Braidcraft Medical Centre

Medical center

😠 After 40 years going to this doctors surgery I had to change my surgery. Phones don't get answered and your having to wait 20 to 40 minutes after your scheduled appointments. When arriving for appointment your made to feel as if your interrupting something and your being a burden. Had enough of this... People often mention staff, doctors, surgery, patient, years, appointment, practice,

After 40 years going to this doctors surgery I had to change my surgery. Phones don't get answered and your having to wait 20 to 40 minutes after your scheduled appointments. When arriving for appointment your made to feel as if your interrupting something and your being a burden. Had enough of this surgery. Staff need to pay more attention to patients needs and inform them if their appointment will be delayed. Then if need be a suitable appointment could be made. Unsympathetic staff. Do your job.

Been with this practice for more than 30 years. Phoned recently for an emergency call out for my dad at 5.10pm and request was refused. Their patient service leaves a lot to be desired to say the least. I find it absolutely shocking the way my dad was treated.

Been with this practice for more than thirty years and how it has changed it was so professionally run everyone was cared for but not now I came to pick up prescriptions three colleagues behind the desk having a laugh totally ignored me whilst they carried on with there own conversations until one boy forced him self to ask what I wanted no interaction at all half filled coffee cups on a very cluttered desk how unprofessional ! Looking for a new practice !

Phoned at just before 10 am ... was told to phone tomorrow at 8:30 ... I thought a triage system was supposed to be employed...given the information in the recorded pre-amble... no information was asked of me (check your recordings) so I have to wait a further day just to make an appointment and wait till near the end of the week to speak to someone suitably qualified I rang the next day from 8:30 ... it took 76 attempts to connet then waiting time ... I then spoke to a doctor the next day... .. this being Thursday... nearest appointment was Monday the 25 at 8:30 am ... so to this point a week had passed... Monday comes I arrive before it opens ... and an seen by a person who is I presume not the person I had arranged to see and I assume not a doctor but a nurse as kept referring to the doctor has said on her notes ect ... I don't feel this is on as I had arranged to see the person i soke to on the phone... to be palmed off .. this is a terrible system... too much focus on other things and not actual patient welfare ... sadly 1 stars... the drama is ongoing

We've been with this surgery for 20 years and I won't deny that I've had a fair few frustrations with them over that time. But, I work with a lot of GP practices in my job, they are all stretched to bursting point and issues with getting appointments are universal – they’re all under resourced and over capacity. However, I rate Braidcraft very highly based on my interactions with them over the past year. I have found reception staff to be helpful and informative. The current GPs have been respectful, understanding and proactive in their treatment. I was particularly impressed this week when they offered me a medication review, especially given the considerable strain on their resources due to the current pandemic. It made me feel that they were on the ball and keen to progress treatment. Their response throughout COVID has been great during what must be untenable stress. No one place is going to get it right all the time but, certainly for our family, this surgery has been brilliant and we appreciate their hard work.

Yes I would love to place an order for a prescription online but the last three occasions you have got them wrong so I prefer to call to try and avoid any confusion that obviously runs rampant... Can only place an order for a prescription between 10 and 4 just as well no one works between 9 and 5 in this country eh The people who answer the phone are less helpful than the boring monotonous auto babble from the opening message Actual chocolate tea pot outfit....

Always long waits even when you've had an appointment for a week. The doctors are great though so worth the wait!

From birth I have been a patient and in adult life remained at Braidcraft Medical Centre, through out illness I have been cared for and shown the utmost dignity and respected by all members of staff (Doctors, reception staff and nursing staff) at this practice and would like to thank you all for the continued support. Dr Rughani has been very professional and welcomed me and more importantly practiced to a very high standard. Thank you Jan

I moved Doctors because this place went downhill fast, we had great Doctors Dr Jheeta Dr Wittum Dr Henderson and then they retired and from then on it got worse, sadly.

Just an anecdote: I first attended Braidcraft Medical Centre in 1963! My grandparents lived in Hapland Road. I & my older sister lived in the old Gorbals. My earliest memory was calling in with my sister on our way to school, to receive a medication from a dropper which was on a sugar cube! We moved from Gorbals to Neilsland Oval, followed by Dormanside Road, then Hapland Road. I now live in Australia, where I've been since the 1980s.

I've been with this surgery since being born. I'm 50 in February. Through the yrs of being able to attend on my own I've not once had any issues with any of the doctors. I've seen mostly all of them through the yrs and again had no problem and always been dealt with appropriately and have been helped through some tough times in my life. All of the receptionists have also been helpful and think we have to be understanding of their roles at times working under strict health rules as well as the surgery policies and protocols. Overall I have been a happy patient for the help I've received with the doctors and know I'll continue to do so.

I’ve had a few problems with other staff members but both Amanda and Laura are very nice and helpful girls. They both are very polite and respectful girls and they both are always the ones to actually help instead of just being told to phone the next day as other staff members do.

Just want to say what a great addition the new receptionists are to the practice, they take time to listen to patients and always approachable. Would also like to comment how fabulous Dr Dickson has been for any appointments I have attended for myself and has been fabulous with my 2 children

Been a patient here for over 30 years . Normally no problems at all . Sometime can be difficult to get an appointment but that’s just the NHS in general at the moment . Phoned at half 8 this morning managed to get a face to face with the doctor later that day and had a prescription and medicine that same day . Happy patient . Steven Harris

Joke of a surgery if you don't call at 8.30 you have no chance of being seen and the receptionists refuse to do any work can't even take a prescription order for my epilepsy tablets which they stopped for no reason away to find out how to switch surgery
