.

Online system is great so much easier to get an appointment and to get up to date information. I am not at the practice much but find the new system much better . Dr G Harkins and Dr Lannnigan are very caring.

The only reason this gets even 2 stars is because the nurses are amazing, and Dr Kahn too
