Difficult to find quality food from an actual decent restaurant on a Sunday morning and here I am again enjoying a delicious bacon egg and cheese from Rys bagels. I can still remember when this place was named “Dons Bagels” and it was always the go to joint for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Sitting here eating this, it just takes you back and reminds you that some amazing things stand the test of time and never change. So thankful this place is still around, I’ll always support you!

The Bagels and coffee are delicious but the woman at the front is very rude. Everyone else is very nice. She proceeded to talk badly about customers, doordash customers and drivers etc. She was very pleasant with everyone else that was in the store but she wanted no parts of my husband and I. There's was 1 distinct difference but I'll leave that alone for now. Then when we left I went to eat my bagel and it wasn't what I ordered. So I went back in and she sent the nice young woman over. She then told me I was wrong I got what I ordered. I ordered poppy bagel and cream cheese. I got butter. I have never in my life ordered a buttered bagel. I don't eat them. So she then told me I had to pay extra for the cream cheese lol. So I was charged 4.50 AGAIN. 1.50 was an added orange juice. So I paid for 2 Bagels. She was so unpleasant. I'll never go back. No thanks.

I'll give 2 stars because the bagel sandwich was delicious. I'm new to the Glassboro area so this is my first time trying a sandwich from this spot. I called ahead to place my order and arrived over 15 minutes later to ensure it would be ready when I arrived to pick-up. I was in the main line but noticed there was a separate line for phone orders so I got in that line instead. There was one person in front of me in that line. After she was served, the cashier looked past me and continued to service 3 other customers in the "walk in" line (that arrived after me) with a greeting of "hello, can I help you", proceeded to take their orders, then point to me without uttering one word. I did not receive the same warm greeting that the other customers that she allowed to cut in front of me. I'm very disappointed by the service I received. I cannot help but notice the only difference between me and those other customers is that I'm Black. I was hesitant to leave this review but I must go on record to note that equal treatment for all was not demonstrated today. This appears to be a very lucrative business, be mindful of who is assigned to be the "gatekeeper ".

THE BEST BAGEL PLACE EVER!! As a local college student I appreciate and love this bagel shop, not only are these bagels delicious they are also affordable. The service is also very great, the vibes of the shop are always welcoming and relaxing. I recommend you eat here.

Horrible horrible horrible. I asked for a chocolate chip with cream cheese bagel, toast it, and when it came out, it was barely toasted. I asked for it to be toasted again and they put the entire bagel back into the oven and burnt the bagel and the cream cheese was melted. I asked for a hash brown and the hash brown was Burnt so I ask for a new one and the Lady told me that they can’t take the hash brown back because I already opened it and I told her I paid for the hash brown can I get another one I got another one and it was drenched in oil. So unprofessional.

From a delivery driver (Grubhub, DoorDash etc.) point of view, I absolutely hate picking up orders from here. They claim that they’ll call your order out when it’s ready, yet every time I go to pick up an order I’m sitting there for 30+ minutes and they NEVER call it out. God forbid you go to the counter and ask if it’s ready, the staff will just give you an attitude and shoo you back to the small designated area for delivery drivers. Sorry in advance to anyone who orders from here via third party delivery apps, just know your drivers are not at fault for your food being late.

The food here is amazing, though seems a bit pricier than other local bagel spots. It is good for a quick breakfast to dine in or to take out though and the location is convenient. The service is pretty quick and efficient, although not very friendly.

I don’t write reviews often, but I felt like this one had to be said. I have been going to Ry’s Bagels for many years now. I drive 25 minutes just for bagels and coffee. Honestly, they have very good bagels and very good iced coffee, which is what I get every single time I’m there. Because I’ve been going there for so long, I know that It gets very busy on the weekends, so I typically call ahead if I can remember. Today I called ahead for a very simple order: two bagels with cream cheese, two iced coffees, and half a dozen bagels not cut or anything. It took 40 minutes from the time I called for everything to be given to me. Now- I understand that they may be busy, but people who are ordering right at the time that I paid were getting their meals before me. So what’s the point of calling ahead if it doesn’t “save your spot” essentially. Yes, I told them when I was there, and checked in around the half hour mark, so it’s not like they forgot about me. On top of waiting 40 minutes for food, my bagels were burnt, no whip on the coffee, which are things I normally wouldn’t complain about, but with everything else.. it’s like COME ON. If that wasn’t enough, the weirdest interaction took place. A man came in to the bagel shop, very loudly, and the woman behind the counter called the cops on him because of his disturbance. Now, I understand that it may be disturbing to other customers, or hard to hear, but this man did not mean any harm, and the way the lady reacted was unreal. He came in talking about the football game… just making conversation. She yelled multiple times, kicked him out, and then continued to talk badly about him and how she “ won’t put up with any of that”. Honestly, it was just a very bad experience. I understand businesses have good days and bad days but you should always run your business like it’s someone’s first time visiting your place. If that was my first time at rice bagels, I would’ve been mortified of everything that happened during my visit. I will probably not be driving 25 minutes to wait 40 minutes for my bagels again.

My boyfriend was called by your employee or manager today about his order this morning. All I can say is the person was very rude. My boyfriend isn’t the type to exaggerate, he’s extremely easy to deal with and accommodating so to be fair I believe him. Someone from the store called him this morning about a Grubhub order chastising him in a condescending way about “not reading instructions” on needing 24 hours notice on a dozen bagels and “this is why they‘ve cancelled his order before” due to this. Which sure I get it, but why be rude about it? I’m pretty sure they acted like they were correcting a child? I acknowledge that he could have seen the instructions and followed them, it is possible to have glazed them over since… it happens. And since I was previously in the service industry, I’m aware at how annoying the public can be at times. Although he appreciated the call to at least change his order, maybe the approach could be better for the next customer? Sometimes it’s not what you say but mostly how you say it. I know people have good days and bad days but… let’s all be better to each other. Also to add I just got in from work so although he still changed the order and paid for it, I would have said forget it entirely if I was home. Which is a shame because I love your bagels!

Their bagels are among the tastiest I've ever had. But their hours of business contines to shrink to the point that anything other than breakfast is very difficult...so it's off to Wawa for mediocre but available bagels for lunch.

First time going in person (typically we order through DoorDash). I can’t remember the woman’s name we were speaking to but she makes all of the spreads and her husband makes the dough. She was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious! Will be going in person more often now :) thank you!

I have to say service without a smile truly exists at this place. I pride myself of being a very pleasant and sociable person, so as I walked up and greeted the older woman who took my order it was very sad to see the look on her face as almost if I repulsed her. I guess my lesbian/Hispanic charm didn’t do it for her. She proceeded to take my order in a hurry and yell out next! As I poured my coffee and listened to how the woman behind me was greeted warmly and welcoming just goes to show the ignorance that still exists in our world. Such an awful experience. That’s okay, they’ve lost my business for good.

Hands down the best bagels in the area. It's a mom and pop business with limited hours. It gets super busy, and they can sell out of bagels quickly. Be sure to order ahead to guarantee that you get what you want. Other than that the food is good and the employees are nice.

I have been going to Ry’s bagels since before it was Ry’s bagels. It’s always our favorite breakfast spot. I can’t say enough good things about this place. In a world that has become so impersonal, there are little gems out there that take you back to a time when people actually took pride in their work. There’s just something about the feeling of a family owned business that treats you more like a friend than a customer. They remember your name and your favorites. Everyone is always so polite and friendly, and the food is top notch. Everything is made to order and I’ve never been disappointed. Over the years I have referred so many people to Ry’s and they all love it. You can’t top fresh made to order food, served with a smile all for a fair price.

I’m not from here but Ry’s bagels is one of my favorite breakfast places in there area. The staff is always welcoming and nice. The bagels are always fresh. I’m not a big cream cheese fan but the flavored cream cheeses and butter here are amazing. Thank you Ry’s for your service

I have become a regular at Rys. They have the best gluten free bagels and everything is always ready so fast! Such kind people both over the phone and in person. I recommend to everyone!

Not the place if you’re in a rush. I’ve gone many times but always have to allot at least 15 minutes for a bagel to be ready. This is the case even when there’s only one other customer in the store. Nice food though

Ordered for takeout. We put in an order around 10 am sadly they called us back saying what we ordered they ran out. So we had to change our orders. The options were limited, however it was the day after thanksgiving. Anyhow great food & the HASH BROWNS were to die for. I would specifically go to this place just for their hash browns alone.

I had to wait 23 minuities to get 2 bagels, yeah there were people in there but that is a too long of a time period for an over priced bagel. Not to mention when i received my order and left the store it was just not what i had ordered. But after getting home I was not going to go all the way back out to wait even longer for a bagel. Over all Mid

Super slow service. Getting a bagel should not be a 20+ minute ordeal on a weekday morning after rush hour. Their ordering system is not very efficient and if an order is incorrect, you can expect to wait extra time. Not worth it for below average bagels.

My daughter & I both had sliced lox cream cheese, tomato, onions & capers on a toasted sesame seed bagel. It was delicious! came with chips & pickles. We were very satisfied!

I know they probably don’t care much (although they should because their doordash customers are also paying customers), but this store seriously needs a better system for handing out doordash orders. I’m expected to wait until the ONE cashier is done helping a line to the door just to pick up an order that’s already ready? The longer I have to wait for an order, the longer the paying customer is waiting to receive their order…please consider this Ry’s. Thanks

I love the Everything Bagel with Veggie cream cheese. The decaf coffee is also very good. The organization is pretty impressive too because they can be very busy.

This is our second time here, my kids and I. I am Turkish and my accent is not very good. The old lady working at the cash register acted as if she didn't understand although I think the owner understood my speech. And it was pretty rude. I accepted this as normal when we first came, but it behaved the same way when we came second. We got bagels for 3 people. I bought the ectra chocolate crosan packed on the side and it was stale and smelly. I told the young lady there, I think it's the daughter of the woman standing at the cash register or a relative. I felt so. I showed it to them because the Crosan was stale. He roughly took it from my hand, threw it in the trash, and walked inside. So I stood and waited. I thought you'd bring a new one. But he did not give a new one. It's only $2 but I asked for a refund because of their rude behavior. they did not give it. We made the branch on the day, it's not stale, they said we can't give you your money because you didn't like it. I really don't know where they are from, but are there such rude and racist people left in the 21st century? My children are very upset and they don't want to come to this level again. For the first time in my life I'm leaving a comment about a place by giving one star. I don't deal with people's bread. But these really deserve it. I would give zero if I could, even 1 is too much.

Their bagel sandwiches are good. We come here at least once a week and order through DoorDash. We always show up when we receive the “Your order is ready!” message but rarely is our order ever ready. Only a handful of times was it a smooth process but most of the time we end up waiting almost 25-30 minutes. We watch other people come in, order, and pick up their order before ours even though we ordered ahead of time and were told it was ready. It seems very unorganized. Not once, but TWICE have we had to ask where our order was because we were waiting an unacceptable amount of time and have been told another customer took our order or we gave out your order to someone else by mistake. They offered to remake our order but were not apologetic whatsoever. On top of that we had to order something different because they were out of the bagel we ordered since they gave away our order. I work in the food industry and I understand things can get busy but never have I ever messed up this often. Maybe a good suggestion would be to ask to see someone’s receipt when they come to pick up an order and make sure they are picking up the correct order. Or offer a free sandwich voucher or something for the mess up that has happened more then once. I love this place but have really been thinking about finding somewhere new to go because this happens way too often. It’s very unprofessional. It’s a shame.

My daughter connected me to this spot and what a great connection. The food is great hot and fresh. Ry’s is not a hit or miss spot they are always on point. I am Philly girl, so i know about food and Jersey doesn’t have many breakfast spots ,but guess what I found the a gem. Thank guys for outstanding service.

It’s such a pleasure to visit this place and get yummy bagels! Their breakfast sandwiches are 100x better than sizzlis and the prices are very fair! However, the best part is the workers/owners. They are so kind and friendly. I wasn’t anticipating having my dog w me when I picked up my food, and they very kindly allowed me to bring my dog inside while I waited for my order. It made my experience so nice that I will recommend this place to everyone from now on! Thank you!
